  1. If this team is going to pay a player 16 mill per...I'd hope its a new pass rusher!
  2. Now, If ya wanna know why the Bills didn't get back to a SB since the 90's under owner Ralph Wilson? He came to the simple conclusion that it was damned expensive to build a SB team and maintain it. From star players, coaches, scouts, front office personnel...once a team gets to the big dance...everyone wants to get paid...everyone! The previous owner wasn't a billionaire and he depended on the Buffalo Bills franchise to support his lifestyle. He determined that if you keep the fan base happy with some upgrades in star players while keeping the team on the very edge of winning...it kept the butts in the seats and the team profitable. Look who he had as his de facto GM...the marketing guy. The man did want to win and if it somehow came to pass he would have embraced it! He loved the Buffalo Bills, loved the fans! He kept the team in Buffalo when he could have easily moved to a different city. Man, the 70's were hell on earth for Buffalo fans with not beating the Miami Dolphins for the entire decade on the 70s!!! 10 years man, 10 years with...no...wins...against...Miami...for...the...entire...decade!!! Not to mention the love canal, the stench with yellow air from the steel mills. Snow! Did I mention SNOW!
  3. Recently? Mostly because the team needed to find a QB and develop him while building out the roster. That generally takes 3-4 years. The Buffalo Bills have done that and are in the process of tweaking the roster, better O line, better pass rush, perhaps another top corner. The biggest road block to Buffalo has been a team that has been in the playoffs since 2013, when they hired their current HC Andy Reid. Who is someone who had previously built a SB team with the Eagles. That 2013 KC team went from 2-14 in 2012 to 11-5...and made the playoffs with a QB in Alex Smith. The Bills attempted to acquire Smith before he went to KC. So, KC has been a playoff team since 2013. Meanwhile building and tweaking their roster. It took them seven years to get to a SB and win it in 2019. Buffalo is in year five with McD and basically right on plan.
  4. Kinda like what the Bengals did in not handing off to RB Joe Mixon and instead handed it to Samaje Perine... in his two rushes that game, zero yards. Brian Daboll had his moments in which he looked so genius at times. Yet, fell on his face many, many times too. My take is Josh Allen had a lot to do with him looking so good. Anyway, My take from what we will see with the 2022 Buffalo Bills offense is what we saw the last few games of the 2021 season. More balance, with less QB runs and more RB runs.
  5. Trade him to an NFC team for a cup of coffee.
  6. In my view that KO was irrelevant as I can see not allowing a return. Shades of the MCM. My problem was with that "prevent defense" after the kick as all it did was prevent the win.
  7. It was highly rumored that the Bills were going to draft Najee Harris with their first pick in last years draft. The Steelers beat them to it and got him at #24 and Buffalo didn't pick till #30. I was saying why? The Bills have Motor and Moss. They don't need a RB. Now, I've watched Harris with Pitt this past season and good lord he would have been a great add to the Buffalo offense! That is... provided... of course that the OC actually called more run plays. Then you have to think... do the Bills really want to hand off 300 times? I'm thinking no! Devin Singletary will do the job needed in this offense. Build a better offensive line to protect the QB and do a better job at run blocking. Singletary was 19th in yards before contact. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2021/rushing_advanced.htm Look who was #1, #2, #3.
  8. Fixed! Barkley in 2021, 13 games 162 rushes, 593 yards, averaged 3.7 yards per carry. Stop remembering the guy we saw in 2018-2019. BTW, his teammate Booker had a 4.1 YPC AVG last season. While Barkley was 38th in yards. Motor was 16th... on a pass first team with a 4.6 YPC AVG. Talk about watching something...go back and watch the last few games of the Buffalo Bills last season when the OC actually started using the RB's to... you know, run the ball. Against Atlanta, 23 rushes for 110 yards, 2 rush TDs.
  9. This!! Why, why, why do Bills fans want expensive damaged goods? I'm sure now that the Buffalo Bills have a connection to the NY Giants that some moves will be made. Just not for a guy who can't stay healthy and has lost what made him the #2 overall pick.
  10. This! Then tell those that want to draft a WR or another DT/DE to go back and re-watch that freaking Jacksonville Jaguars game in 2021 week 9. You know, the one that the Bills couldn't throw or run so they just kept throwing. Kept putting the QB under the gun all game with 47 pass attempts for 264 yards, 2 INTs. How about that Falcons game in week 17, Josh Allen 11 of 26 for 120 yards, 3 INTs. Yes, that was our beloved QB that couldn't get it going...luckily, the Bills found god and started running the ball with Singletary, 23 rushes for 110 yards and 2 TDs. Needless to say... that Allen was nearly the teams leading rusher again with 15 attempts for 81 yards, 2 TDs. Build that offensive line! The current Buffalo Bills have how many #1 picks on defense? Tre White, Tre Edmunds, Ed Oliver, Greg Rousseau, Vernon Butler, Jerry Hughes, Star Lotulelei, 7? (AJ Epenesa 2nd)(Carlos Basham 2nd).
