  1. Do it like the game day threads. One pinned thread per week that gets locked on either Sunday or Monday night.
  2. How do I get him to promise that he'll never to come to my town?
  3. It was purely a guess based on the fact that they were both in the picture, how old they looked and what they were wearing. Put another way, every so often the blind squirrel finds a nut.
  4. Tears for Fears?
  5. Flacco?
  6. Ours was actually in Bora Bora as well. They didn't have a rope for us. We went on an outrigger canoe and I had to hook my arm around the outrigger to keep from drifting. Kind of a pain. The other thing I remember was where we stopped was within eyesight of our hut. The next time I went snorkeling from the hut was a bit different knowing what might be out there.
  7. In your world, 15 more yards through the air and that would have been a more enjoyable game to watch than a 17-14 Bills win.
  8. My 'concerned' comment was intended as shade to the perennial non-believers and the reactionary folks on the board who get their panties in a bunch after every loss or declare us SB champs after every win. Silly But after 5 games, it's easier for me to shrug off the O's performance tonight than the D's.
  9. I thought Beasley played well when the ball was thrown his way.
  10. In fairness, the D this year is nowhere near as good as it's been the past few years. I'll leave it to the football mensa as to why, but it wasn't just tonight IMO. Just one loss, but with the KC juggernaut up next, I'm 'concerned'. Regardless, GO BILLS!
  11. New music from an old friend. I've known one of the guys in the band since third grade.
  12. I thought Beasley had a good game.
  13. RIP to another legend. Only second baseman to win back to back MVP awards. The fact that he did it while on the same team as Bench, Rose and Perez makes it even more remarkable. And who can forget his iconic batting stance, whirling the bat and pumping his elbow:
  14. Congrats Sabres fans!
  15. Will the wind ever remember? The names it has blown in the past
  16. Tuesdays gone with the wind.
  17. Stayed at Zion Mountain Ranch a few years ago. They have a herd of buffalo that roam the property. Buffalo are fenced in so we were able to get up close a few times. https://www.zmr.com/
  18. Nope, but one time I was nearly convinced. When my first was in the crib we had a black & white video monitor. Picture was very grainy. Woke up one night and wifey was transfixed on it. Wondering what was up I took a look and saw what looked for all the world like ghosts flying back and forth above the crib. White wispy apparitions flying randomly over the crib. Not gonna lie, it freaked me out. Started doubting my doubt of ghosts. Actually pissed me off that anything was messing with my son so I went to take a look. Absolutely nothing to see in his room. Just a baby enjoying a good nights sleep in a calm ghost-free room. Which made no sense so I went back to check on the video and sure enough the 'ghosts' were still there. Turns out there was an oscillating fan in my sons room blowing a huge cobweb that was hanging in front of the video camera. Good times.
  19. Master of puppets I'm pulling your strings Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams Blinded by me you can't see a thing
  20. The mention of Myrtle Beach reminded me of this from a few years ago:
  21. Correct on the Ramones. No clue on yours 🤷‍♂️
  22. On my honeymoon in Tahiti. Wife-to-be was somewhat of a thrill seeker. Bungee jumped off a hot air balloon, went parachuting, all before I met her. I'm risk averse, so when we were planning the honeymoon and she mentioned swimming with the sharks I was like wtf. But she was all in and male pride being what it is there was no way I was gonna sit on the boat. So the day comes and we circle Bora Bora on our excursion stopping a few times along the way. At one stop we got inundated by rays, but no sharks. My wife hated the rays. She had gotten slimed by them in a previous trip without me. As we come full circle and it appears there will be no sharks, we make one last stop and lo and behold the sharks make an appearance. Rays too. They were black tipped reef sharks which are supposedly docile. To be honest, as sharks go they weren't very big so I jump in. As I'm watching the sharks swim maybe 10 feet from me - which was cool as hell - I notice wifey is still on the boat so I wave her in. She's having none of it. Says she doesn't want to get slimed by the rays. And I'm like, trust me the rays will be the last thing on your mind, but she doesn't budge. Around this time to enhance the experience the tour operator starts throwing chum in the water to draw the sharks closer. The sharks start doing the aggressive tail swing thing and I nearly sh!t myself. Seriously can't remember when I've been more scared (maybe on the altar). I know they were relatively small, docile sharks but I got back on the boat as fast as I could. Little did she know that the biggest risk she'd take was marrying me. Little did I know the true terror that lied ahead after I married her. Good times.
  23. Chewin' out a rhythm on my bubble gum
  24. Don't think I ever heard that one. I'll have to check it out. BTW that Bubble Puppy band sounded pretty good. Shout out to @Joe in Winslow for starting this thread. Very cool that music from very different genres is being posted without the customary 'that sucks' responses.
  25. Akerfeldt (and Steven Wilson) put out some great music but then they went in different directions. All the best to them, if they stayed with what didn't interest them anymore the music probably would have suffered. Just not for me. Back to Opeth. Another night my bud - who was on the Iron Maiden side of the Remember Tomorrow story and tbh kind of stuck in the 80's - and I were going back and forth about what we were listening to that was heavy. I pretty much shut him up with Ghosts Of Perdition.
