I'm not convinced Trubisky is out of here after one year. I'd think the only reason for Trubisky to leave is for a chance at a starting job and better money. Probably not getting much better money without the starting position. So, how many NFL teams would consider Trubisky an upgrade from current QB and have a starting job available? Maybe 4 or 5? If that. I don't know. Of those few teams needing a starting QB, at least a couple of them will probably take a QB in round 1 of the draft. And Trubisky would have to decide if an offer is truly a better situation. Good organization with chance to be in playoffs? Good coaching staff? Or are they at the beginning of a rebuild or a team in constant chaos? If there are limited options that don't have great appeal, Trubisky may decide Buffalo is still his best bet.

When I was in my 20's, I thought Stern was funny and edgy. Turns out I was just young and immature and easily tickled by the sophomoric humor. The 'shock' of the shock jock era is over, and now it's just an old guy acting like the annoying 8th grade class clown. I heard that Don Imus was great. Listened a couple times to see what that was all about. Never found anything to like about his show and can't understand the mass appeal.

Have to admit, watching this and seeing the list of failed QBs since Kelly, then hearing the commentator for ESPN declare, "Josh Allen is the new quarterback of the Buffalo Bills" - got a little lump in my throat. It's like having an endless string of mismatched blind dates for umpteen years when all off a sudden, you spot that special person you've been searching for and instinctively know, she's/he's the one! So thankful it wasn't Josh Rosen. That would have been a typical choice of the last several Bills' regimes, going back to Tom Donahoe. Talk about dodging a bullet.

Maybe at the entrance gates just hand out little beach shovels to each attendee to clear out their own area on Sunday afternoon. Also, a little plastic beach pail. Attendees can put the snow in the pail, put full beer can in the snow that’s packed in the pail. Voila! Cleared out seating, Cold beer, melting snow, collectible souvenirs!

Summary: Regulars burned out from weather conditions that have soured tailgating experience and made in-stadium 3+ hrs of misery. The friends, wives, kids who were glad to accompany ticket holders early on are over it. So, ticket holders not wanting to go solo are competing against each other to sell. Changing to the 4:25 kickoff with little warning has got to be pissing off a lot of ticket holders, especially those with flight arrangements or who drive a few hundred miles. If you have to drive home to Albany, you risk icy road conditions in the dark and not getting home before 1am, compounded by the fatigue of a long day in cold and damp. On the other side, the option is: 70” high definition TV, cozy fire blazing, dog curled around your feet, aroma of pot roast in the slow cooker? Cheese & crackers and other snacks at arm’s length. Yeah, that beats dealing with 33 degree (and falling) wind and rain from noon until 8pm. In my decades of following the Bills, I can’t remember a season with so many foul weather games.

Agree. We can never know how it would have transpired. But using the hypothetical, if everything went the same way in subsequent matchups...... that's why I said "it's possible" it may have gone that way. My point was that in a season in which there are only 17 regular season games, there's so much less room for error than say, hockey, basketball, or especially baseball.

I’ve had a similar thought, believing they might have more success when not fighting the elements. But the caveat is only if they’re up against a team with a power running game that the defense can’t stop consistently. I’d have more confidence in the Bills offense in mild to no weather conditions. I’d rather see the run-first opposing team have to play catch-up with their passing game. That said, would still rather have the comfort of their home field and no travel.

Isn’t the first time since (1996?) since the previous years’ 4 finalists are in the playoffs? Thought # 2: a game of inches. If Josh doesn’t lose his footing in final 4th down attempt in Tennessee, it’s very possible the Bills could’ve been sitting in the top spot in the AFC with final game at home with Jets. Would’ve could’ve should’ve.

I believe genetics is a huge component of how an individual is affected by covid. My sister-in-law had 2 nieces and a nephew, siblings all in their 30’s. All were hospitalized. What are the odds of 3 covid victims all being sick enough to require hospitalization? Genetics was the common thread. The girls died 10 days apart. The brother survived. The same virus that can lead to death for some, has practically zero effect on others.

I've been saying this for 3 years. He's doesn't have the temperament to be an effective defender. He looks scared to put his shoulder down and attack. When a ball carrier is being pursued by another defender, instead of running with a full head of steam to assist and maybe jar the ball loose, Edmunds looks like he's taking a Sunday morning jog, often getting there to pile on when the play is all but over. His nick-name should be Johnny-Come-Lately. Edmunds lacks tenacity. If you want to accurately evaluate his progress over 4 years, simply answer the question of what you believe his trade value be in the pre-draft market. As a college player with no NFL experience he was the 16th overall pick. Now, with 4 years in the NFL and at only 23 years old, would any team offer a 1st for Edmunds? If I'm Beane, I'd jump all over that trade.

