  1. Bears, Colts, Steelers, 49ers, Saints (though I think they think their Taysom thing is real), Washington, Patriots, Bucs, Broncos could all potentially be in the market for a new starting QB (not to mention Jets / Jags likely taking Fields / Lawrence). As much as they would like to, Brady, Big Ben, Rivers, Brees will retire at some point.
  2. I think the Jets would already have a win if Darnold didn't get "hurt".
  3. If I am Jameis, I ask for my release today. He could be starting for Dallas or Chicago next Sunday.
  4. I think the demise of the Pats has been greatly exaggerated. Seems like Cam was dealing with some Covid after affects when he returned. Looking at their schedule moving forward, I wouldn't be shocked to see them rip off the last 7 games, get to 11-5 and make the division race very interesting.
  5. It's an obvious tank job. They had the Pats beat 2 weeks ago.
  6. If you would have offered me a split between Seattle and Arizona, I take it all day. But man, that loss hurts. That being said, it does feel good to be in a place as a fan where a painful loss potentially just means a different 1st round game, vs seeing the Pats still own the division or our playoff hopes are dashed.
  7. I have a theory on backs like Howard and Frank Gore. I know everyone is trying to make the game safer, so let's just create a "Gore" carry, similar to how baseball decided pitchers didn't need to throw 4 balls for an intentional walk, instead of making Gore or Howard actually carry the ball, lets just agree to move the ball forward 2 yards and kill a down.
  8. We have the 3rd best record in the league. We are 30th in waiver priority (or real close to that, might be off a couple spots).
  9. I've felt like Tua is one of the most overrated QB prospects in a while. I would take Fields over him no question.
  10. I think Patrick Mahomes is on a trajectory we've never seen before and it makes it really hard to reasonably judge young QBs after he broke the curve.
  11. Colts / Browns / maybe Baltimore would be our best case matchups with the way we are looking currently. The offense needs to right itself fast, I just can't see us keeping up with a team like Pittsburgh or KC currently and the level of physicality from Tennessee was already a problem.
  12. I never said he wasn't good. Over half the teams in the league would love to have him. But many acted like he broke football last year and the Ravens were geniuses for unlocking it. He's got a lot of growing to do and it's showing badly.
  13. They are irrelevant to the conversation. Lamar was supposed to be revolutionizing football last year. He laid an egg in the playoffs, against the Chiefs earlier in the year and against the Steelers on Sunday. Brown has been open downfield all year and Lamar has missed him on throws the Josh Allen haters would take victory laps over.
  14. It's almost like Lamar is more athlete than QB and we are finding out ~30 teams (including Baltimore) weren't actually crazy for passing on him in the draft.
  15. We won. We are 6-2 and 4-0 vs the division. Next 5 games tell the story of the season.
  16. Brady was what attracted the mid level FAs. The Pats and TB went head to head on Fournette, where is he? The Pats didn't get an influx of underpriced short term FAs to buoy their roster this year because for most of the time they were shopping playing with Stidham and Hoyer. Take out Brady, it's just a cold weather city with a demanding coach.
  17. He could stay 2 more years. Everyone is forgetting this year doesn't count for eligibility.
  18. You assume he's not going to get some incentive to "stay in school".....
  19. Meh. They both beat the Rams and both have dominated bad teams. Sometimes good teams have a bad game and get pushed around.
  20. Bad teams - Jets, Bengals, Jaguars, Texans, Giants, WFT, Cowboys, Eagles, Vikings, Falcons. I know some will see talent there, but those are all teams who are poorly coached and have proven throughout this season they lack fundamental elements necessary to be decent football teams. Mediocre teams - Dolphins, Pats, Colts, Raiders, Chargers, Broncos, Lions, Panthers. The Bears are probably in this category. Good teams - Bills, Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Chiefs, Titans, Packers, Bucs, Saints (they are iffy...), Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals, 49ers.
  21. The only reason to be afraid of this game is a 68 year old man who won't play a single down. I'm sure I'll eat my words, but the Pats are just a bad football team with a coach we've come to fear and no where near the talent level of the last decade or more. Look at how guys are flocking to Tampa. Now look at the Pats roster. Outside of Cam, (who looks as broken as the other 31 teams thought he was) who are the bargain mid level FAs they use to patch the roster for the last decade plus? They've drafted poorly for the last 5+ years. They got hit harder than any team in the league with opt outs. They have ~3 pro bowl caliber players, one is a guard and one plays special teams.
  22. If the first read isn't open, Wentz struggles to find secondary targets and holds the ball too long.
  23. The Eagles offense is very much a timing based offense, Wentz usually goes to his primary or bails out. I've seen multiple breakdowns showing Ertz hasn't been getting to the correct spots all year long. He's either lost a step or he's mailing it in. He's been the primary focus in that offense for 5 years now and his production fell completely off a cliff.
  24. Ertz couldn't get open at all this year. Either he's washed or he was mailing it in for not getting a contract extension. I'm not willing to pay a day 2 pick to find out which it is, considering he's already out a month plus. Frankly I think he's this year's AJ Green. Has a "lingering injury" that just won't let him get on the field for Philly.
