  1. First order of business. Fire the ST coordinator NOW
  2. A few early thoughts: 1. Obviously huge mistake by Easley on opening kickoff. Special teams aside from Schmidt has been been dreadful this year. With offense struggling, points are at a premium and we can't give up free points like that with dumb penalties. 2. Offense really misses Watkins/McCoy/Williams but they still are not executing. Taylor had easy first down on read option but handed ball off for a loss 3. Defense is hanging tough. Been on field all 1st half, some good field position for Titans and only gave up 3 pts! Will take that any day. 4. Anyone see that block in back on Bills punt not called? McCluster returned it to mid field. Big miss call by refs, would have been over 30 yard difference 5. Could care less how ugly this game might be, JUST WIN. Need to hang in there until we get offensive weapons back GO BILLs
  3. Really hope AW can play this week because Duke Williams is TERRIBLE. Not really sure why he's even on the team, there has to be someone better out there.
  4. I liked the game plan last week with the offense. They came out passing, had some early success and that opened up the run game. I thought they would do the same this week with a solid Giants run D and weak secondary. Instead it seemed as though they tried to establish the run game first which was a bad idea. I like Roman, but am a bit baffled by the game plan this week.
  5. This is the worst I have seen our ST in years. Seems like the players are trying so hard not to get a penalty they stopped blocking people. I agree, they need to make a change here.
  6. The cheating will continue and nothing will be done about it. It really is sickening. I will say though that as long as Belichick & Ernie Adams are at the helm, they will always be a top tier team. It's a plug and play system, even at QB. Brady would not be a HOF QB if it weren't for Bill & Ernie. If Brady retired tomorrow, they would still win 10+ games with Jimmy G and get back to 11-13 win seasons once he gets more experience in the system.
  7. Our defense won't be as good as people think and our offense will be better than anticipated. Still expect a top 10 D but don't think top 5. They'll give up some big plays when Rex brings the house and I'm a bit concerned about our secondary. I really liked the D last year with Schwartz just rushing 4 because we can still get good QB pressure with stud line and not leave corners out to dry.
  8. Just curious how much stock to put into a guy like Cassel or Fred to go to another team and share inside info on our offense. I know players move teams all the time and understand it's nothing new but still concerns me. Does anyone know if teams make players sign anything before leaving stating they agree not to share any inside info on scheme? Not that it would stop them from doing so, but would at least make me feel a little better.
  9. Hands down keep EJ. Rare cases like Luck and Wilson have skewed everyone's expectations for young QB's to be immediate stars. There is zero patience anymore and people just want to move on to the next guy. EJ hasn't even played one full season, was thrown into the starter roll when he wasn't ready, had some nice games with below average talent and bad coaching which I feel really set him back. Sure he's had his struggles but what young QB doesn't?!?! I see some huge improvements with him this year and feel he's only going to keep getting better, especially if a guy like Roman can stick around for a little while. Cassel is a below average QB that's had one good year with the Pats which to me either shows the Patriots were definitely cheating or Belichick is the greatest coach of all time by a long shot. I think we should cut him and use the money to sign a FA CB/OL/LB or resign Dareus and/or Bradham. Would also have an extra roster spot available for depth or special teams position over a 3rd string QB who will be a cheerleader all year sitting on the sidelines.
  10. LOVE everything about Fred, but the NFL is a business and this is a good decision. Age (increased injury potential and losing step), financial savings to either sign a FA or pay a guy like Dareus/Bradham, and the fact he doesn't play special teams is huge. Karlos has impressed and looks poised to be #2 back with Boobie as the 3rd. I would be OK cutting Brown if it lets us keep a guy like Thigpen who could be a real special teams asset, add depth at WR and be the 4th/emergency RB on the roster. GO BILLS!!! Freddie, good luck wherever you go unless it's the Pats.
  11. Everyone has a theory on the QB situation. My thought is they honestly still don't know who the starter will be. Tyrod has been a nice surprise, and while EJ hasn't been as consistent in OTA's a and practices, he's played well in preseason games and is the only QB with a TD (2). Cassel is who everyone thought he would be...consistently average with the most NFL experience. There's really a case to be made for all 3 QB's and I think the coaches are going back and forth with who they want as the starter. I do think EJ was the clear #3 until he lead the drive to win against CLE and now the coaches want to see what he can do with 1st team in a game. Is it possible that EJ is a better game player than in practice? I do think he has improved this year and whoever is our starter will be better than what we had last year because of GRo's system and added offensive weapons. The only other scenario I see is they have fielded calls from teams interested in trading for EJ and want to showcase him against a 1st team D. I'm not buying some of the things I've been hearing tho: 1. Rex wants to be true to his word that the QB competition will be fair and this makes him look good to the players and fans. 2. Rex doesn't want to rip his hand to Indy on who the starter will be week one and starting EJ will confuse things IMO, the competition is still going and EJ has shown enough where they want to give him a shot with the ones and see what he can do. I do like EJ, but from what I've seen out of Tyrod I would say he is my front runner...for now.
