  1. Wow, he basically didn't run right at all.
  2. Possibly on the first 2, but McCoy is the only RB we have under contract for 2018 and Lawson's still on his rookie deal.
  3. Spotrac estimates ~$9.75M AAV
  4. And more to your point, Mayfield's draft status is far more dependent on his measurables than his current character flaws imo. If he measures under 6' with ~9" hands he's probably not going as high as he'd like.
  5. You do realize that the people making decisions now are different than the people making decisions then, right? And that maybe they have different priorities? And maybe the comments about character pertain specifically to our current FO?
  6. Yeah, it was an attempt to re-rail (that's probably not a thing, huh?). It was certainly Flacco's best year since he got paid.
  7. Let's start with this: Post something you do like about Tyrod. If I had to guess it'll either be a backhanded compliment or it'll be the first time I've seen you actually do it.
  8. Unfortunately, as demonstrated in LA, there is more to replacing Taylor than just replacing Taylor. His unorthodox skillset has been masking several deficiencies on offense (like pass protection).
  9. Still not sure what the 2014 Ravens has to do with Rico, Rico's Offense, or Rico's Playcalling. He was the QB coach there and had none of those responsibilities. He was responsible for preparing Flacco and Tyrod, though.
  10. Oddly enough, we have 0 ILBs on contract for 2018. The smart move going forward might've been to keep Ragland around unless they really want to re-sign Preston.
  11. I'll try to keep this as brief as possible, and we can start up an offseason plan thread later. Looking ahead to 2018, we have: 33 players signed for $146,856,652 Dead Cap hits of $18,681,120 and $33,424,561 of estimated Cap Space Of the 33 players we have under contract 1 is Tyrod, cutting him saves just under $10M on the cap but leaves us with just Peterman on the roster 9 O Linemen - 4 OT's (Glenn, Dawkins, Mills, McDermott) - 4 G's (Incognito, Groy, Ducasse, Miller) - 1 C (Wood) 3 WR (KB, Zay, Holmes) 1 RB (McCoy) 1 CB (White) 2 S (Hyde & Poyer) 0 ILB 1 DT (Washington) We're currently lined up for 8 draft picks in the first 5 rounds --> adjust players signed to 41, and cap room to ~$28,000,000 FA's of interest (to me anyway) Yarbrough (DE), Elston (S), O'Leary (TE), KW (DT), Tate (KR/PR), Humber (OLB), Johnson (CB), Cadet (RB), Thompson (WR), PBrown (ILB), Coleman (DT), Gaines (CB), Matthews (WR) All of that is to say, we have quite a few holes in the roster heading into '18, and one of the areas we actually have buttoned up (contract-wise) is the OL. Cutting/Drafting OL means more work elsewhere filling holes.
  12. The more we win the more I'm convinced to sell the farm for a young QB because the roster is close. If we aren't close then I'm more into using our draft picks where they fall and bringing in FA help at QB.
  13. Generally speaking a pick next year is worth 1 less round than this year, and the middle of the round. So a 2019 1st would be valued around pick 48 in the 2018 draft.
  14. Did you not read the title of the topic you're in?
  15. He was calling the plays, sometimes.
  16. Are you essentially thinking the Rams/Titans trade moving from 15 to 1? I'm not against that, I just think it's a slower path to success (not that that's a bad thing necessarily).
  17. No, it's based on Dennison's perception of Kubiak's offense. It may be a subtle difference, but it certainly is a difference. Also, is now a good time to point out that Kubiak was a QB and Dennison was a LB? No really, look back at those Broncos teams. Mike Shanahan was the OC, Gary Kubiak was a QB, and Rick Dennison was an ILB.
  18. We have some weapons in their prime, and if we don't need to trade up we have 5 picks in the 1st 3 rounds to alleviate any of his concerns personnel-wise. We have the cap room moving forward to give him a sizable contract. I feel like whether the OC is Dennison, Jackson (my ideal choice), or someone else, having a Cousins in place with Shady, KB, Clay, etc. makes the destination enticing. He's originally from Michigan, so he'd be used to the climate and closer to home. I certainly don't expect it to happen, but we have the resources to make a pretty convincing sell, imo.
  19. In my scenario with Cousins we bide our time and take a guy like Clayton Thorson on day 2
  20. Depends how much he wants
  21. The way their Defense is playing I see them going after Alex Smith and drafting someone that falls to them.
  22. If we can take care of business and beat the Colts & sweep Miami then we need one of the following to happen Titans lose one of their west coast road trips (@Cardinals or @ 49ers), Lose to the Rams, and Lose to the Jaguars OR Ravens Lose to Detroit, @Pittsburgh, and Cincy OR both.
  23. There are definitely scenarios, realistic ones even, that get the Bills in at 9-7 (Beat Colts & Miami twice).
  24. I thought the NFL did away with these types of ads...
