  1. Funny story. About 15-20 years ago I went to a baseball game and got routed to a parking lot that I had never been too. As I'm walking to the stadium I see a cop directing traffic and ask him how I can exit after the game. The guy just stares at me through dark sunglasses and I'm thinking to myself what a d!ck. Then he lifts up his shades and it's my best friend growing up. Probably hadn't seen him in 20+ years and haven't seen or spoken to him since.
  2. So would I. But at least one TBD poster claimed success with paper even though it had nothing to do with a dog.
  3. You might need to use the search function, but I read somewhere that it's possible for poop to be transported via a paper-based packaging option.
  4. It was an itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka-dot bikini That she wore for the first time today.
  5. Clang clang, go the jail guitar doors
  6. People all over the worldJoin hands Start a love train, love train
  7. Wally Backman? If so, highly doubtful. He was in the news again recently and whether or not there's any merit to the lawsuit, I can't imagine the Mets would be interested in bringing him back in any capacity. "The ex-girlfriend of Wally Backman, the former New York Mets second baseman and current manager of the Long Island Ducks, has filed a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against the former major leaguer and the Atlantic League baseball team, citing physical abuse, sexual harassment and alcohol abuse." https://www.newsday.com/long-island/crime/wally-backman-abuse-lawsuit-ducks-1.36791698
  8. I interpreted 'Who cares' as 'Who cares what anyone's stance is...' not 'Who cares what jersey someone wears'. Perhaps I misinterpreted, if so you're right, completely valid opinion.
  9. Why did you bother weighing in? There are countless threads I open and think the same as you, I ignore them.
  10. I would too if I had one. I'm curious, did you buy it before or after?
  11. It's not a good look. But the ridiculous cost of NFL merchandise makes it understandable. With that said there's a point in time where you just need to put a jersey in moth balls. 99 was done when we faced JAX in the playoffs.
  12. Some of you might not agree'Cause you probably likes a lot of miseryBut think a while and you will seeBroken hearts are for <expletive deleted>'s
  13. Thanks for the info. I'd have no problem bringing in Super Joe, but if I had my choice I'd go with Joe Maddon. Partly because I think he's a good manager but mostly because I think he'd keep things interesting.
  14. Has Super Joe been mentioned? Haven't heard his name in awhile, has he been coaching or managing anywhere? I'd be K with him if he's been working towards it..
  15. He still has that Yankee stench. I suppose I could get over it like I did with Granderson. On the other hand, Willie Randolph was always a Yankeee managing the Mets to me.
  16. It's a cruel, cruel summer Leaving me here on my own
  17. Had to google it, but this reminded me of: "In the fourth season, George comes across his now-ex Susan holding hands with another woman at a video store and decides he wants her back. That won’t be as hard as it sounds, as Kramer gets Susan’s new girlfriend to fall for him. George exclaims, “Amazing! I drive them to lesbianism, he brings them back.”
  18. Always liked Leyland. And unless I'm mistaken former Pirate Sid Bream - who was as slow as it gets - scored the winning run.
  19. I would have been OK with the Mets winning in 1973 with 82.
  20. '92 Braves-Pirates was another good one.
  21. Ross the Boss! Also played with Manowar.
  22. School's out for summer School's out forever
  23. Brodie coming right out and saying Diaz and Thor won't be traded. Could just be posturing. https://nypost.com/2019/10/03/mets-wont-trade-edwin-diaz-or-noah-syndergaard-brodie-van-wagenen/
  24. I wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well!
