BuffaloHokie13 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We shot ourselves in the foot a couple times, and Tolbert shot us in the face a couple other times 4 3&Outs yesterday. - 2nd drive of the game for the Bills: 2nd & 4, Tripping penalty. 2nd & 14, Pass batted. 3rd & 14, Pass short left to McCoy - goes for 4 yards. - 5th drive of the game: 3rd & 1, Tolbert to left end for 0 yards. - 7th drive: 1st & 10, Holding. 1st & 20, Pass batted. 2nd & 20, Taylor avoids sack, scrambles for 7. 3rd & 13, Pass short middle to Tolbert - goes for 8 yards. - 8th drive: Incomplete, Sack, Sack. Saints also had 2 offensive penalties: An OPI on their 3rd drive turned 3rd & 3 into 3rd & 13. 3rd & 13, Brees pass short middle to B. Coleman - goes for 30 yards; S. Wright injures eye on play. An OPI on their 6th drive gave them 2nd & 20. We responded by jumping offsides turning a 1 yard loss into a 5 yard gain. 2nd & 15, pass complete deep left to M. Thomas - goes for 21 yards. -
Well he tweeted before the game ended. I'll finish it for him TD FG TD End of Game I mean, you could really just look at the Saints game in general: TD Fumble in Red Zone TD FG Kneel to end Half TD TD TD FG TD Kneel to end Game They scored on every possession they had except for 1 fumble and the kneeldowns. Incredible.

Sorry. I hope you find something to entertain yourself with your newfound free time!

Exactly. That paragraph that was quoted wasn't about any QB on our roster, or any specific QB at all.
-
The two of them are combining for fewer targets than they ever had in any year Buffalo, and we barely threw the ball. Pretty weird! On the bright side for them, it's the first time since 2014 that they both have a chance to play all 16 games.

It was on 3rd down and literally killed that particular drive. Not an excuse for the rest of the game, but it was kind of important to keep pace and momentum.

Of the Saints first 8 drives, 7 made it to the red zone. The 8th was the end of the 1st half kneel down. One of those 7 started in the red zone after the INT. The other 6 averaged 9 plays and 68.5 yards each. The Bills went 3 and out 3 times in that span. -
For sure. Not arguing that. I just think it's funny that people are watching Rams highlights and claiming Watkins & Woods have gotten definitively better than when they were here. Woods has certainly outperformed his career numbers thus far, but Watkins has regressed (from a production standpoint) to the point that the tandem is near identical to when they were on the most run heavy team in the NFL. Also, I'm just waiting for someone to ask who this Tandem guy is...
-
And, as a tandem, Woods and Watkins are producing almost exactly the same as they did here.

I'm not saying you aren't doing this, but you can't hang your hat on college production. If you do you'll end up with Colt Brennan, Kellen Moore, or Case Keenum. You have to look at what they do on the field, and how you feel it will translate to our system. Rosen is the only reason UCLA has won a game this year, by the way. He definitely carries that team on his back every week.

I might put together a table, as the data doesn't seem readily available in a good comparison format. There is a specific split stat for stats in the 4th quarter while the game is within 7 points (+/-). As an example; Brady is 20/34 for 233 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs, with a rating of 99.3 Eli is 22/33 for 312 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT, with a rating of 124.0 Brees is 8/10 for 99 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs, with a rating of 107.9

GDT: TNF Seahawks at Cardinals
BuffaloHokie13 replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To me, at least, if they really want to pull Thursday off right they need to only match up teams that are coming off of their Bye week. They could still do the Thursday season opener, and then have a Thursday game from weeks 5-12. This would give the participants 10 days rest before their Thursday game, and then another 9 days rest before returning to standard Sunday action. -
Here's your top 20, which includes a couple guys who didn't meet the minimum number of attempts. http://scores.nbcsports.msnbc.com/fb/leaders.asp?type=Passing&range=NFL&rank=110 List if you can't follow the link: 1) Russ Wilson, 135.2 2) Aaron Rodgers, 119.3 3) Kevin Hogan, 117.8 4) Drew Brees, 108.2 5) Phil Privers, 103.4 6) Eli Manning, 102.4 7) Alex Smith, 99.8 8) Tom Brady, 99.7 9) Marcus Mariota, 99.0 10) Deshaun Watson, 97.5 11) Matt Ryan, 97.2 12) Brian Hoyer, 94.9 13) Jameis Winston, 92.0 14) Matt Stafford, 91.7 15) Tyrod Taylor, 91.4 16) Jay Cutler, 90.6 17) Carson Wentz, 88.1 18) Blake Bortles, 87.2 19) Derek Carr, 86.2 20) Dak Prescott, 86.0

Let Thompson play Z for a game with KB at X and Matthews in the slot. I actually think that'll be a nice mix.

What is your favorite Buffalo Bills memory?

I'd have to go with the 2011 home win over the Patriots*. The scene as the clock struck 0:00 and the way everyone happily just lingered in their seats to applaud and process what they had just witnessed was something I've only experienced at a few games in Lane Stadium. -
My 2017 Midseason QB Rankings

In adding ANY/A I also found an error in Alex Smith's stats, which pushed him up a bit in my rating as well. All should be corrected in the OP now.