  12. Matt Cassel, in his first NFL action, won 10 games with the Patriots. Trust me, there is a lot more going on in that organization than deflated footballs.
  13. I'll be pissed if it's not at least a 4 game suspension which is what's given for steroids. I think it should be a minimum of 6 games though. He was caught cheating, lied to the league and everyone about it, and didn't cooperate with the investigation. Not cooperating should at least be two extra games.
  14. The NFL couldn't 100% determine if the Patriots broke the rules. Well duh, it's impossible to do so when the team doesn't cooperate with an investigation!!! As an analogy, it's like the killer hiding the murder weapon from investigators. There's enough circumstantial evidence to convict, but all the naysayers will say there is no smoking gun. Brady didn't hand over his cell phone for one reason only. There was something on there he didn't want them to see. Period! Oh, and the Patriots also denied a 2nd interview with their locker room guy, of which the report states there was some important follow up questions they wanted answered. What do you say to that ROBERT KRAFT! Fully cooperated my ass!
  15. Some in the media and general public will say there is no smoking gun listed in the Wells report. The report uses a lot of speculation and generality. Tom Brady refused to hand over his cell phone and other communication (perhaps email records). Hmmm, why wouldn't you hand them over if you're not hiding something??? This to me is the most crucial piece in the entire report and I feel like people aren't making a bigger deal about this. How much you want to bet Tom is keeping evidence that would 100% implicate him. The Patriots also refused the NFL a second interview with the locker room attendant when they had some important follow up questions to ask him. The Patriots have stated several times "We are cooperating fully with the investigation". If I'm Troy Vincent, I'm looking at the lack of cooperation by the Patriots as well as Brady's refusal to hand over what should be deemed as the crucial evidence which most likely shows he lied about everything. The NFL needs to come down hard on them not only for intentionally breaking the rules, but set a precedent as well for what happens when you don't cooperate with an investigation and hide info. They should also take into effect the history of this team and cheating. -Brady should be suspended for a minimum of 1 year and a hefty fine. -The Patriots organization should have 2016 draft picks taken away and fined for the simple fact that they refused the NFL a 2nd interview with the locker room guy. -As for Belichick, I find it hard to believe this guy doesn't know EVERYTHING that goes on behind closed doors in that building. If it were any other coach, I'd say he probably didn't know (as it's not common for a coach to be involved in ball pressure) but we all know Belichich is a different bird. Regardless, because there's no proof of his knowledge, I don't think you can hand down any punishment to him. Thoughts?
  16. Not thrilled and here's why: 1. Three tough games right away for a team with a completely new scheme and coaching staff. 2. Two away games on PT and none at the Ralph. Road games are tough enough, let alone in at night. 3. 5 road games in 6 weeks. That's ridiculous. If they can somehow start 2-1 I think we win at least 10 and make playoffs. They absolutely cannot lose the first two home games, need to at least split.
  17. "Circling any games"? Without hesitation, "Oh yeah, both the New England games". Love it! How many coaches would say that? That's why the players love this guy, total straight shooter. GO BILLS!
  18. Always seemed to be a team first player and good locker room guy. Truly feel he cared about this team which you can't say about all. He came up with some big plays for us and always felt he was pretty solid (not great) and a bit underappreciated here. There's only a handful of elite TE's in the league and although he wasn't one of them, I think he was average to slightly above. With that said, you have to trust what the coaches are doing and guessing he just wasn't a fit for the new offense under Roman. It would be great if we can land Clay, and with the huge contract they just gave Suh the Bills may believe Miami won't be able to match their deal. Hoping they can still land a decent FA Guard and perhaps another QB (i.e. Taylor) to add to the competition. GO BILLS!!!
  19. Not a chance, he'll get a huge contract with someone like the Raiders or Jax. Sorry, not interested in paying big money to Revis either when we have such holes on offense.
  20. No chance and complete garbage. Unless we can get someone like Bradford, EJ will be the starter week one. Hoping he proves all the doubters wrong.
  21. If losing Hughes means we can sign a guy like Iupati and add a solid TE like Cameron, then best of luck to you Jerry.
