  1. Only way TT gets traded is if it's a crazy offer which no one will give. TT wants to be the guy? Then prove you can be the guy, not the guy whose good because everyone else makes him better. As I heard before, if the QB is out playing his contract then you'll have a winning team, if not you're paying a lot of money for a guy who needs others to make him better and vice versa. He's getting this year to prove he can anticipate where the ball goes and not wait for the guy to get open, and prove he can use the entire field. He does that, then give him the contract because we finally got ourselves a QB. He doesn't, don't pay him or you'll be saddled with mediocre QB play and a terrible cap situation
  2. Wow, I can't believe how many people are saying we are tanking because we traded our best player who coincidentally hasn't played in 2 years.
  3. How much impact did Sammy have in our last two years that you say we're tanking now that he's not on the team? Also, once they passed on picking up his 5th year option that should've been a red flag to wait on buying that Watkins jersey.
  4. Watkins could become JJ and have no more injury issues and it doesn't mean the trade is a joke. SD traded with Atlanta many years ago, Atlanta got Michael Vick and SD got Ladanian Tomlinson among other things. The trade worked out well for both teams. The Falcons and Dallas aren't contenders because they have great WR's, they both haven't had a game of musical chairs going on at QB like we have. Let's see what happens with the 2018 draft before calling this trade a joke.
  5. I'm a Watkins fan but to say we are tanking is a big stretch. Sammy hasn't been Sammy for 2 years and we didn't lose games last year because of our offense, our offense scored points without Sammy. It was the defense that was a mess. Offensively at worst we have = WR talent to what was on the field last year. From the moment McDermott got here Darby has been considered a poor fit for zone coverage and it doesn't seem like people are stressed over losing him, if anything I think that deal was very one sided to our side. If TT stays healthy and our front 4 dominates I think 8-8 is a strong possibility. And if we pull that off, .500 with an arsenal of picks heading into the draft will wipe away the sting I've felt over losing Aaron, Gillislee, and Sammy this year
  6. We did what the Jets are trying to do without going full tank mode. Yes the Bills have the option of moving up in the draft to get a qb OR they can make moves and acquire talent + picks for 2019 draft. The Pats did this very well for years and the Browns really improved on that system..... the Pats used to do a great job drafting, very hit and miss lately and the Browns are a wait and see how it all plays out but even with how bad their QB's are, I don't see them sucking this year.
  7. Im all about trading up with a bounty to get a top guy and have him sit a year.
  8. I love the Bills. I've suffered the SB losses, the MCM, and the drought. But this post is something else, that's some scary level of obsession. I'm guessing you've got at least one restrain order on you.
  9. I think they were necessary cuts because we were over the allowed roster spots for TC
  10. The Vikings gave up a first for Sam Bradford. If that's offer d in desperation by someone then it gets interesting.
  11. If TT gets hurt. He wasn't the reason we lost games last year, he wasnt great, but he made plays when he needed to and he didn't make mistakes that cost us the game. If he repeats or improves from last year I seriously doubt a rookie beats him out. And I don't consider myself a TT supporter. Just being realistic.
  12. I'm not sold either but winning will change everything. Some fans see all this change and seem to love it because of you change 17 years of a losing culture then that may equate to wins but that's not certain. He could be Chip Kelly'ing this franchise for all we know. But, if he wins then he's brilliant.
  13. I guess it depends on what extremes constitute good character. Talented choir boys give you a tiny pool go pick from. We've gone down this road before can't remember which HC is was that wanted a team of good character guys that played hard and we had little talent on those teams. I want to say GW but that seems contradicting. Maybe someone else remembers.
  14. What a dumb move. Yes Sammy needs to prove he can stay healthy TO JUSTIFY A LONG TERM CONTRACT not for us to decide to keep him one more year. Dumb dumb dumb. People keep loving McDermott but IDk I'm still not sold. I truly hope I'm wrong but right now he seems like a cocky rookie acting like he's the smartest guy in the room and we're all buying into it because it's different. I hope I'm wrong but for now I'm just not feeling it.
  15. Way the board keeps falling. Hope we have our pick at OT
  16. Lmao I wouldn't smash a bottle on my head over a draft pick but I'd be WTF over a RB selection in the 1st round
  17. If there was ever a year to draft a QB in the 1st round it would be this year. 1st year HC won't be getting fired this year if the team misses the playoffs We have Tyrod Taylor for 2 years and a case can be made that he's better than half the QB's in this league. Draft the most coachable prospect and leave him on the bench for two years. We aren't beating the patriots to win the east this year, if anything they look like they are going after 19-0 with their uncharacteristic offseason spending spree. If we suck next year we get a high pick and have one year with our potential QB of the future on the roster.
  18. McDermott's "for now" comment regarding Tyrod makes me think they are in the QB market early and considering the signing of Hyde and Tolbert and the push to bring back Lorax and Kyle because of their intangibles. I'm thinking they go with Watson. He brings those same intangibles as Cam did coming out.
  19. IMO this team just needs to go back to a simpler attack defense because there is talent especially in th DL. And all we need on offense is a QB. There's a lot of veteran talent on this team that's ready to win now. I know I'm in the minority with this idea but I would offer up to our first round pick to Dallas for Romo and keep running the ball the way we do and use him like Trent Dilfer was used in Baltimore. If we get 3 years out of Romo it was worth it. A corner, safety or WR won't benefit us the same way a veteran QB would
  20. I won't go with injuries as the disappointments. Surprise I'll go with Lorax but a close second is Z Brown. Disappointment for me is easily hands down Gilmore with no close second, that's how disappointing his play has been. If you want to be the highest paid corner in the league, you can't be giving up that many bad plays.
  21. O'Leary > Reggie I would prefer we run more 2 TE sets than trying to get Reggie on the field as a WR. Hopefully this is all a smokescreen or for just a couple plays.
  22. We've been using Spikes to set the edge more and more, my guess would be that he's affected more by Shaq's return than Lorax
