I think that the trend in recent years is to pretty much treat preseason like practice, especially for the more established teams. So holding people out for 4 weeks due to a hammy doesn't mean that its more severe than usual. Just that they actually have an opportunity to have them sit and heal during practice/preseason. And given the noise this year, I wouldn't really mind a slower start to the year if that meant we were in full stride come January. I think most fans and teams realize this, but you know the NFL and media will squeeze every bit of revenue from the meaningless practice games if they can. So I'm not too worried, except for the Safety position, since it seems that was kind of ignored so far this offseason. Sort of a wait and see situation.

Squad: Gore Jr, Wilkerson, Chairo, Buechele, Hardy,..... I don't think Lundt makes it through waivers, but we'll see.

Lundt is pretty awesome to watch. I know its backups, but he dominates his guy on almost every play. #77 Lundt and Grable are about as good as it gets for a backup tackle duo.

Chiarlo is a playmaker. Hope we keep him for special teams or practice squad.

Shenault is staying. Versatile for teams.

Hoecht has looked good in the preseason. Another solid role player who will take advantage of the time he is in there.

I saw Rapp got thrown out of practice yesterday for fighting with E. Moore. Not a big deal but also not what you want from a guy coming off of injury and our only real starter at safety. I like Rapp and his willingness to hit, but I've always viewed him as a backup in this system. To me, its crazy that he is our guy in the safety room this year, along with a question mark beside him. I guess we'll see what happens in a couple weeks.

Jarveon Howard lasted about 10 hours before being waived. Haven't heard of Alexander but seems like they are stacking bodies in case they need them later in the year due to injuries. In short, this is camp fodder, and nothing more.

I heard that they will probably start Flacco for the first few weeks due to the gauntlet of a schedule they have. So my guess is Gabriel and Pickett will back him up. Sanders waived, and picked up for someone practice squad.
