Public Financing of Stadiums
Sandy McFiddish replied to IronyAbounds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is definitely unfair to put the onus on the taxpayers to pay for stadiums. Typical big business here in the US, Approximately 30% of our federal taxes get handed to big businesses so they dont have to pay the taxes and for a "chance" to create new jobs. That is why rich business owners get richer every year and 1 out of 6 people are starving in this country. It is why Ralph Wilson refused to transfer team over into his wife's name, so she did not have to pay the taxes on it. -
Tyrod: Sammy has "matured"....has a "new mindset"

I remember hearing the same thing as well -

I really wanted OJ Howard but at the same time I am not sure that would have been my favorite pick if we stayed at 10. Really was hoping Cory Davis or Williams was still there. -
Mr Sunshine Sully Sullivan at it again

I refused to read the article but that comment Rex made to him was on of my favorite Rex one liners, those I will miss. -
Not sure Darby actually fits this system?
Sandy McFiddish replied to ajmac's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Darby is a professional football player and the onus is on him to be able to change at anytime. He has a great burst on the ball usually so I do think he can still cut it. -
NFL.com - Beane Preaches Open Competition at QB
Sandy McFiddish replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone should always be in competition at each position every day. Someone is always gunning for your starting job, although I do forsee TT winning the job still and feel he deserves another year. -
Mild expectations, not expecting but seriously hoping for playoffs Or us being Bills fans and we have had our hopes crushed so many times.

Should the Bills trade Tyrod?
Sandy McFiddish replied to LeGOATski's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our OC wanted him in Denver 2 years ago, when we won the bidding war for him then. I think he will thrive more under the new system. He definitely deserves more time to prove himself, heck it took Rich Gannon 10 years to start lighting up the league. That being said he needs to throw more accurate and actually start hitting back shoulder throws to thrive, even with his legs. I hope he succeeds and I want to love him. Then there's the part of me that has watched Bills football since '76 and remember saying the same about JP Losman and EJ. -
Although HIPPA would apply I feel there is no way the Drs would not relay any info to the Bills, assuming they didnt tell Cyrus if he wants to play again he better sign a release in their name. I worked in a HIPPA compliant counselling facility for about 3 years and saw HIPPA broken all day every day, even by counselors. Of course it is a moot point as they are in communication now and this was last month.

I definitely want to win and a Qb but cannot trade all your picks for a possible franchise Qb, this os football and not hockey. 2016 NHL draft I would have been willing to trade our #8 and both our 2nd rround picks and up to all 5 of our 3rd round picks to move up for Austin Matthews. That is definitely a compliment to him and nothing against Nylander at all. Or even Cliff Pu for that matter. I just feel Matthews is that special and would love to see him with soon to be Captain Jack. With football, or any other sport for that matter as Michael Jordan was the 4th best player on his college team, it does not just come down to learning to play more defensive and pro workout and nutrition. Even with all that said next year I will sort of contradict myself as I truly feel Darnold is going to light this league up spectacularly.

Bills Decline 5th Year Option on Sammy Watkins
Sandy McFiddish replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saw him at the Pizza Plant downtown, my bro in law runs the kitchen and didnt let the staff talk to him while in there so he could have his privacy. Sammy looked over at us at one point and we both just smiled and gave him a thumbs up, and made him smile. He had a $7 bill and he tipped his waitress $20 so no Shady type story here lol, he always seemed so genuinely nice and is so hard working I really hope he puts up huge numbers this year. I have a feeling he puts up 1,400 yards and 10 TD's this year, I hope at least. -
He will get extended for sure with a breakout season, I think he will put up 1400 yards and 10 TD's this year. Hope I am right. Julio Jones got past the same foot injury and put up similiar numbers his first 3 seasons, and that is with Matt Ryan consistantly throwing to him. I know Sammy is not Julio but just saying.

Getting Sam Darnold would feel like it did when we drafted Jim Kelly, well without the blowing us off for the USFL part lol.

The impact of Shady's contract?
Sandy McFiddish replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Was high enough that New England knew there was no way we could afford to pay $4 mil for MG to be the backup. -

Reuben Foster Failed Drug Test at Combine
Sandy McFiddish replied to PolishDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They know this test months in advance, how can you not quit smoking pot for a month or 2 in advance, it is not coke or heroin. Some team will still draft him by at least round 3. I am starting to think this is Randy Gregory 2.0 potential here. We already have Marcel missing tons of games over it. I truly feel they should have restructured his contract this year, he was way over paid to miss half the season over getting in trouble and not bothering to keep in shape for his suspension. -
Draft the Person first, not the player!
Sandy McFiddish replied to CEN-CAL17's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It always seems to me the focus on drafting players shifts more towards their combine numbers and how fast they are, I want the person that lights it up on the field and brings it everyh play, every day.
