We have talked about the contributary factors surrounding the Right/Wrong Josh debate before. I'm sure that anyone unaware could work it out but I'll skip over them because of Scott's mandate posted recently. Safe to say though that the debate wasn't always 100% based on on-field performance. I do wonder if Josh is held to a higher standard not simply because of who he is or who he plays for but also about who was selected the year prior with the pick the Bills traded out of. Rightly or wrongly, Mahomes and Allen will be intrinsically linked, if only for the sake of playing What If? I should know, I played that game frequently I don't blame anyone for backing Josh to the hilt, nor do I blame them for feeling optimistic considering the standard of play we've seen so far this year. After all the barren years, we should all enjoy the success that seems to be on its way. However, I'm going to draw a line at borderline character assassination in the pursuit of said pound of flesh.

I can understand that. There's undoubtedly going to be ringleaders that perceive their own words to be gospel. Speaking from personal experience, I've been guilty of that too. When you actually take the time to develop a system for evaluating these kids (admittedly, in a vacuum), it can be difficult not to get a little pig-headed and defensive about it. If those people don't change as the evidence does, they're not worth your time. Bias happens consciously or subconsciously, confirmation bias can be a B word. I won't root for failure from what appears to be a really likeable guy just to satiate my own ego.

I'll never understand this absolute obsession with getting a pound of flesh. I didn't like Josh as a prospect. What do you want to do; fly me over the Atlantic and publically flog me outside of the stadium? The amount of hatred for being 'wrong' is not commensurate to the praise when you're right.

I adore Ryan and love fun. This vote was a no-brainer. I actually nearly made this thread myself earlier but I wasn't ready for people hating my guts.

Here's a question. If Ryan Fitzpatrick had entrance music, what would it be?

I had Jackson firmly as a Day 3 guy because of what I think is an uphill struggle to succeed. That being said, I have a massive amount of respect for the guy because of the actions he took that have ultimately hampered his development. For those that don't know the story, read this. I'm intrigued to see how he progresses. I think we'll probably start to see the best of him around Year 3 after a couple of seasons in a full NFL training regimen. I'm not overly optimistic about his chances (as noted above) but I'm rooting for the guy.

I second the recommendation, Brandon is my go-to guy on OL analysis. His recent thread on Jedrick Wills was superb.
