  1. It's a 16 game season so it'll take more than 1 game before this place erupts. If it becomes apparent that we are not going to make the playoffs the Fred decision will be linked to that outcome and Whaley will be blamed for bursting the bubble of happiness right before the season. If we make the playoffs Whaley will not get 100% of the credit but people will forgive and accept the decision.
  2. Fred can still play. Saturday showed he can still produce a long run. It's a crap move because leadership is an essential part of any winning organization. From a leadership standpoint alone Fred is worth a roster spot. That being said he can also still play too. These moves happen around the league but not to players of a certain caliber. I didn't see the Steelers cutting Bettis even though the wheels didn't go roun and round like they used to. How many games has Fred been the guy to spark the team and get us a win. Its a damn shame...
  3. Dude... You have to allow people to have the emotional response after hearing that one of the greats just got cut. Makes me think of Saturday night with Thurman and Tasker up in the box talking about how they hope Fred and Kyle get to taste a home playoff game at the Ralph. This is such a crap move by Whaley and whomever.
  4. No doubt its NE. There is a certain coach there that has always eyed Fred, his type of play and his professionalism. Fred will see the playoffs this year, something I am not as sure about for the Bills. This was a very short sited move. I am very unhappy
  5. That's a good one. London was a tackling machine. I think the point of the thread is to name players that should not have been cut and not just a place to provde generic negative comments
  6. In 2014 Rodgers was better than Brady and this D made him look average. Some of our loses to the Pats have been psychological, and we need to beat him to get past that. If we play him twice then we get 2 chances to show them that this is not the same old Bills. With our Defense I like our chances.
  7. I think he has potential. He is not a long term starter but he would buy us more time to go find one. Everything that's coming out about EJ says that he still is not accurate and is still holding onto the ball too long. Hoyer started off well last year and was playing really well the year before (right up to us taking out his leg). I think his style of play would work well with Roman's run first, play action offense - he has the smarts and moves well. I'm really not sure where EJ and Cassel will take us, and know little about Taylor. Hoyer has had some success despite all the drama and distractions that come with playing in Cleveland. There that's my logic The Browns organization is a big old mess. I'm not sure that you can base anything on what happened there, especially last year. I watched Hoyer make a lot of plays out of nothing. He can throw a deep ball and hit a receiver http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/article-1/Locker-Room-Report-Brian-Hoyer-rated-as-the-best-deep-passer-in-the-NFL/f84ccaa4-8e55-402c-a253-58b175c113ab
  8. I just don't want to see him play for another team.
  9. We should have grabbed Hoyer.
  10. Sorry, but it was on Brady's cell phone.
  11. That wasn't a deal. That would've made Goodell lose significant face. If you are negotiating a deal you have to let the other side appear have a win as well
  12. For a guy trying to protect his legacy he is making this whole thing a lot worse. Someone needs to sit him down and talk some sense into him. He is making this into a major talking point about his career.
  13. Current player has to be Marshawn Lynch. Too bad we didn't have Rex then, I think Rex could have found a way to make him happy in Buffalo.
  14. Here's hoping that they are correct and that a ruling will be made before Wednesday. Hopefully Brady finally realizes that the more he fights this the bigger the impact this will have on his legacy. My guess is he'll get 2 weeks and accept it under the guise that he is doing so under protest for the best interests of the team and the NFL. However the NFL needs to get the the place where it can handle cheating/behavorial issues for owners, refs and players without it becoming a soap opera.
  15. Agreed. I'm also looking forward to see Hogan in this offense as well.
  16. Punching a 16 year old is not exactly being tough. The great teams have toughness but also discipline. You want O-Line to have control over their emotions. I don't see how this guy makes that any more likely. Firing his @ss will be the best way to make this a positive. Then this could help people like Richie, who will remember what life on the outside of the NFL was like and how lack of control made that happen.
  17. Looking at your list I'm guessing whatever is in your blood would show up in a drug screening test.
  18. If our QB situation turns out ok this year I will have to agree with you.
  19. I think he already is asleep. He's clearly dreaming.
  20. Absolutely hope we face the Pats without Brady. Two reasons: 1. Much greater chance of beating them without Brady 2. I want the record to show him as the guy suspended for 4 games for cheating and lying about it.
  21. MSN has us ranked dead last at QB. No way we are worse off than the Browns. We are going to surprise the heck out of people again this year. http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/men-under-center-ranking-each-nfl-teams-qb-situation-for-2015/ss-BBjMlU2
  22. Who cares. I'd prefer the disrepect ant the opportunity to prove them wrong. Personally I see the Dolphins fading away as they always do in the last few weeks of the season. I'm more worried about the Jets.
  23. Honestly the kindest thing we can do is to release him and let him try and find a new home elsewhere. He's clearly a distant #4 on the depth chart and our coaches already have their work cut out with EJ. Tuel is a good guy but he is not a solution for us now or anytime soon.
  24. Fred deserves another year. He has earned it and he still plays at a high enough level. Like other posters have said if we cut him he would be snapped up by the Pats. I have already seen Thurman in a Dolphins uni, I really would hate to see Fred as a Pat.
  25. They cant cut Fred. I don't see Hogan getting cut, much more likely to be Goodwin.
