If they get Chubb I’m going streaking. -
Kyler Murray officially chooses Football over Baseball
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has to repay most of it, from what I read he received 1.6 million and was due 3.1 more in March. Sucks for the A’s, no comp pick. -

That’s why I think Washington makes a ton of sense. They need a QB and some excitement around that team. -

Did you count them? I don’t remember you participating? As popular as fantasy is I think the category should drive more traffic. No one cares about anyone else’s fantasy but everyone likes winning money. I was thinking of doing a weekly write up during the season.

$5 beers and $2 hot dogs: Will Fan Friendly Pricing catch on?
CommonCents replied to QCity's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Food and drink prices at sporting events are pretty ridiculous. I went TD Garden yesterday and saw my first Bruins game ever. The beers were 12.50? It was a 1 o’clock start so I settled for a 5 dollar soda, the kick in the balls is when they flip over the screen and it says tip 12, 15, 20, 25 percent. For handing me a coke? Blow a goat. We ate afterwards but we wouldn’t have been opposed to getting a few things there but I don’t like the feeling of being screwed. -
Bill Polian on Bills coaching and more....

Polian advised the Pegulas on the McD hire. I have always said that. Thank you, next. Also, Halsey>Grande -
Which non-Bills draft pick stung the most?
CommonCents replied to Buffalo86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trading up for Reggie Ragland and not taking Deion Jones. IIRC I went full melt down that night. -
Could the Bill's end up with 2 first rounders?

Replace Jacobs with Holyfield and we can get married right now. -
2019 Mock Drafts and top prospects
CommonCents replied to thunderingsquid's topic in College Football
I’m against TEs on the first two days. They take too long to develop, are the hardest position to predict (outside of QB), take more hits than WRs. Sure, it would be great having a good tight end but it’s a complimentary piece. The Bills would be better off taking a WR early if they are worried about getting weapons for Allen. Easier to predict, get hit less, produce quicker. -
Speaking of daddy’s, wait until you hear daddy Ball’s comments today on Magic and the NBA. ?

Prospects mocked to Buffalo in R1

Should we get Demarcus Lawrence’s address for Beane? -
If he didn’t say anything about the way he changes from week to week I wouldn’t have had a problem with the smooching. The Rams had two weeks to prepare I was expecting more from McVay and that offense. Longest halftime ever, still no real attempts at changing the flow of the game. There are multiple articles written on this and even Romo hinted around it. Yes, the Patriots are great, yes they are better at details than anyone else. Wouldn’t it be worth trying a few plays that you may not execute well but atleast NE won’t have the benefit of knowing what’s coming? The Eagles understood this and took it to the limit by even investing time in creating a fake walk through. The Rams went out there and depended on their players being able to compensate for their coaching. That is disappointing. It’s Sean McVay not Mike Mularky out there.

I agree. I look at first team AP and value that well beyond years played and total stats accumulated. It’s a mix but those hold those the most weight for me. Blokes mentioned Willis and I mention Thomas, both guys were 5 time first teamers. If I had my say they would both be in. They were the best at their position no less than 5 years. IMO it’s better to have guys snubbed than it is to start putting the Harold Baines type of guys in any HOF. That hurts the brain and it makes the discussions less valuable.

Prospects mocked to Buffalo in R1
CommonCents replied to TigerJ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hakeem Butler was mocked to the Bills by CBS if IIRC -
Take all the shots you want, you’re missing the hoop anyways. The point was and is that you don’t tell someone how “unbelievable” their methods are when that guy you’re telling is the one you are game planning against! It’s unbelievable that you change your offense, because I can’t! Atleast let me kiss the rings while I’m here. You’re so great. Xoxo Ted Johnson who knows the Patriots as well as anyone was the one who raised this point. Get your game face on and go act like you can win the game was his message. I agree.