  11. On offense just look what happens when Josh targets the hot hand, against KC in that playoff game, Gabe Davis, 8 receptions, 201 yards, 4 TDs. Yea, Gabe Davis! Isaiah Mckenzie against the Patriots, 11 rec for 125, 1 TD. The Bills already have good talent on the roster in skill positions and when you give Josh Allen time to hit those guys...it shows up. While McCaffrey might be a godsend to a bad team...all I see it doing is costing the Bills more than they can afford money wise and takes touches from other players like Diggs, Davis, Knox, others. 2019, 287 rushing attempts, 116 receptions for 2392 total yards, good lord...they burned him out.
  12. What is it with Bills fans wanting these often injured expensive offensive skill players? McCaffery might be worth the money...alas that is money Buffalo doesn't have! First off, I'd rather see Buffalo go after someone like Cards OLB Chandler Jones or screwing NE and going after JC Jackson if Wallace leaves. What we know is that GM Brandon Beane is a wizard at making moves and currently the biggest need for this team is what Beane has already stated...protecting QB Josh Allen. Spend money on that first and see what's left. Buffalo already has a top defense. The last few games of last season we all saw what Josh can do to an opponent when he gets better protection in the pocket. Build that O line into a better than that 90's O line!
  13. I agree. "Scherff played the 2021 season on his second consecutive franchise tag at a value of $18.036 million, bringing his three-year earnings to $45,591,000. He already ranks in the top five among guards in career earnings, and he’s never signed a multi-year veteran contract." "Bottom Line: A healthy Scherff is the best interior offensive lineman scheduled to hit free agency this offseason, but it's difficult to bank on Scherff staying healthy through an entire NFL season." https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-free-agent-rankings-free-agency
  14. R U Serious? I've been a Buffalo Bills fan for so long... waited and watched this franchise for so many seasons under an owner who thought it was more profitable to keep the fans just on the edge of winning...while keeping butts in the seats. Wanna know the reason as to why the franchise hired Chan Gailey? Because Chan told the owner he could win games without star players! He believed him. The Buffalo Bills currently have very wealthy owners and while concerned about the team making a profit...their living isn't dependent upon it. They are determined to field a winning team, win a super bowl. The Buffalo Bills have not only found a franchise QB under a wizard of a GM...they might have found one of the best to ever play the position. Has the NFL ever seen a QB play a perfect playoff game?...he had more TDs then incompletions against the hated division rival New England Patriots! Josh Allen, 21 of 25 for 308 yards, 5 TDs passing, 66 yards rushing. becoming the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for 300 yards, run for 60 yards, and have five touchdowns passes in a playoff game. No Punts... While Stephon Diggs was being doubled against KC in the next playoff game, his teammate WR Gabe Davis did something that NFL great WR Jerry Rice had never done... that was catch an NFL record four touch down passes in a playoff game. No NFL fan on earth wanted to see that Divisional playoff game between Buffalo and Kansas city end...36-42. Buffalo lost a heartbreaker. Only to be bored beyond belief watching the SB between two third place teams. Actually at 10-7, the Bengals were behind Tennessee 12-5, Kansas 12-5, Buffalo 11-6. So, the SB sucked a bit. It is a great time to be an NFL fan and especially a Buffalo Bills fan! Great owners, great GM, HC, great players. You now... might be able to surmise my answer.
  15. Report: Colts likely to trade or release Carson Wentz. "The reason March 18 is significant is that Wentz’s contract calls for his full $22 million base salary to be guaranteed, and for him to receive a $6.29 million roster bonus, if he’s still on the roster on March 18. If Wentz is released before then, the Colts are still on the hook for $15 million of his base salary, but they’d be off the hook for the other $13.29 million." https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-colts-likely-trade-release-183716743.html There is a long list of FA QBs this off season https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/quarterback/ The Bills currently have one on their roster who is better than Wentz. They won't find a trade partner for that bum. The Titans could also be looking for a new QB too. OH, BTW. "The Colts gave up their first-round pick in this year’s draft and a third-round pick last year for Wentz. Obviously they wouldn’t have done that if they had thought Wentz would be one-and-done, but given his disastrous play at the end of the season as the Colts were knocked out of playoff contention, it’s unsurprising that the team has apparently decided to move on."
  16. Joe Burrow managed to do what he did in 2021, 4600 yards passing, 34 TDs while getting sacked 51 times. Heck, the kid was sacked 9x against the Titans in that playoff game and still went 28 for 37 for 348 yards. He had the crap beaten out of him in that SB with a record 7 sacks I think of Burrow right up there with Allen, Herbert, Mahomes as one of the top young QBs in the AFC. I think it might be tougher for Mahomes now with McDaniel's as Raiders HC...hoping anyway.
  17. The Bengals FA pickup of Trey Hendrickson paid off too. The Patriots picking up Matt Judon helped them. Gotta be a top defensive player FA that can make a difference for Buffalo. Wonder if Beane can make a Diggs type trade for someone?
  18. Naa, he was getting his ass handed to him with a SB record 7 sacks. The Bengals fix their line and they are contenders.
  19. The Bills need a game wrecker like Donald... and a better O line with better backups! Gee, wonder if the Bengals will draft for the O line.
  20. Was Daboll calling plays?
  21. Clearly, Trading for Mathew Stafford made a difference for the Rams.
  22. Those FA pickups for big money didn't make the difference. It was feeding Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald doing his thing!
  23. It's raining in Spain!
  24. Some dude plunked 5 million on the Bengals...wonder how he feels now?
