What is everyone doing for food for tomorrows game?
boater replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm going to be a guest where pulled pork is served. I don't know the sides. I'm grateful for the invite. -
He had me at "Burn that" referring to our past issues. Burn that. VM is an old man. Please dear God, let him lead the way.

You can still be highly functional. Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is believed to be on the spectrum. Google it.

Most talented player in Bills franchise history?
boater replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is a hard question for us middle-agers to answer. we have parents who regale us of stories of Cookie Gilchrist and Jack Kemp we lived the glory years of the 4x Superbowl run we experienced the playoff draught and we're where we at today: favorites for the Super Bowl I'm going retro and modern. Cookie. He may have been the best natural athlete, from training camp in East Aurora, when all the players had side-jobs. It may be trite to say so, but I think JA17 is something special. -
You about summed my concerns up right there. Cooper Kupp v. a rookie and Dane Jackson? 17 better score some points, we're going to need them.

Yes, prayers for Kim. We haven't heard much from her since her recent health incident. I hope she is doing OK.

I believe you are onto something. The 45 day delay is because they haven't hammered out a Community Benefits Agreement. Without a CBA, the stadium deal is DOA.

OJ Howard expected to sign with Bengals (update: signs with Texans)
boater replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
What are the Bills salary cap implications of Howard signing with the Texans? -
Week 1: Bills at Rams on TNF in NFL Kickoff Game

Also, not much wiggle room to give Poyer a raise. -
Sam Martin in Buffalo on a visit (Signed to a 1 yr contract)
boater replied to Turbo44's topic in The Stadium Wall
So.. does signing this ostensibly high priced punter blow away any salary cap flexibility we had to offer Jordan Poyer? -
Our new punter will be (Update pg. 38 - Martin Signed)

For some reason I can't put my finger on it, but I'm salty at being spurned by Brett Kern. It's like it's a personal insult. I know it's just business so I know I should man-up and accept it. But I'm not there yet. Anyone else feel the same? -
I just ran an annuity calculator. If he was frugal with his NFL pay he could withdraw 5 figures a month for the rest of his life. Hardly a pauper.

McDermott/Beane press conference 8/27: Matt Araiza released
boater replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not browsing all 45 pages of this thread, so my apologies if I repeat others... But that Olean Times Herald/Chuck Pollock piece https://www.oleantimesherald.com/sports/bills/araiza-scandal-reflects-badly-on-bills-hierarchy/article_db4362ab-9942-5f0c-8e6d-58ec4e57a544.html is just a cheap mafioso media hit job. I once really respected Chuck's work. -
Brandon and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Week

The low-information fans, which are most, are saying that. -

With God's guidance.. Brett Kern will end up a Buffalo Bill. And Beane will again be noted as a Wizard. -
On a more serious note: be concerned with the failing Community Benefits Agreement (CBA) negotiations. If they screw that up, the new stadium is dead. And we all know where a dead stadium deal leads. PS: The CBA is disgusting. It's every special interest group under the sun trying to get their slice of the pork.

Yeah. The Browns and Raiders, for example, could be landing spots for him. Maybe Haack was going to be cut no matter what the circumstance was with Araiza. Maybe the Bills thought they could do better than Hack with someone else's 53-roster cut. Haack, does after all, own the legacy of the 10 yard punt. Frankly, I'm shocked Indy signed him. Here the Bills sit with a chance at Tennessee's cut, Brett Kern. It's not all doom and gloom.

I hate to jump in 38 pages in, but Araiza's fate was sealed with: I'm sure his mid-game tweet Friday didn't help his position with management. -
His wife, Rachel Bush (recommend Googling her) said it directly. Poyer's actions, hiring Drew Rosenhaus as his agent, affirm it.
