2020 NFL Free Agents
loveorhatembillsfan4life replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll be curious to see what Happens with Poyer. I don’t think he is at the point where he should be paid as a premier safety. What does Poyer think his value is. I’m sure Beane will throw out a number and planting in his head of finishing off what he helped start building 2 years ago. Maybe Poyer loves Buffalo to take a bit less. -

I agree. He seems like he would be a good fit In this teams mould, he’s getting out of clunker situation in Cinci. If medical says he’s good to go. I’m all for this at a reasonable price. -
Week 17: Jets at Bills

I think the Pats could miss out on a first round bye with a loss and Kc win. If there was nothing on the line I wonder if Belicheck would treat it differently? I don’t know even know where I fall on this. I see the value of keeping your guys healthy but I also see the value in wanting to try and be sharp as possible for next week. It will be interesting to see how it plays out tomorrow. -
Falcons bringing back Quinn & GM

This is exactly what I think our organization is becoming one the best in the NFL. -
I still can’t see the NFL wanting this clown show overshadowing the playoffs.

I think we also have to remember we are in year 3 of this defense. Early in the season it was mentioned by Micah Hyde and Frazier that their cohesiveness of being together for 3 years now let’s them play at a confident level. They can now disguise coverages, play at a high level and more freely because of the communication and just trusting what each other is doing out there. Which is where I’m at with this Offense. Considering it’s been revamped from the offensive line up almost in its entirety since last year coupled with the fact that you have John Brown saying this is one of the most complicated offenses he has played in.. then I can temper my expectations for this season. I consider this year one with this offense. We are young at some key positions. My expectations are that next season there has to be continued progression from now to then. Another year of playing together, knowing what each other can do. Being healthy most of this season should prove valuable in getting that continued game experience with each other. If our offense can take it up a notch like I expect than I really believe next year and beyond is where our run begins. That’s been Beanes’and Mcd plan all along. To set us up to be a regular contender every year from here on out. Right now from an organizational roster standpoint we are probably ahead of 2/3 of the teams in the league. Which leaves 9 teams roughly not including us that are in our way from our first elusive title. Some of these teams have aging players. Some are stronger on one side of the ball than the other. I think finding that level of balance is crucial. Baltimore is a good example because they can score and play defense. Kc can score but not play defense. I think we are striving for that balanced approach...and we are very close. Our team will have hurdles to overcome. Next years schedule is going to be difficult. But I don’t think Mcd lets them lose sight and focus. His coaching is why we are in most games and has been consistently recognized by his peers for doing the job he has.

I finally was able to catch the last bit of the game as I was on my way home from an Xmas party. Josh had one heck of a last drive making huge throws left and right into tight windows. Almost pulled it off. A little too Much heat to Knox. Three plays never really had a shot with qb designed run, and two plays where the line got blown up.

Should The Bills Bench Alexander?
loveorhatembillsfan4life replied to Dr.Sack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It’s a good question. Alexander has had some problems on special teams as well this season. I don’t think we do. We have rolled with him all year and I still prefer his veteran presence out there. Playoffs are not the time to pull a flutie Johnson move. -
Rational Thoughts After The Patriots
loveorhatembillsfan4life replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice Summary, As rough as the first half went, much media and even a few of my pats friends came away with positive praise for Allen. Unlike some of our own fan base lol He played a solid game against a top defense. I am excited that we finally have a Quarterback who is a playmaker. The first Touchdown was a beautiful throw. The throw to Smoke basically moving backwards with a flick of the wrist-50 yards on a dime. That was just crazy and such a nice change from our QB's of the past 20 years. I am glad he's ours! NE has an advantage in coaching. They did some great stuff like bringing in a LB to lead the way for Sony. I think some of the Bills players themselves mentioned how hard it was to recognize whether it was a pass or run. I am still not sure what our game plan was? We seemed happy to sit back and let Brady throw into our zone all day. Tre should have been shadowing Edleman all day. I really thought our D was going to head into this and lay a physical beating. Your right about no moral victories and we will always be in the shadows to NE until we go out and win of these games. Maybe however we were due for a bit of a letdown-not in the sense that we were not up for the game or prepared. But we have had a pretty tough stretch of games starting with Baltimore. All physical games. A bit of relief that no matter what we were in. I think we have a good thing with Dawson, enough so that I wouldn't make a TE a priority in the offseason. Another solid WR in draft, free agency is a must. I think Cole and Beasley would flourish with one more. If we want to play a lot of 3 wr sets, I am not sure Mackenzie, Foster, Roberts are really cutting it. We our going to need our best gameplans for WC weekend. No need to hold anything back and let our guys loose. Hopefully we get a lot of rest and be ready to go! -
Week 17: Jets at Bills

We might as well sit Taron Johnson because I am sure someone will come up with brilliant strategy of having him covering Hopkins if we play the Texans Wild Card. -
To go a bit further I criticize Josh on the throws to Knox in the end zone. Going forward he needs to continue to work on nailing this down. Actually just to make you all happy I’m not going to get bent out shape about missing a seven yard pass anymore. I’ll scream but move on. I’m not going to start a new thread and call for a new quarterback change every time he misses a short one. I will gladly accept those misses. Because as long as we are in the game we have a chance. He showed me so much with two throws this past game that defenses have to absolutely respect. He chucked it 50 yards on a dime with a flick of a wrist. That’s playmaker ability. So in the spirit of Christmas, If you are truly unhappy and have an infatuation with Lamar or Mahomes or Kyle Allen, Brandon Allen, Duck please go and follow them. Many of you propped them up big time this season. If you want to stick on board , please do. Josh will be here for two more years at least and so will I.

We have ten wins this season and possibly 11. Been in every game and have turned the corner in year 3. We are set up for sustainable future success. It’s been such a fun season to enjoy for a change from the past 20 years. The only negativity has come from this board about our second year quarterback week in and week out. Our qb has 27 Total td to 9 ints. He is on the path to have a lot of success in this league. Most of us objective fans have no problem criticizing when warranted and we will. But again we realize this is year 2 and expect to see even more improvement next year. It sucks some of you haven’t been able to enjoy this season and only come to chat when we lose, never hear a peep during a win..

A chance to go back to Nashville? We had a lot of fun there and was a quick flight down! -
What do you make of the lack of defensive pressure? Do you think it was game plan? Like clearly Brady this season has not been good when pressured. It really frustrates me that we just let him sit back. I also agree that Tre should have taken Edelman all day. The other wr’s like Harry etc have really shown nothing all season. Do you think we had some carryover fatigue from Pittsburgh?
