  1. Are you trying to say Peterman could do the same should Turbitzky look good? Turbitzky was a first round prospect. Peterman never was. Turbitzky looked good in the pre-season. Peterman looked average at best for a rookie and that was mostly against third stringers and guys currently not on rosters.
  2. You mean beating teams like the Broncos who will likely be a bigger threat for the wild card then the Bengals? Do you think Peterman puts up the best QB rating against a Broncos defense in four years like Taylor did? We were never going 12-0 in conference. RELAX.
  3. In the process we trust. We couldn't even keep track of the number of bad personnel decisions made in the off-season and pre-season. But here we are at 3-1 coming off our biggest back to back wins since the drought started.
  4. i agree with your overall post but scumbag is a little harsh no? Sammy might not have been the best team player. May have gotten in a twitter feud with fans. But scumbag?
  5. After last weeks game I am already expecting a playoff birth this season. Should we believe that they will deliver? Get back to me after the result of this next game. Pretty much. With the way our secondary is playing I'd say they are better than all three of those teams. And two of those teams are known to have really good secondaries so that says a lot about our own through 4 games. And of course Hughes, Lawson and Williams have been playing at a high level up front. This is basically the same for the Patriots they just throw more overall. White leads the Pats in receptions and Gronk would in all likelihood be #2 in receptions and #1 in yards for the Patriots if he didn't miss the last game. Still early in the season but so far signs point to the bar being low. Lot's of inconsistent play in the AFC. Could be a 9-7 record gets a team in. Plus we already hold the tiebreaker over Denver which is a huge plus since they would be our number one competition for a wild card at this point.
  6. The way he missed the 56 yard FG was sort of inexcusable. Thing never had a chance.
  7. If they lose tonight when is the last time the Pats had a losing record after 5 games? Before the Brady era?
  8. This next game is a big one. Honestly if we can get this road game against the Bengals I see 10-6 as our new floor with a chance at a 12-4 or even 13-3 season. I'm expecting a loss this weekend for a variety of reasons but it will be a close game. Could go either way. Last weekend I was actually expecting an upset at Atlanta.
  9. They said Romo only missed two weeks in 2014 with the same fracture. That Raider game is still a month away.
  10. Would be great to get Lawson and Glenn back for this one to offset our newest losses from the Atlanta game. I'm actually less optimistic about this game then I was the Atlanta game. Win or lose this is going to be an ugly game for both teams. My gut is leaning towards a loss but I'm also seeing 2-1 over the next three so in the long term we should be good.
  11. O.P's logic is ridiculous. The loss by New England eliminated the tie-breaker all together and gave us the outright division lead. I hope they continue to lose to NFC teams so we stay ahead of them in the standings.
  12. If the defense continues to play at this level and the offense doesn't make mistakes 12-4 is not far fetched at all.
  13. Agreed. It will be extremely disappointing if we lose all four of those games. Yeah we could still make the playoffs in doing so. But we need to win at least one of those four to even think we can compete with the top of the conference.
  14. You don't get a home playoff game with a wild card spot. It's only right that we would break the drought with a home game at New Era. One way or another we got to stay ahead of the Pats. We've already beaten Denver so if Denver can beat the Pats that will be a plus. If we can beat the Bengals next week while the Pats lose later in the season to the Steelers that would be another plus.
  15. It's a play that every single team in the league runs around the goal line.
  16. With the way Zay has the dropsies, we actually could have a need for a guy beyond just the month that Matthews will be out. Not sure who we could get though. I guess you would knock on the door of some 0-4 teams.
  17. The more things change the more they stay the same for the Browns. As bad as we have been the last 17 years, and that is pretty bad, I could not imagine being a Browns fan. They seemingly start 0-3 or 0-4 every since. We are used to our season being over by Thanksgiving. Their season is over by October.
  18. Agreed. Actual talent on this team and a lot of the talent has been here since year one with Rex. What we have lost with Woods, Goodwin and Watkins on offense we have easily gained on defense in the secondary with Hyde, Poyer, White and Gaines. The new coaching staff and going back to the 4-3 has made all the difference so far. This team could slip up against the Bengals but big picture, I don't see them losing 2 out of the next 3. One way or another I feel they will at least win 2 of the next 3.
  19. What is it about Buffalo and CB's? We draft them high and they all have success. All the way back to Winfield. Leodis was probably the least succesful of the highly drafted CB's. But he wasn't exactly a bust either. Great to see White off to a fantastic start. Now will he be on the team for more than his rookie contract?
  20. You need to factor in that we don't call the same run plays with Tolbert. And why would we? Tolbert is strictly a north to south runner. If we only called north to south running plays with McCoy I'm sure he would likely have a much better average in the last game.
  21. Yarbrough has looked decent so far in his limited time. Plus you would think the $100 million dollar man in and Shaq out would still be a net positive for a defense. At least you would hope. Not even close to reality as we know. Shady literally should have had zero or negative rushing yards in the last game. He made chicken salad out of chicken you know what against Denver. Bills line has been allowing the least amount of yards gained before contact. Good news is Atlanta defense is giving up the third most yards per rush in the league at 4.8 I think the run game gets going this week. It will at least be a whole lot better than it was the last two weeks.
  22. Yep. And Dunn is a perfect example. An excellent football player who's been retired for a while now and somehow NOW is the first time I am hearing about how generous he has been over his career?
  23. Hopefully Denver is not a playoff team because we will take their spot in the playoffs.
