  1. The Rams were supposed to be the best team in the NFL on paper and the Raiders the very worst because they traded away a future HoF DE. Right now the Raiders look to be the better team...and yet they are supposedly rebuilding.
  2. For me, it's the offensive coaches, line/run game coordinator, OC. I know it was a miserable day with heavy rains and the players should have played better. Still, that offense looked putrid in both the run game and passing game. That pass first, quick strike offense was about as useless as was Peterman. For a team that was the number one rush team in the past, I was hoping to see a much more dominant run game with getting Shady in space.
  3. ? But, but the line, C, LG, RG, RT. If the Bills can't land Bosa they need to trade back for more picks and if they get the first overall pick that could be a gold mine of picks
  4. If Beane is worth a damn he should get the O line built in one offseason, plus better WRs. McD did find a new decent LT in his first draft. The thing is if you want superior talent on that line you need to spend first, second and third rounders on them. One WR that is 6'5' and can run a 4.5 40 should open up the passing game. Just gotta keep McD from drafting all defense
  5. They sure look pretty bad by that score and their new HC looks like a deer in headlights. I don't think the Jets are as good as they look against the lousy Lions. Oh, https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2019-nfl-mock-draft-raiders-take-ed-oliver-with-pick-acquired-in-khalil-mack-trade/
  6. The Jets are playing the loins who have a new HC that looks like a deer in headlights. We will probably be fighting them for the #1 overall pick next year. The Dolphins and Jets still play the Patriots 2x like we do. After this game, the Jets play the Dolphins, Browns, and Jags. Let's talk again then.
  7. No other team got beaten 47-3 so the Bills have the lead...if that make anyone happy.
  8. Bills fans need to take some Xanax, it's ONE game! I think this HC doesn't take any crap from anyone and I think some butts will be kicked over this loss. I predicted this year this team could go 0-8 like the 2010 team and all the optimists said the line would be fine and the defense even better than last year. So what if they do...
  9. R-E-L-A-X guys. Most realists looked at this team this year and knew it was going to be a tough road. What we didn't expect was a performance like we saw against the Ravens. The team came out flat and got hammered pretty quickly. We learned that Nate Peterman is not now, nor never will be the answer at QB for this team. We also learned that Brian Daboll's quick strike, a pass-first offense isn't going to work with these players. Kinda like Dick Jauron wanting a no-huddle offense and cutting his OC two weeks before the opener and his starting RT because he couldn't get to the line fast enough... then after two weeks that no-huddle was scrapped.
  10. Sounds like a good signing. Is Dez next?
  11. Gotta love his first pass was a pick 6
  12. Who cares, unless it's Terry or Kim they don't much matter. McD, Beane jobs are in their own hands now going forward. Beane better bring in some decent help and McD had better kick some butts on his coaching staff.
  13. The Bills gave up quite a bit to move up to draft Josh Allen and I'd rather see the bumpkin Peterman get his arse handed to him over Allen getting injured or worse hammered, concussed. It's only for two more games and after the Chargers, Vikings then let Josh Allen start IMO. Anyone else feel this is like Doug Whaley all over again with no real veteran QB on the roster to help these young QBs. Along with one of the worst offensive lines in the league. At least EJ had Cordy Glenn and Eric Woods on the line.
  14. I got the impression that if given time in the pocket that Peterman would do okay, man o man was I wrong. The rain, the lack of separation by the WRs, the inability to run the ball and the lack of attempts. The O line constant penalties. The defense not stopping Flacco. The lack of a backup game plan when that quick strike, the pass-first offense fell on its face. The players stunk (save a few) the game plans stunk, the coaching stunk. Nate Peterman gave probably the very worst performance by a Buffalo Bills QB I've ever seen... 5 of 18 for 24 yards, 2 INTs, 3 sacks, a completion percentage of 27.8 with a QBR of 0.0. This was for more than a half of football.
