I would like us to come out with a few short to mid range completions to start. We seemingly run, run pass and then punt. I think Josh gets rolling if he can get into a rhythm early. Maybe a play action to start and try to utilize the middle of our field. Get some tight ends involved. We need to move the ball first drive and get some points. We can't keep starting 3 and out.

I agree with this. I didn't see Lamar look that much better. Both defenses made each QB look like 2 year's to me. Our defense played flat out amazing but we had a major breakdown that led to a long td. Their d was pretty solid right up to the final breakup pass.

I actually think our D made Lamar look pretty much like Josh for the most part. Difference being we got caught on a huge breakdown that let to a very long td. Also had some nice creative playcalling on that td to Snead. They really didn’t have any breakdowns like that on their side of the ball. It was a really defensive game. Our offense is not a world beating offense at this point but had been rolling pretty good the last few weeks.

Your absolutely right. The Ravens d has been really good flustering a lot of qbs who have been around. Josh knows he has to better and that’s what I love. No excuses, he will learn from it and grow better for it.

I was fooling around with the simulator and worst case scenario with a win only against the Jets I couldn’t find a way we didn’t get in...just different seedings in play. on a side note I think we take care of business in Pitt.

Thanks yes that’s what I meant. I think head to toe we have a better overall roster than the Steelers. It may be close but I think we squeak it out.

I think the offense does enough. The duck stops here with Mcd. We should expect our d to make life miserable like we did to Denver.

It’s interesting you mention the segments. I heard somewhere Baltimore’s philosophy is to play four downs for ten yards instead of three. And it really opens up their play calling. We had plenty of time like you mentioned. Questionable calls I guess. The coaches need to be on their A game as well when playing such a well coached team on the other end Like the evil empire Belichick himself says you looks for any of their weaknesses and exploit them. All the highlights I saw of San Frans success running the ball came off tackle. Running away from the initial beef up front and taking on their lb. Not running Straight into the meat of their D. So why do we keep pounding up the middle? I Almost feel like we do the exact opposite at times by not attacking the weak points. It may not work but keep plugging. The pats block punt on us was all coaching and picking up some tendency of us missing a beat somewhere. I’m sure it was something small we were showing all year with our punt teams. We seem to be a correct the issue after it happens team... I think we come out looking much better at Pittsburgh, plus we are a road team anyway!

Spot on. Its a bummer because we had a still had a shot despite the miscues. I also think back to play calling those last four downs. Daboll needs to put us in the best plays he has on tap. I didn’t like the first down run. I think considering how physical they were up front the chances we break one was low. Thought it was a waste of a down. The Second play Josh was rolling left I think. It was just a strange play all around but rolling left Effectively takes half the field out for play. I can’t remember what the play was on third down but I remember not liking it. Fourth down was a good call in my mind , it was a good throw , one on one with Smoke. and the defender made a good play on. I like Knox and think he can be the guy but he needs to step up on some of those plays. At this level those should not have been drops.

Where as today the Ravens were the better team, as well as Pitt has been playing I do think we are the better team and should take this. Our d should give them fits.

The Ravens were pretty physical and definitely owned the line of scrimmage. I think at some point everyone on Our offense probably failed in their individual matchups. I think it was a good test. I think it will be good focus this week going to pit. I don’t think we are a better team than the Ravens at this point.

I see next week being just like Denver. We will put up enough points and I think our D will do more than enough to make their Qb look pedestrian.

It’s the only thing carrying their team. Their offense is a mess. I don’t understand why any team lets Edelman beat you. After him nobody.

As much as I hate the pats their special teams are about 100 times better than us. They just make plays.
