C & that is generous. Need to see them put away a team and not struggle for portions of the game. First half they were great vs. the Giants & then let them get back in the game. Not enough slants, quick hit and passing yards. 5-1 & largest lead no more then 14 as the Bills then shutdown.

The point is that McDermott and many on this board have been going gaga over this Defense that played superb vs. NE & has played also against some of the worst teams in the NFL (particularly on offense). Yes the reason for the thread was too many here were trumpeting the Defense as so good that all the offense needs to do is put up 14-20 points a game (and no turnovers) and the Bills are "Golden". Sorry the offensive game calling and mindset should be 30 points+/game.

Rain, two defensive scores and a different narrative on Lamar Jackson who had great running #'s, but passing was almost all due to 2 long throws. But the media loves him & 9-20 & 143 yards is perfectly acceptable. The Bills move the ball, they just seem incapable of piling up big yards and yes I want to see that 300+ yard passing game.

The point was, when anyone here laments about the offensive scheme & play calling, some here went on about just how good the D is and that 17-13 works for them. The Bills have had just a ridiculously good schedule to date and certainly taken advantage of it, but they need to understand that at the end of the day this is an offensive league and need more then 17 points most weeks (today they needed at least 22).

Miami had scored 42 points prior to today & seemed pretty competent on Offense (on the road no less) against a Defense that had some here going on and on about as the best in the league. Many were calling them the best in the 2019 NFL (or top 3)...... And McDermott coaches the Offense as if they are and can win every game 14-10..

As were the Monsters of the Midway or the 2000 Ravens and the Bills can not win every game 17-13? Today we saw Miami almost beat them and if not for a bad Int at the goal line (and subsequent 98 yard drive) and a bad fumble the Bills again play to their competition. This trying to control the clock and game between the 20's is a dangerous recipe and the Bills need to know how to score in the high 20's.

Just how dominant is this Buffalo Bills defense?

And they've played only one team with a semblance of any offense (NE). Very good, but schedule has helped too. -
Bills are 25th Offensive Points

It's not that entertaining 17-13 imo. Again what was a better game to watch the 13-3 Superbowl or the NFC & AFC Championship games? Oh yea and NE had to put up 37 points in that game to make the Superbowl...... KC too were a dear in the Headlights scoring 0 the first half. -

How about being entertained? As a Bills fan they are winning so yes that makes me happy, but if you are just watching the game as a football fan, the games are not that much fun. -

Welcome to the 10% or less..... 6-3 games after 1 (imo) is more then enough. We are not a fun team to watch (outside 4th quarter comebacks). Frankly I'd like to see this team down by 14 and see what they have (yeah yeah I know NYJ). More so I'd love to see a shootout. -

You do realize that even amongst the most ardent fans (I'd bet 90%) would have no interest after a while watching 6-3 games???? My friend was in Tennessee and has been a season ticket holder driving down for 30 odd years and he commented how boring a game it was. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/270428-worst-game-ever-buffalo-vs-cleveland-review But keep fondly reminiscing about that Cleveland game...... Oh I forgot Buffalo lost...... -

It is as I say over & over the idea that McClappy preaches about the game being played between the 20's. The Bills can move the ball, they just often turn conservative and continue to play for a 17-13 game, vs. where the NFL is going, which is 27-24 (or higher). Eventually it will bite them in the a$$. Yes I want them playing with the mindset that they need to score 30+ every game & not ball control. -
Duke signed to active roster

The point is that he was the top receiver by a pretty wide margin, average yards receiving very good & when he catches the ball I don't see juggling, which is important. -
6 takeaways from the Bills' decision to trade Zay Jones
Billsfan1972 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How they came up with 6????? The point was he just didn't do anything, and there were high hopes as a second rounder. He didn't make as far as I remember a contested grab, didn't fight for the ball, catch anything that would count as difficult, had drops little YAC. If he flourishes elsewhere good for him, but can't see it based on the body of evidence to date. -

Watch his CFL highlights, look at how big he is and the fact he was the #1 receiver in the league should have answered any questions. -

The day Zay makes a tough catch will be his first. I wanted to see him do well, but seeing replays of him getting lost on a wide open route and dropping Tyrod's pass just infuriates me. WR's are supposed to be sure handed and able to battle for the ball, something I never saw Zay do. -
Week 7 Against Miami - Allen's First 300 Yard Game
Billsfan1972 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills last 300 yard passing game was 2016 OT vs. Miami. And note that was the only game that year they threw for 300. No wonder some here suffer from Stockholm Syndrome and go on about not needing to throw for 300.... It happens for every team in the NFL but Buffalo!!!!! -
And with a bye week coming up, they'd serve his head on a platter!!!!
-
And so is NE's........ Frankly NE's is much better......
-
Can you imagine how many pages there'd be on here about Allen if he put up a stinker like that? Heck after NE the Barkley talk as the better option was real here.

And we'd have some people here waxing poetically about the Clevelland Brown's Buffalo Bills 6-3 embarrassment if the Bills had won that day!!!!
