  1. Ramsey getting toasted this game...
  2. A FG will tie it. Can Burrow pull off a Ma'homies
  3. Gee, I wonder who caught it...
  4. At least they are now attempting to get it to Kupp
  5. I know why the Bengals are running it...to keep Burrow alive.
  6. The Bengals defense was ranked 17th in points allowed, 18th in yards allowed. They are playing like a top 5 defense. Or that top ten Rams offense fell off the earth. Where the heck is Cooper...you know, the offensive player
  7. 7 sacks on Burrow now.
  8. What stinks is knowing that the Bills could beat either of these teams.
  9. That Buffalo defense was 15 yards off the LoS, besides the 4 D linemen! AND the entire middle of the field was wide open! The first pass to Hill for 19 yards with Edmunds an Teron Johnson making the tackle. This put them at the Kansas 44 yard line. The second pass when to Travis Kelce over the middle for 25 yards with Levi Wallace making the tackle. Now at the Buffalo 31 for a 49 yard FG. The Bills were in a prevent defense, 7 defenders 15 yards off the LoS, save the D line. The Bengals never went into a prevent, AND never left the entire middle of the field WIDE OPEN. Now, perhaps McD needs to take the blame for that defense. My point is... that everyone will remember it was Leslie Frazier as the Buffalo defensive coordinator. As for Mahomes taking the blame for that loss to the Bengals. The Chiefs won the toss in OT. Mahomes threw deep to Hill and hit him in the hands...it bounced off his hands and was intercepted by Bell. I don't put that on the QB. Hill catches that ball at the Cincy 40 and its a different game.
  10. Everyone touting that #1 Buffalo Bills passing defense...out of 17 games, 9 were against either backups, rookies or scrub QBs. That Buffalo defense lost to two rookie QBs in 2021 in Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence. 552 yards of offense given up to the Chiefs in that playoff game. Loss to the Steelers, loss to the Colts, loss to the Patriots, loss to the Bucs...in OT with a Brady to Perriman 58 yard TD pass. Why, because LB Tremaine Edmunds was covering a WR. That 13 seconds by a Frazier defense...the guy will never live that down. Everyone will remember that disaster of a defense in covering the sidelines...while allowing two of the best receivers in the game, Hill for 19 yards, Kelce for 25 yards. Giving them the whole middle of the field. You don't jam them at the line, don't double them?... even LB Edmunds 15 yards off the LoS, 6 DBs with 2 safeties deep in a prevent? I like Leslie Frazier, just don't much care for his defense sometimes. OTOH, Look at what the Bengals did to stymie Mahomes, Incredible.
  11. Lies, damned lies and statistics! Just looking at the defensive numbers this season and them being ranked #1 overall against the pass you'd think the Bills were a great defense or had a great pass rush. Newp, not even close to being great! The KC playoff game proved that by giving up 552 yards of offense. The Bills beat up on some bad backup scrub QBs 5x and played rookie QBs 3x, along with "stick a fork in him", Cam Newton. Anyway, the two games that stand out to me for the regular season in 2021... as in seared in my memory forever!! Are the week 9 loss to the 2-6 Jacksonville Jaguars with the 30th ranked defense. One of the very worst teams in the NFL the past few years. In 2020, 1-15 and the Jags again get the first pick of the 2022 NFL draft. Buffalo, 14 1/2 point favorites in this game. The Jags held that vaunted high powered 2020-2021 Buffalo Bills offense to just 2 FGs and won 6-9. Josh Allen sacked 4x, 29 pressures, 21 hurries, 8 QB hits. Meanwhile, Buffalo 47 pass attempts vs 9 rush attempts by Bills RBs. Pass game isn't working...just keep throwing. The other game was the humiliating loss to the Colts 15-41. Beaten down by a run first team with a scrub at QB. Carson Wentz 11 of 20 for 106, 1 TD. RB Jonathan Taylor 32 rushes for 185 yards, 4 TDs. Tough to watch the interviews in the Colts locker room after the game...with them laughing about how bad Buffalo was... Bills DC Leslie Frazier asked about keeping the defense in dime coverage. He stated that the Bills should be able to stop the run with the same players by stacking the box. Clearly not! This changed later in the season as the defense did sub in bigger players to stop the run. Since the Tampa bay second half the Buffalo offense found that running the ball with the RBs does wonders for the offense. That, along with Josh Allen forcing his will to win helped Buffalo to a 5 game win steak. Two nearly perfect playoff games by the Buffalo QB...until, he was unfortunately unable to save the team from a disastrous defensive scheme with 13 seconds remaining. The Bills ST's coach seems to have taken the heat from that loss. Yet, that kick itself was irrelevant in my view. I'm thinking the 2022 Bills offense should be similar to what we watched in the last five games. JMHO.
  12. No way this team does anything with Leslie Frazier this offseason considering the political climate of today. Besides, the Buffalo Bills don't have the horses to run that wide 9 scheme atm. JMO Change is due though at some point as far too many screw ups this season with that supposed #1 defense... that gave up 41 points to a run first team with a scrub QB. 32 rushes for 185 yards, 4 TDs for RB Taylor. A team that the crappy 3-14 Jacksonville Jaguars kept from making the playoffs in week 18, and beat them 11-26. The Bills DC on stopping the run while still playing a nickle scheme...If we stack the box that should be enough. It clearly wasn't! And yeah! 552 yards of offense given up to the Chiefs.
  13. I don't hate it...I simply don't watch it.
  14. NO! And, It's not about the kick at all. It's all about the defensive strategy while allowing the best receiver's in the NFL to be wide open while covering the sidelines. Even reading other teams sites as those fans acknowledge it was a complete and utter defensive failure on the Buffalo Bills defensive coaching staff. Buffalo had a 94.3 chance of winning that game at the kickoff. The defense snatched defeat out of the jaws of victory! Buffalo should have had an AFC Championship game in Buffalo in 2022. I'm hoping Brian Daboll needs a DC for his NY Giants team.