  15. The kid has got an Aaron Rodgers like arm and like Rodgers could best use some time on the bench to develop. Some of the throws he makes not many QBs can make. The game actually got exciting once Allen started playing and it would have been even better had some of his receivers been able to catch more balls.
  16. Look, I know you didn't like Josh Allen before the draft and still are attempting to discredit him. Let it go as he was the least of the teams worries against the Ravens as the Bills players actually rallied around him from what I heard. It's not MIDSEASON...it's the first game and it shouldn't take that long for any player to do better than some of those linemen like Vlad the horrible.
  17. In 2010 the Bills started the season 0-8 with Fitz running for his life every game. Buddy Nix brought in RT Erik Pears, RG Kraig Urbik to keep from going 0-16. Time for Beane to bring in some help.
  18. Oh, yea lets knock the kid who came in and looked halfway decent and not the WR's who couldn't get separation or catch the ball most of the time. Or the O line players that when something good did happen on offense they usually got a penalty to kill it. Or Bills DBs that can't cover. Josh Allen was the very least of the problems...
  19. Beane should be on the phone to Paxton Lynch, Matt Moore and looking for a left guard that can actually block without penalties. Not to mention a WR who can get separation AND CATCH THE DARN BALL!
  20. If McD starts Peterman again it's only to protect his rookie from getting lambasted behind a bad, bad O line
  21. If McD hands to keys to the car to Allen he would be giving him a broken down Volkswagon bus, not a Z L1 Corvette. Patrick Mahomes has a ZL1 Corvette.
  22. This is exactly it and now McD is probably wondering if he can trust his coaches to do their jobs. Frazier and Daboll stunk it up big time. Have they been taking lessons from Rex Ryan?
  23. McD did say he would look at every position and look at himself to see who is doing their job. Are his coaches putting the players in position to succeed and are they doing their jobs. I honestly don't know what he was supposed to say to appease everyone. Clearly, he can't be happy with anyone's performance save Edmunds, Allen, Murphy and perhaps a few others. The game got out of hand early and it was obvious Peterman wasn't leading a comeback after that second interception. It was a team loss and not many played well at all, penalties, players couldn't catch balls thrown right to them, couldn't block, couldn't tackle. The entire concept of the offensive game plan was ineffective and the defense couldn't stop or get to Flacco. McD isn't the type of coach who is going to melt down/blow up like Denny Green, Herm Edwards or Jim Mora. The guy is probably thinking to himself WTF happened out there to my offense, defense, special teams. When it rains, it pours. Looking at how poorly the offensive supporting cast played with the receivers not getting open and when they do get the ball to them they drop it. The line actually pass blocked better then they run blocked but with the penalties, they kept shooting themselves in the foot. I don't know if I'd want to start Josh Allen start with that mess of misfits and see him get injured. I'd almost rather throw Peterman to the wolves again for a few weeks.
  24. I don't think it's as much doom and gloom as you portray. Granted the team won games last year on a formula that is difficult to duplicate in that Tyrod Taylor only threw 4 INTs all year as he was so careful with the ball. The Bills defense was also so very opportunistic with the turnovers so they got lucky in more ways than just turnovers too. This year can be a winning season for Buffalo as they still have a decent amount of talent on the team with McCoy and Murphy at RB. So the Bills NEED to build a run game each week to help take pressure off the QB and the defense. Running the ball will help control the clock and keep the defense off the field and fresh. this last game it was like the Bills didn't even attempt many runs. That pass-first offense with Peterman against the Ravens didn't even have a first down the entire first half and the team ended with 10 first downs, 5 from Allen, 3 from rushing. Shoot, Peterman went 5 of 18 for 24 yards a 1.3 average, 2 INTs, 3 sacks. A QB rating of .7 which I didn't think was possible. It wasn't that the Ravens defense was so dominating as Peterman had time to throw many times. He just stunk it up with the help of penalties from the line and WRs not getting separation or getting open. Beane/McD need to find a WR to stretch the field, get separation and a freaking Left guard who can actually block without getting a penalty! All is not lost, not yet anyway.
