Peterman was historically bad on Sunday
BuffaloHokie13 replied to LA Grant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So you're thinking he needs to transfer now? Interesting take The one drive we did commit to the run we had a 2 play TD drive... -
Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
BuffaloHokie13 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No, you said he wouldn't have fared any better. But feel free to backtrack, I can understand after such a ridiculous claim. There is nearly 0 chance that the halftime score is 37-7 with Tyrod in that game. The Chargers drives in the first half started at: BUF 31 thanks to an INT (Missed FG) LAC 25 thanks to a 2 run TD drive from Shady (FG) BUF 46 thanks to an INT (TD) BUF 15 thanks to an INT (TD) LAC 24 because we finally got through 3 plays and punted (FG) LAC 43 after another 3 & Out (TD) LAC 46 thanks to another INT (FG) Then also tack on the pick-6 for 7 more points. And it's worth pointing out, due to how short our drives were the Chargers had 7 possessions that half and we received the opening kick. 6 of our 8 possessions were 3 plays or less, and the 2 that were more than 3 plays both ended in INTs. Did you notice, by the way, that every time the Chargers had to go more than 60 yards their drive stalled and they kicked a FG instead of scoring a TD? Do yourself a favor and quit while you're behind. -

Say what? The most INTs Tyrod has thrown in a season is 6, and you think there's no proof he wouldn't have thrown 5 in the first half of a single game? -

From my understanding they pretty much copied a bunch of the route combinations and play designs he was used to from Clemson last year so that he would be more comfortable in knowing where to expect his receivers to be at any given time. They also incorporated a decent amount of QB movement and draws. If you watch a few more games of him (I'd recommend the Seattle game, it was fantastic) it's pretty easy to see he isn't operating an offense designed for Tom Savage. Yeah, that's where I was originally going to go with my post, but I didn't want to toot my own horn The top 5 ratings I've issued this year (as of last night) are: Brady Wentz Wilson Watson Smith 4 of those 5 are averaging ~5 carries and ~25 yards per game and the other one's named Brady. -

Clearly Watson, yes. The only other one I would say has had success so far is CJ Beathard, given his supporting cast. But, as Yolo may point out, I'm slightly biased on that. -

It is starting in College. Offenses are being developed to get the most out of their skillsets as quickly as possible. Then they get to the NFL and they are asked to completely change the way they play because the coaches don't want to adapt. All you have to do is look at the success Houston was having with Watson this year. The staff there fully embraced Watson's skillset and he flourished for it. There needs to be more of that around the league, and there will be if Watson picks up where he left off down there because everyone else will need to catch up. -
2-2, actually. Third time it's happened this year. What's Clay's punishment for doing it twice? Several of us did expect it.

The only thing lacking is opportunities in the NFL for people willing to innovate with these talented young men. -

Look at this year alone. Wentz is averaging 5 carries for 22.4 rush yards per game Wilson is averaging 5.8 carries for 37.6 rush yards per game Smith is averaging 4.2 carries for 20 rush yards per game Watson was averaging 5.1 carries for 38.4 rush yards per game before getting hurt. Dak is averaging 3.4 carries for 24.7 rush yards per game Newton is averagin 7.4 carries for 43.6 rush yards per game These guys are the future of the position (other than Smith) as the old guard slowly phases out. Rollouts, RPO's and general movement outside the pocket is only going to increase. A comparison, for those who only watch the Bills Tyrod over the last 3 years: 2015: 7.4 carries for 40.6 rush yards per game 2016: 6.3 carries for 38.7 rush yards per game 2017: 5.7 carries for 27.5 rush yards per game -
Nate Peterman's performance against the Chargers
BuffaloHokie13 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No way. Our OL is really good. Haven't you seen the stats on how long our QB has to throw all year? -
Lets just go for Kirk Cousins in the offseason
BuffaloHokie13 replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cousins has 5 INTs total on the year. So even if your stat is accurate it's a bit overstated imo. I like Cousins, but I doubt he has much success here as the roster is currently constructed. He'd definitely need some help. -
McD already a hypocrite by not committing to Tyrod at KC
BuffaloHokie13 replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Chargers started only 4 of their 12 drives inside their 40 yard line. The 4 drives that required more an 60 yards for a TD ended in 3 FGs and 1 Punt. So maybe subtract 9? And even then, they missed a FG too, so more likely subtract 6. Now, what might the final score have been without all the turnovers is another discussion entirely. -

That's like not applying to a job because you assume you aren't qualified enough. Never eliminate yourself. It's a loser mentality. One that McD was supposedly working on getting rid of. -

I wasn't the one who said he can't consistently put it in a receiver's catch radius. Sorry your hyperbolic fiction doesn't align with reality. I'm also curious how Tyrod's first 2 throws to Benjamin weren't even in bounds when the 2nd play of the game was a 9 yard completion to KB on a slant. -

1) Rating under pressure doesn't put Tyrod on the same level as Brady. Everyone in the league is literally 50 points behind him. 2) Weird, he can't put it in their catch radius, but he's 13th in the league for completion % and a mere 9.6% higher than his replacement on the season so far... -

Please do not lump my guy Beathard in with Peterman. It's disrespectful -
Chargers felt disrespected by Peterman starting.

He had a great rating under pressure at Pittsburgh! -
Definitely wrong about Poyer. Thought he'd be a liability, happily surprised. And in light of recent events, I was apparently wrong about Dennison & Tyrod. Still kinda feels like a knife in the back... I really want to know what happened to the plays I was hearing about.

Yep. Need to sweep Miami, need to beat the Colts, and need to win one of @KC, NE, @NE.