  15. Like Denver, in hiring a guy who didn't call the offensive plays in Green Bay, Nathaniel Hackett. This guy didn't call the plays in San Fran. This was his first season as OC as he was the 49ers run game coordinator. He IS a minority HCing hire as his father was black! When you think about that coaching tree with 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan. In 2013 with Washington, Kyle was the OC. Rams HC, Sean McVay was the TE's coach! Green Bay HC, Matt LaFleur was the QB coach. Gonna be interesting!
  16. Just think, Thurman had Barry Sanders on the bench behind him at OSU. Got injured as he tore his ACL... and when he returned...Sanders went back to riding the bench. Thomas fell to Buffalo in the second round, pick 40 because most teams thought he was overworked in College and all used up...also that knee injury. 7 RB's were taken ahead of Thurman in that 88 draft. The one thing Dan Marino never had at Miami was a Thurman Thomas at RB. John Elway didn't win a SB until Terrell Davis.
  17. Really good. However, I'd feel better with the Bills moving on from their current DC. Perhaps it might not be the best move at the moment though. A lot of Bills fans are harping about that kickoff and the 13 seconds that followed. It's the Buffalo defense with the 13 seconds and not covering the two Chiefs only real threats in the passing game...and both caught passes.
  18. Just think, If the Bills keep working the run game like they did the last few games of 2021. Nearly 500 yards of offense against that Patriots #2 defense in that playoff game Buffalo 29 rushes for 174 yards, 2 TDs & Allen 21 of 25 for 308 passing yards 5 TDs. A good power run game to go along with that Buffalo passing game and that Buffalo offense will be unstoppable. I'm really happy that the guy who always wanted to pass the ball...even when it wasn't working is gone. You know, like what happened to Pat Mahomes in that AFC Championship game.
  19. Good point! I think the man just Kaepernick'd himself... He will never have another NFL HCing job again. Shame too, because he was a pretty good NFL HC taking that Dolphins team to a 10-6 record. Sweeping the Patriots is never easy.
  20. Funny stuff... sadly, it might actually happen. Anyway, It was rumored that at times during this season that McD was talking about Daboll in a very similar fashion to the way he talked about Rick Dennison...and he fired him after the season. I also think that at half time of that Tampa bay game when the Bills losing 24-3 and looking very bad on offense. McD read the riot act to Daboll...either that or a well placed boot! To the 5 watt bulb Bills fans that think that McD is going to be on a hot seat anytime soon. 1999 was the last time the Buffalo Bills were in a playoff game previous to Sean McDermott being hired as the Buffalo Bills head coach in 2017! And the man took the Bills to the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor at QB. 😲The Bills leading WR that season was Deonte Thompson.
  21. Good stuff! you had to know that the Bills were not gonna let this guy go to the Giants when their "unicorn" was advocating for him to be their new OC.
  22. Why I've always emphasized the Bills to have a solid run game they can fall back on when the QB is having an off day.
  23. Did Patrick Mahomes have a bad second half....YES! Did the Bengals DC put up a masterclass scheme on how to defeat Mahomes in that second half, YES! Mahomes, 4 sacks, no throwing lanes and the Bengals only pass rushing with three...Mahomes dropped back 24 times after halftime. He completed 8 of 18 passes for 55 yards with two interceptions, four sacks, and no touchdowns. All I was attempting to say in my earlier post was, as a head coach-OC, when you see that the QB (no matter how great he has been in the past) is having that much difficulty throwing...it sorta begs the offense to start running the ball more. Take the ball outta the QB's hands and let the RB's, defense control the game. Especially when they are only rushing with 3 defenders and dropping 8 into pass coverage. By running the ball more you also play keep away from the Bengals and eat up the clock! Oh, btw. That scheme that the Bengals used on Mahomes? You know where they got it from? From Bill Belichick, as he used it against Mahomes in that 2018 AFC Championship game.
  24. This post was more fitting after last season and Josh Allen along with the offense did have problems early in the 2021 season. My take is the bigger problem with the offense is now with the NY Giants. Brian Daboll's failure to build a solid run game for most of the season led to a lot of poor performances against some teams. Anyone else recall that 6-9 loss to the lowly 2-6 Jacksonville Jaguars who had the 30th ranked defense. Josh Allen under pressure all game, 4x sacks on Allen while under duress the entire game. What was the answer from the OC? Just keep throwing, 47 passing attempts vs 9 runs from Buffalo RB's. Yes, the 2021 Buffalo Bills beat up on some bad teams and some with back up QB's, Miami, the Jets, Washington, Houston, NO Saints, Carolina with Cam Newton. However, that cover 2 shell defense was kryptonite to the Bills offense and the Bills OC had no answer. Teams had figured out how to stop, slow down that "one dimensional" Buffalo passing offense. Now, the Bills offense took off in the second half of that Tampa Bay game and didn't look back. Their offensive line play improved. The Bills OC finally decided to give the Bills RBs more than a few carries a game. I suspect that the new Buffalo Bills OC run a more balanced offensive scheme like we saw after that Tampa game. What the Bengals did to Mahomes was rush only 3. drop 8 into coverage. "By naturally clogging throwing lanes with eight in coverage, spying the quarterback, simulating pressure with corner blitzes, and allowing Bell -- and occasionally fellow safety Bates -- to roam free over the middle, Mahomes and the Chiefs were epically perplexed. It was a master class in proper defensive adjustment by coordinator Lou Anarumo, and his players executed fantastically." Let's hope that any new Buffalo OC will understand how to defeat that scheme.
