Mike Zimmer to name starting QB
CommonCents replied to CommonCents's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Keenum continues his play there is no way Teddy should see the field this season unless its in mop up time or in a clinched scenario. They play in a division with the Lions and the Bears...you forgot that part. Green Bay has slowly been declining talent wise. You are ontop of things don't make excuses for Zimmer. This would be a boneheaded decision. Do you agree he should have squashed this by now? It's like messing with your starting pitcher during a game. Just let him do his thing, when/if he flames out try the other guy. I don't ever remember Teddy looking this good and passing this much. -
Mike Zimmer to name starting QB
CommonCents replied to CommonCents's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He could and should have done that when TB returned to the active roster. "We are glad to have Teddy back he isn't 100 percent yet but he is getting close, we are going to have him work behind Case and get up to speed" Instead his failure to squash if starts a QB controversy. TB put his helmet on Sunday after Keenum had a rough start. All signs of a bad coach. -
Mike Zimmer to name starting QB

I expect that but even letting it get this far is a bad job by the head coach. Protect the guys winning you games, stand up for Keenum and put it to bed. Zimmer is a dummy, if he announces a change it wouldn't shock me. -

Phillip Rivers enters concussion protocol

Funny you say that. He threw a game ending interception to Bouye in OT. He tackled Bouye right inside the 10 and looked like he taunted him a bit. My guess is that was the play, from what I remember he did stonewall Bouye but the throw was cringeworthy. -
Or he is terrible and they are desperate.

Mike Zimmer to name starting QB

Shouldn't have even been a debate, letting it go this far could put doubt in Keenum's mind. Teddy's return is a good story, I get it. It doesn't mean the coach should be entertaining this decision. Teddy screaming on the sideline on Sunday and putting on his helmet after the slow start is what opened my eyes to how stupid Zimmer is. Your team is rolling. If Keenum goes ice coke and costs you a few games Bridgewater will be ready. Don't force a move and STOP the distraction. Bad coach. This is why they won't win in the playoffs. Bad coaching. -
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000876609/article/mike-zimmer-to-name-vikes-starting-qb-on-wednesday This is why so many teams suck, it starts at the top. If he benches Keenum the owner should be cleaning out his office during practice. Ride the hot hand. Teddy freaking Bridgewater doesn't need the red carpet rolled out upon return. What you are doing is working. More so than I remember with Teddy.

The playoffs - actually within reach
CommonCents replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's the time of year where good teams win and bad teams lose. As the contenders start to show themselves the Bills have quickly made themselves irrelevant. This weeks game is a must win. From reading up on SD this Eckler kid sounds like another match up nightmare for our cement foot LB's. -
Taylor likes to project the me against the world thing, as is evidence by his own teammates even saying we want to win for him because he has it harder than "other" QB's. I think it was Clay who said that, I can find the quote. 7 years later...perhaps if he realized its actually him against the opposing defense he would look a little more focused on Sundays. The opposition lines up across the line of scrimmage, it doesn't sit in the stands.

Bennett cut (update: claimed by Pats*)
CommonCents replied to The juice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me get this straight, your a Patriots fan who came over when BBMB was shut down. Multiple BBMB folks said you got permantely banned there after years of this foolishness. Yet, you never came here and bothered us with your nonsense until that board was close. Pretty obvious that this is a puppet troll account of some BBMB'er. Why else would you have waited to join here? I'm not going to respond to your nonsense. -
Every Nate Peterman throw from the Saints game

Wait a minute. You saw promise in Peterman but up until week 6 or so of this season you were being critical of Carson Wentz? -
Bennett cut (update: claimed by Pats*)

Bennett admitted that he and his agent told teams not to put in a claim because he was having surgery. Then BB changed his mind.... It's typical NE circumventing the rules and doing as they wish. -

Saints ran the ball 24 straight times, first time that has happened in 25 years.

Marty was telling other teams not to claim him because he was going to have the surgery...then BB called and he had a change of heart. This is such crap. -
Kyle is a part of the problem and he is being paid well. Our love for him doesn't change the fact that he is now toast. If playing in the playoffs with another teams logo on the helmet is what he desired then he would have left Buffalo for a cheaper contract with a perennial contender. He chose the money and tried to get it done in Buffalo. The Bills owe him nothing but his salary.

Manny Sanders must love playing on that team. He is the only one that stands up to piss.

I would have appreciated some honesty. I didn't even hear the crowd, I was just sitting there thinking what my first audible was going to be. It's year 7, I know it's coming soon. I want to make sure I pick a good one.

294 rushing yards, zero sacks but we don't have to worry about the edge because rest assured Shaq is setting it!

Could Dareus be why the players quit?
CommonCents replied to RobH063's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone that is implying that the departure of Dareus is why the team went down hill is a used car salesman trying to patch up a bad take. Even when the Bills were off to a good start the guys in the know said sit tight on McD and see how things play out once other coaches have an idea what the Bills are about. Did losing Dareus hurt the depth at DT? Of course. Has the injured Poyer, Humber and loss of Gaines changed the effectiveness of the unit? Have opposing teams got a grasp for the weaknesses of this team and exploited them? These last two games have felt like an avalanche. The only bright spot has been the punt coverage and let's just say they are getting plenty of practice out there. The team exceeded expectations and now is playing as most of us expected....bad. The roster is pretty bad, trading away the talented malcontents isn't going to yield immediate results on the field. McBeane's tenure will be decided on the weekend of the 2018 draft. Until then I'd like to see Peterman, I'm not sure he would win more games than TT this season but he would be more fun to watch. Peterman is like visiting Montreal as an 18 year old. A wild time of exploration and enjoying the unknown even when it's sloppier than you could have ever expected. Tyrod Taylor is the treadmill in your basement. You want to be excited to run on it, you try new music, you run with your eyes closed, you wear pants or shorts, as soon as you get on it you realize it's still the same old suck! -
It's been a long day, if someone rolls up on Brady's legs I will probably celebrate. I won't be proud of it but I will do it.
-
If Tyrod is your starter I suggest investing in a good pair of jumper cables.

An Honest Assessment: Who are our keepers?
CommonCents replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Poyer has looked entirely different since the injury, I'd be careful listing him as a keeper. He has looked hesitant/slow in the run and pass game. -
