Just my thoughts because everyone has good points here. He had a great career and still can be a good get for some team. But when a guy who has been so good for so long suddenly gets a bit shaky to the point where I don’t entirely trust him anymore I think it’s time to move on. He has just not been as good as his first year here. The last 2 years were pretty consistent with each other but still a dropoff from 2017. In all fairness to him I don’t think the injury he sustained helped his cause. The family sounds awesome for what they contributed to the community. There is a risk to go with Bass, but I know he at least has the leg to give us a shot beyond 50. And who’s to say he won’t be as effective or better from under 50? I can’t say for certain Hauska makes a kick anymore that Bass can’t make. check back with me at playoff time lol

I think limiting our range with Hauschka at 50 directly impacts us in game plans. Now we are most likely punting or having to go for it. I go with the big leg. Just my opinion .

Very true. I agree about McKenzie and his value. And yes like you say if they have a guy in mind other than him to fill the role he could be out. I wouldn’t risk J Brown in any circumstance, cause stupid things happen out there. like Brandon says it’s great to be at a point where you have to make some tough roster decisions! the top four are a lock. Do we roll with six or seven? Foster I think is effectively done and if we believe McKenzie value is low, thats another who could be out.

I think Roberts brings a sense of stability to our return game that doesn’t make me cringe that someone else is going to mess it up. I’d be surprised if he gets cuts. I think we possibly over value Mackenzie if anything.

I’m ready to roll with Bass. We need his leg. If they want to keep Hauska and can find a spot for him I’m fine with that too.

I think he is probably one the odd men out. . I was hoping after 2018 him and Josh could recapture some of that magic but it just never really materialized.
