  1. http://hosted.stats.com/fb/tmleaders.asp?type=Receiving&range=NFL&rank=232 Where do they find these stats? I can't believe Zay hasn't alone dropped 13 balls this year. To illustrate how bad the statistic is, ESPN did not call Allen's pass to Clay vs. NYJ over the middle a drop..... Still looking for a replay as he was wide open with room to run and it was a perfect pass and an easy catch..... Heck Zay had two hit him in the hands too that game dropped.
  2. How anyone can not watch the Bills and not see that they do not make tough or contested receptions & drop an inordinate amount of balls is out & out lying.
  3. Oh and both TD drives were aided by huge PI's on Detroit (43 & 23 yards). This offense and play calling is pathetic. McD wet his pants with this weekends 14-13 result......
  4. 13 completions for 204 or 15.7 yards per completion. Add 2 PI's for another 66 yards and then we see his worth. Oh and again 3-4 drops (a few would have been great catches but receivers got both hands on the ball). BTW Stafford had 22 completions for 208 or 9.45 and Galloday made at least 2 catches that no Bill has made all season. And Galloday was a 3rd round pick in his second season with already 1,000 yards (talking to you Zay) Just listening to the Ringer & BIll Simmons & Cousin Sal are calling him "Can't miss TV". They missed Shady and certainly some easy completions and shorter routes should be in the playbook. Hate this offense, enjoy Allen though.
  5. And Kelly 0 4000 yard seasons. & for reference https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_yds_single_season.htm And I dream of a 300 yard passing game & win....
  6. Golden Tate is perfect for the Bills and by far the best WR FA. But people would complain Bills paid too much. The guy battles and YAC is always up there.
  7. Sorry windfall (spell check). Foster catch was a nice catch, nothing spectacular. The pass however was something else.
  8. May be to feel better one can add the 2 PI's & 66 yards to the stats or the Deonte Thompson & Zay Jones drops (both not perfect passes, but catches made by many a wr around the league).
  9. And a pedestrian catch like Fosters 75 yard TD is now considered a circus catch. I'd be excited to see a receiver fighting for a catch and am impressed when they adjust for one. Would like to see something before the end of the year. Like the holy grail 300 yard game, here in Buffalo 225 is considered a win fall......
  10. Buffalo Bills football baby.... McD is convinced that 14-13 is the way of the NFL. A perfect weather day Sunday and plenty of opportunity and they played their milk the clock, hope for a break or two, no mistake football. Yes I too would like to see more offense and certainly there were opportunities.
  11. I watched the end of the NE game and the last three passes Brady threw. All were terrible & not a chance to catch any in a do or die situation. Of course all I thought is if this was Allen, he'd be crucified here. The Bills receivers are garbage and don't make plays. Outside Foster, there is almost no separation and Zay seems to have leaned from KB as he doesn't come hard for the ball or fights to catch it. Allen pretty much on the money all day, with only a couple of bad passes. And he also was responsible for two PI that accounted for 66 yards and set up both TDs.
  12. Was not way over his head. It was a pass NFL receivers are supposed to make. As per my thread, you look a every game and there are difficult catches being made. With the bills even feathering a pass in, they bobble it and it goes to video review. Zay just disappoints week after week.
  13. Another week and see catches by every team, and even the announcers comment on it. Another couple of passes that while not drops, would have been nice to see caught.
  14. The Bills mindset is a 3 point game from the get go (20-17 would be big time offense). Thus as we saw Sunday once they get a lead they start playing tighter and tighter. At 20-20, they play simply for the FG thinking that will seal the deal. It's an old worn out story.
  15. There were easily 4 & pretty sure 6 drops on Sunday. Zay 2, The Clay one and McCoy in the backfield off the top of my head. Now how about giving JA credit for getting 2 long PI calls (something our other QB's never seem to draw) and at least 2 more roughing the passer calls.
  16. The OP as said missed the egregious Clay drop and then in his final assessment didn't acknowledge throwaways or drops. If I am correct there were 5 perfect passes dropped. Not every throw is right on the money. That alone disqualifies this thread.
  17. How many times has it been mentioned that it was a perfect pass an d hit him in the hands. A catch 95%+ of NFL players should make. Yes a little bit of a jump. Not a great catch. What it was, was an incredible play by JA in the face of 3 rushers.
  18. The fact you missed the Clay drop pretty much makes the rest invalid. He made some really nice throws, some bad ones too. The First INT was terrible and the last pass not very good either. What I didn't see was him missing any wide open receivers along with throwing some darts. The first half I remember at least 4 drops on perfect passes and certainly Zay another one in the second half. Add to that very few dump offs or passes behind the line of scrimmage. Below is the pass chart for all QB's. https://nextgenstats.nfl.com/charts/list/pass I too can blame progressively worse playcalling as the game went on (or better play by the Jets D).
  19. Exactly what I thought when it was caught. Actually there were two catches on that drive that the Bills haven't made all year. Nothing close to that this year.
  20. Watching a lot of Bills games huh?
  21. Why did it take 24 hours to acknowledge what pretty much everyone saw? Geez knew Alex Smith's break in under 2 hours...... Was McD playing games with the Lions?
  22. And I called him Holmes (as said receivers almost interchangeable). That Foster catch was a catch that I made 1,000 times playing with friends as a kid. Run put your hands up and ball hits you in hands. How low are Bill's fan's standards.
  23. Yep he made an adjustment and made the catch, which is expected when the DB didn't see the pass. AB make that catch every single week. Bills are so beaten down that as another poster stated that just catching the ball one goes "wow" Really????? How many TD passes do we see where one is convinced the receiver is OB and then see the footwork. Happens all the time and often game changers. Case in point yesterday. Clay catches that easy pass over the middle & runs for 20 more yards (vs. Allen fumbling the next play) and you don't think it matters?
  24. Was it PI??? Maybe and seen it called plenty, but certainly was not a mugging. Zay made a great play, got both hands on the ball (and underneath) but as per usual with Bills receivers then bobbled it and it was overturned. It was a perfect pass and he caught it. Nothing more, nothing less.
  25. Admittedly I think he may have caught a few 50/50 balls, but as you said all the drops made me forget.....
