  1. I shudder to think what I might have done if someone had handed me 10+ million dollars when I was 22.
  2. It all depends on what his off-season goals are.
  3. I think the problem is that Josh Allen is generally ranked much higher in quarterback ratings. Comparing Josh to the bottom of the heap is insulting.
  4. I'm good with OJ being up there in this context. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson enslaved countless human beings, and they both undoubtedly had many of those human beings worked to death. Nonetheless, they made the real Mount Rushmore, which focuses narrowly on their accomplishments as presidents. I think OJ's accomplishments as a Buffalo Bill secure his place on the Bill's Mount Rushmore. Unless, of course we wanted to do an upgrade on our Mount . . . .
  5. Thanks for the thoughtful breakdown -- more than we usually get from mainstream reporting.
  6. Doug Marrone is staying in Jacksonville according to CBS Sports. Jaguars website confirms that Marrone will stay for at least one more year.
  7. Duke Williams. Very close in height and weight, fast and elusive. Plus, he isn't doing anything else right now.
  8. Sports Illustrated MMQB features an article about "Takeaways From the NFL on Thanksgiving." Josh Allen and the Bills are each referenced once in the subhead, but the body of the article makes no mention of any Bills player, and the only reference to the team is one use of the words "the Bills" is in a link to the game stats. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/11/29/nfl-thanksgiving-day-games-bears-lions-bills-cowboys-saints-falcons
  9. Josh is more Jekyll. His true identity is an enormously-talented, hard-working young quarterback and team leader. He definitely has his Hyde moments, but they are the aberration. In fact, he's much better than Jekyll. Jekyll drank his potion with the specific intention of getting his Hyde on. Josh is working very hard to tame is Hyde.
  10. I young man making a foolish decision at the urging of a crowd, and another crowd here mostly crowing about what may be a very serious injury. Both very disturbing and sad.
  11. Our old helmet was too passive. Our current helmet is leading with its head. Maybe an upright buffalo in pass protection mode?
  12. True, but you also have to consider what the O-line is facing. The Patriots understood Josh Allen's weakness and tendencies, and so they brought some heavy blitzing. A quarterback proficient at making quick reads would have been able to exploit this.
  13. CBS Sports ranks Bills at 10 as well. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-3-power-rankings-cowboys-climb-into-the-top-five-steelers-tumble-after-losing-ben-roethlisberger/
  14. Agreed, but they have one of the best defenses in the league. Hard to square that with the fourth worst roster in the NFL.
  15. This is the process. Keep working, even a the margins, looking for ways to improve. Doing something versus doing nothing.
  16. This one's on the coaching staff. Yes, Allen's a rookie, but they should have been working on the triple scramble, 40-yard, cross-body, cross field throw a bit more.
  17. I'm pretty sure that won't work. I lived in Europe, and my game pass account was different from the one I use in the U.S. Also, game pass would recognize if I signed onto my Europe account while in the U.S., and would deny access to live streaming. I'm pretty sure game pass will see it's a U.S. account, and will provide the access granted in the U.S. or deny access all together. On a side note, I found that if I used a VPN and routed my Internet through a European country, I could watch live games on my Europe account while in the U.S. I was surprised the NFL hadn't closed that loophole.
  18. 38% more yards on offense. 78% less points scored. Yes, there are plenty of reasons, but I agree it's striking.
  19. I think rain tends to even out the offenses, so it helps us. Beyond that know our team can create turnovers, starting with our QB . . . .
  20. I doubt his fellow defensive players would question the value an supremely-talented linebacker can bring. (I'm thinking: Luke Kuechly, Von Miller, Ray Lewis, Junior Seau, Cornelius Bennett, LT, among many others).
  21. Who? O. - J. - Simpson!! (In a Howard Cosell voice.) Why? 2003, MVP, and the way he moved. (Plus, it was about 25 years before his trial.)
  22. His words: "I’m here to get better, I’m here to be the best teammate, the best quarterback that I can be. That’s what I’m trying to do.” Sounds to me like he doesn't feel pressure because his goal is to be the best he can be every step of the way rather than trying to make things happen by a certain point in the future when he thinks he should be ready to take the reigns. Kind of a level-headed internalization of "the process." Seems wise to me; hope he can stick with it as things heat up.
