Some a$$-backward government thinking for you:
We live in a small town outside DFW. Our post office is relatively small, and has customer service only 4 hours per day M-F and no Saturday service.
The last time I was in there I asked the customer service lady why they don't have one of those self-service kiosks where you can buy stamps and send packages.
She said that their location doesn't do enough volume to warrant a kiosk. They only put kiosks at locations that have a lot of volume.
Isn't the whole idea of self-service kiosks that you can use it any time and DO NOT need to have a postal employee there?