I can't remember a season with so many foul weather games that were played in high winds, torrential rain, cold or a combination of those. All that's left is a blizzard.

On the plus side- I’ll have more free space on my DVR when I delete this unwatchable hot mess of a game. The o-line is only average with its starters active. With reserves in starting roles and others out of position, this is a predictable disaster.

Yes. Barely, but he definitely farted or something to make him flinch. What’s so amazing is how the linesman caught that minor flinch, but completely missed blatant movement by jags o-line numerous times

Living in Atlanta and having been to the Georgia Dome for games, I've always hated the circus tent feel of indoor football. Football under blue sky is my preference. That said, as I get older (as many longtime fans are at or nearing their golden years), I like the idea of comfort in a climate controlled stadium. The ideal venue for me would be something similar to the Vikings home, where the spectators are protected from the elements, but it's built to allow lots of natural light from above and at the ends. I believe the home field advantage/bad weather argument is overrated. Both teams have the same conditions. Even southern or dome teams have players who've played in cold. Seems to me it's usually the younger crowd who want the open-air option, but they have greater tolerance for extreme conditions. An enclosed stadium would be desirable to for a larger portion of potential attendees. Unfortunately, I don't see it happening - they'll probably have an open-air stadium with heated seats and heated areas that cater to old farts like my crowd.

Actually, the Miles Davis quote is: ‘it’s not about the notes you play; it’s the notes you don’t play”. One of my favorites. I’d rather hear BB King’s limited repertoire of 5 licks played to perfection than the 14-year-old ‘virtuoso’ at Guitar Center who can shred a mile a minute but has no soul.

Is that right? I thought NFL restrictions had all internet feeds cut off for all NFL radio broadcasts.

Is there a way for out of area listeners to hear the WGR55 broadcast of Bills games? (apart from having a friend or relative hold their phone to the radio speaker). I know you can pick it up with the Bills app, but it's limited to the local audience. I'm in the Atlanta area, so that's not an option for me. Does XM/Sirius use feeds from WGR?

I suspect one of the reasons for keeping Kumerow on the roster (aside from being really well-liked by teammates), is they can set up with 21 personnel; Gilliam and Moss/Singletary in the backfield, Knox on the line, and use Kumerow's size as either a receiving threat and/or extra blocker if a run to one of the backs called. That gives Josh a lot of options when he comes up to the line and sees how their D is set up. Part of the Patriots success through the years has been great blocking from their wideouts. McKenzie and Beasley's size limits their effectiveness against bigger and stronger defenders. When you see the Bills in 21 personnel with Kumerow, watch Josh scan the D-line, and if he sees a formation that he believes can be exploited, listen for the "alert - alert" audible signal. Options. Match-ups. That's how you keep the ball moving.

No. He's just another commentator adding his 2 cents. I don't care one way or the other about him or any other paid talking head. Not sure why many of you get so hung up on the people who fill the void on the radio and TV airwaves. It is what it is. Occasionally, Collinsworth et al add insights from their playing days, production meeting interviews. or other experiences. Occasionally they say things that seem way off base. So what!?! As long as I can see the game, their talking is mostly just white noise to my ears. Life's too short to get that blistered over Collinsworth, Mowins, Glab, Wilcots, etc. Turn of the sound off and chat it up with your buddies instead if it's that annoying. Not too concerned about the broadcast teams. I'm just glad it's football season and our guys are kicking a$s. Don't worry. Be happy.

Yes. Last year both my dad and my best friend lost to cancer. My mom and dad took us to several games in late 60's at the Rockpile, going directly to the games from church, still wearing our white button-down shirts and polished Buster Browns. Our seats were 4 rows from the field. Those experiences were field-of-dream memories passed from father to son in which the love of Bills football was manifested and still lives on. The friend is someone I knew vaguely through other friends, but we got to talking at a parents-out-of-town house party about 40 years ago, and bonded over our affinity for the Bills. We became best of friends. I was his best man when he got married. He was the reason I ended up in Atlanta in the mid-80's. In 1986. we drove from Atlanta to Buffalo for the season opener against the Jets - Kelly's first game. Stayed all week and left the following Sunday morning to catch the game that was halfway home in Cincinnati, Kelly's second ever game. He was back in NY for last several years where his wife had gotten a job. I spoke to him hours before he passed last Christmas. He was weak and could hardly speak, but we always ended with an 'I love you' and the last words he struggled to say to me before hanging up were 'go Bills'. Good original topic.
