  1. For Seattle, no question it's Wilson. If he plays the way he did last week, it's game over. If he takes care of the football, converts on 3rd down and uses his legs to make plays then Seattle has a good chance. For NE, it's much tougher to say since they never rely on any one particular player. Brady may be the exception but you can almost bank on Brady playing well. I do think Blount and Gronk will be key factors though and look for a few big plays from LaFell and Vereen in passing game. The X Factor will be the refs. I see this as a close game that can be swayed by a suspect penalty call that will be at a critical point in the game. GO HAWKS!!!
  2. OBJ is a beast. Whatever team they play on, whatever QB is throwing to them, I could care less. After one NFL season, I can clearly say OBJ is a flat out stud and may go down as one of the best of all time when it's all said and done. Not to take anything away from Sammy as he had a great rookie year as well, but no question after year one OBJ is more dynamic. Three to five years from now, who knows what will happen. As for getting on Whaley for giving up a 1st and 4th to get what looks to be the 2nd or 3rd best WR in the draft, debate all you want. I think it's clear just about every NFL team had Sammy the #1 WR on their board, and the Giants even admitted as much. If the Bills didn't make that move, they wouldn't have taken OBJ at #9 and most likely taken Ebron. To me, if not for Sammy, the Bills win 6-7 games this year. It's been awhile since the Bills had a true #1 WR and they took a chance. Time will tell if it was the right move, but I do give Whaley some credit for taking a chance.
  3. Wow, really hope this isn't what they're planning, it looks terrible. Notice how the seats (especially end zone) go out and not up. Not good for crowd noise and you're super far away from the field. I think the stadium should definitely have a retractable roof.
  4. Really wish Russ would stay away from the football side of things, but perhaps Whaley was busy with Rex. Anyway, to me, the Rex hire is great ONLY if he brought in a strong OC. Roman is one of the few that fit the bill and my top choice. The two of them together makes this flat out AWESOME! I wasn't nearly as sold on Trestman. Sure, I'd love to see Schwatz stay, but to me the hiring of Roman is far more important than who will run the D.
  5. I don't care what they do, just keep Brandon far away from any football related decisions.
  6. I think it's obvious that the top coaches wanted are still in the playoffs. I'm sure the Bills have ranked their top 5 or so and are well aware Buffalo will not be their first choice. So, waiting for key candidates to become available, go after who they want starting with their #1 and go from there based on where these guys choose to take jobs. I expect at least a few hires after this weekends games and Kubiak will become a hot name if Ravens lose. BTW, I think Kubiak would be a great hire!
  7. These make the most sense to me for each teams needs: Jets: Dan Quinn Bears: Shanny 49ers: Gase Falcons: Rex Raiders: No clue, but would give Sporano a shot. Think he's a bit underrated Bills: Hue or Bevell. Would love to see Kubiak tho
  8. 15. Play to win instead of playing not to lose 16. Bring in a Guard and TE via free agency since the draft is thin at these positions. Jermichael Finley anyone? 17. Be a players coach (i.e. you want them to like you...don't be a dick) while earning their respect 18. Don't give up on flash Goodwin. If he can stay healthy, he can be dangerous
  9. Bills 30 Pack 27 Woods, Freddie and Chandler score w/ kid rock booting 3 FG's. Defense gets 5 sacks and 3 turnovers. Feeling this one, expect them to win. Go Bills!!!
  10. I think we catch Green Bay on a down week here and win this one. We should be able to get good pressure on Rodgers, and I'm not impressed with their run game. GB defense is better this year, but I think we'll move the ball on them and put up some points. Bills win this one 30-27. We should win in Oakland and be 9-6 going into NE. Regardless of the importance of this game for NE, they never lay down and will be ready. This is the game that will decide our playoff fate, and unfortunately I think the Patsies stick it to us again. Just my two cents, but if we can win the next two we'll at least have a very meaningful game in week 17.
  11. Wow, this is a big deal to me. Marrone is either incompetent or a liar. I think the guy is a little too honest with the media anyway, so I'm assuming he had no clue his best pass rusher was sitting on the sidelines and that scares me. I noticed Lawson was in for at least one huge run as well. A quality head coach does not miss something like this and it makes me wonder how much (or little) of a handle he has on the team. The media needs to ask him straight up how a HC doesn't realize his best pass rusher is on the sidelines for almost half the game.
  12. Good for AW! I have no issue with this. There are certain things that should remain in the locker room, but when you're 5-5 and on your way to 15 straight years without making playoffs because of incompetent coaches who play not to lose, then by all means speak up.
  13. How many fans do you think will show for a Bills/Jets game in Detroit? I realize there are bigger issues here, but it sure does suck that we finally get rid of the Toronto game and here we are with 7 home games again. The storm is supposed to end tonight, I just can't believe they wouldn't be able to clear the snow in 3-4 days time if NFL moved the game to Monday or Tuesday.
  14. No question it's bad for the team and the upcoming game. I've gone from being fairly confident in a W to now thinking it wouldn't be a surprise at all if we lost. The team has already had a long layoff from the Thursday game and really needed to get back to it this week and focus on the Jets. It's really important for these guys to be at the facility to get treatment for injuries. These guys are all creatures of habit and their schedule is completely out of whack. I'm just hopeful the NFL does the right thing and changes the game to Monday or Tuesday. One thing I thought was interesting...Dan Carpenter is listed on injury list with a groin and there's a picture of him standing in 4' of snow going to help shovel for some neighbors. It's possible that something like this will further bond the players and community and turn this into a positive, but I think it may be a bit much to overcome for this game, especially if the game is played on Sunday.
  15. Completely agree. Coaching is the problem with this team. If there's one thing Pegula can do that Ralph didn't is to spend money to get a top tier HC.
