  1. So sick of all the injuries. I know other teams have them but what is it with the Bills?!? Seriously, we haven't even played a pre-season game yet and we got Lawson, Shaq, Reggie, Incognito, Glenn, AW, Dez and others hurt. Double this list by end of pre-season, halfway through the year we'll be picking up guys off the street. Shaping up to be another great year!
  2. I honestly have no clue how we're going to do this season, although I'd be more surprised if they won 10-11 versus losing 10-11. I do think our schedule is very difficult, and we're going to need a little luck (including staying relatively healthy) to make the playoffs.
  3. You know, I'm not sure what people expected last year. Sure, it was disappointing to miss the playoffs again, but the fan frustration is magnified due to the last 16 years which Rex had nothing to do with. So far, he's 8-8 with what most feel is a team talented enough to make the playoffs. But I think we forget that there was an entire new coaching staff in place, a new QB who wasn't named the starter until late into pre-season, new FA's at key positions that needed time to gel and most of all a ridiculous amount of injuries to key players. I don't need to hear that all teams go through this because while that may partly be true, it's definitely not at the level the Bills experienced last year. To go 8-8 through all of that really wasn't a disaster like some think. I like Rex as a person, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't question his ability as a coach. I'm holding out hope, but definitely feel the guy deserves a chance to prove himself with this team. Unless this year is a total disaster, give the guy until end of his 3rd year to put up or shut up.
  4. I find it funny that every year, there's a new reason why the Pats will fall. I've heard it all. They have no defense, no running game, too many injuries, Brady is getting old or has nobody to throw to. This year it's Brady's suspension. Yet, nothing changes, year after year, they win the AFC East. Plain and simple. It's a plug and play system, and yes Brady is one of the best ever, but I'm telling you they will win the division again and keep doing so as long as BB and TB (to a lesser extent) are there. It kills me to say it, but it's the truth.
  5. At worst they go 2-2 w/ Jimmy. I mean, how many games did they win with Cassel? Nothing phases them, as long as Belichick is there they will be favs to win the Bowl and nothing changes this year. Sure, I'm happy Brady will miss time but in the grand scheme we know the story remains the same.
  6. Hello no, the guys ruined football for me for like the last 15 years.
  7. Anyone know why we didn't re-sign Rambo? Seems like the guy played well, made big plays, contributed on ST but for whatever reason never got much love.
  8. I just don't get how we're in such a bad cap situation. Sure we paid big money to Marcel and Cordy, and I know Shady is towards the top for RB's but where is all the money tied up? Richie's contract wasn't huge. We restructured Clay, Graham, Kyle, Carpenter, etc. We got rid of Mario's big contract, Harvin is gone (6 million), Bradham, Hogan, Brooks and others are gone. We have very little money tied up at QB and WR. Just seems like we should be in a better cap situation.
  9. When he's motivated, he's a great player and I think he's got 3 or so solid years left. He didn't buy into the scheme this year so instead of swallowing his pride, he flat out gave up. It's a shame, and I think there's fault to go around here between coach and player. Mario will go to another team and return to form assuming he's allowed to do what he does best. Let's just hope he doesn't go to the Pats. You know they won't overpay and will use their "come here, take less money but you'll compete for a championship" pitch.
  10. Funny how wrong this thread is as it was pretty much the opposite. The lateral call was not conclusive, Brady had at least 2 intentional grounding plays that wasn't called. Amendola fumbled and that call went the Pats way. So, if anything the Pata got the big calls in this one and the Broncos still found a way.
  11. LB, Safety, Oline and an edge rusher to replace Mario is what this team needs. I don't see investing much at WR to be nearly as big a need. We have plenty of weapons on offense, we just need Tyrod to continue to evolve as a QB and the offense will be fine.
  12. Isn't it the coaches responsibility to make sure his players are ready and get the most out of them? Sorry, that's what a good coach does! If the players don't want to put the time in and prepare like they should, then you get players that will. Plain and simple. Giving Rex another year is the right move and hopefully he learns from the mistakes of this year, but if the defense doesn't improve next year (and they miss playoffs again) then I think it's time to move on. With that said, if the offense continues to improve, but the defense stays the same...make Roman head coach which would keep the offensive scheme in place.
  13. OK, definitely not the greatest by a long stretch, but thought it was hilarious when McCoy said "Chip can't shake s***"!!!
  14. If I'm Terry and Kim, I'd give Rex one more year as well to fix the defense and get this team into the playoffs. If Whaley has another solid draft why wouldn't you keep him? If Rex can't fix the defense but the offense continues to improve, I'd name Roman as HC and find a proven D coordinator whose scheme fits our players.
  15. Is this post a joke? Pretty comical to say the least. Anyway, Belichick is very smart but Ernie Adams is the true brains behind the Pats.
  16. I was concerned at the start about Rex changing the defensive scheme and concerned he would force his D that didn't fit the players. But then him and Thurman told us they don't run a 3-4, their defense is multiple and players will be put in a position of their strength. I bought into it but now realize they tried fitting a square peg in a round hole and ruined the D. Biggest waste of talent ever and a lost season. Very frustrating!
  17. Rex isn't going anywhere for now, so let's at least start by getting rid of the following: 1. Crossman 2. Thurman 3. Bobbie 4. IK 5. Both kickers (need to find one who can handle both duties) 6. Duke 7. Thigpen 8. EJ 9. Mario Williams (just not gonna fit with Rex and free up lots of cash) 10. Jordan Mills 11. Hogan 12. McKelvin 13. Goodwin (can't stay healthy) Needs: LB, Safety, Kicker, WR, OL
  18. Ok, the one guy I really thought we can count on to be an asset for the Bills was Roman. I now have serious doubts about him as well. His play calling is baffling.
  19. 1. Special teams hurting us again. We are the only team in the league with a kickoff specialist and the guy can't even get a touchback!! The fumble was also a huge momentum change 2. Very disappointed in the execution of the offense. They've blown good field position and have had their chances against a weak D. They need to step up in 2nd half 3. We miss Gilmore. Overall been OK with D with exception of giving up 3 at end of half. 4. Do we ever win a coin toss? I swear it feels like we start with the ball every game!!!
  20. Everyone was concerned about the offense and just assumed we'd automatically be a top 5 defense. Well, the offense has been better than expected and the D is a shell of what it has been the last few years. So, not sure what you're expecting but I'm more concerned with our D returning to dominant form.
  21. Playoffs!?!!! Playoffs!?!? If you really think this team is making the playoffs you are in dream land
  22. Actually, Gay doesn't appear to be able to kick it out of the end zone anymore either. Most of his kicks against KC were right at the goal line and the week before not much better. Both kickers IMO need to go and I would be OK using a draft pick to get ONE good solid kicker who can handle both duties.
