  1. I was in the clinical psychology PhD program at Memphis State University, now the University of Memphis, between 1976 and 1980. Went to Graceland many times when people came to visit. Actually got a little tired of it. However, this does give me yet another opportunity to share this little story: I was doing a clinical rotation on the spinal cord injury unit of Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis. While I was there, the word spread around the hospital like a wildfire that Elvis was brought there from his home and pronounced dead. So, I was actually in the building when Elvis left the building.
  2. Agreed. He is the most roller coaster ride of a quarterback I have ever seen.
  3. Doesn’t qualify as a genius to me. He has had a couple nice years. To become a genius you need a pedigree over a long period of time. Just my opinion. He’s off to a nice start. That’s it.
  4. It is all good. Maybe I’m not sure what your point is. All I was saying was that there is not a lot of evidence to make what I think your point was. I didn’t think you were trying to change my beliefs. One thing for certain. I don’t anoint McVay as some guru or genius in the least as some posters seem too. He hasn’t done anything yet.
  5. This is a very nice cherry pick now show us about 20 to 40 similar examples of this and your point is made.To me there is no evidence of a discernible trend where this is actually the case and works with great frequency. I believe it is quite rare, actually. Otherwise, I believe that the best way to build a team is through the draft.
  6. Wow! I get mortgaging the future to win now but, as good as Ramsey is, he doesn’t strike me as the kind of player who would put them over the top.
  7. I think the Pats* win this game easily. Some on this thread seem to be anointing Darnold as arrived. He flashed a good game against the Cowboys. But he will more likely revert to the 2nd year young QB he is against that D. I’m all for a Jets win but I don’t see it as likely.
  8. I have to admit, I’m pretty much at a point where I’d go along with Beane no matter what he does....except for AB
  9. I agree 100%. But a back up quarterback costing that much makes no sense to me at all.
  10. On the face of it it is bizarre. I have to let it breathe some before I can wrap my head around it or even find out if it was true or not.
  11. Right now DiMarco seems like the logical choice to me. But, I know these kinds of things can go in any kind of direction real fast.
  12. Mayfield’s college numbers are the result of him being a “system“ quarterback. Specifically, he was in a one read system. He completed a zillion short passes skewing his statistics. His temperament is a potential negative issue. As the number one pick overall I predicted he had high bust potential.Admittedly, it’s early, but right now he looks like a decent back up to me. His skill set does not transfer well to the NFL
  13. I don’t have a personal relationship with him. I’m sure he is a very nice guy. But, as a color analyst ?
  14. Ha! Brilliant move OBJ. Now you have them just where they want you.
  15. There will be multiple implosions. Then, one big one.
  16. His commercials are better than his quarterback play and I will leave it at that.
  17. Wow, I did not know that. Also, he used the word “plethora“ a minute or two ago. He is amazing.
  18. Rex and the Browns, a match made in ....um.....uh...yeah
  19. I wish the Bills had the Brown’s punter, though.
  20. Could have had a V-8, too. So what? Time to move on. Nothing is written.
