  1. How's about we stop penalizing in yards, and start penalizing players. Instead of moving the ball backwards and forwards, take players off the field.
  2. Hackery at its finest. Here's an idea. Maybe McD was pissed at himself for taking his first L against the bradyless Pats in a game he should have won. Maybe he's not afraid of the Hoody like he's supposed to be.
  3. Well it's because they are TOUGH and PHYSICAL. Not a soft, finesse D like Buffalo. A D that is TOUGH and PHYSICAL would never get pimp caned by Indy.
  4. Ohhhhh I can't wait for this game. What a chance to send NE tumbling from a presumptive #1 Seed and Division champs to "In The Hunt" JAGs fighting for a wildcard.
  5. I'm out Christmas shopping. How's the OL look?
  6. I get it, this isn't an awful conference loss coming off a bye, it's a very special kind of Pats win!
  7. If I were a Pats fan, and I had watched Devin McCourty and Dont'a Hightower whiff on their assignments and give up a 67 yard TD to ice a game...well I'd look for distractions too.
  8. Yeah but you gave up 226 rushing yards and lost...coming off a bye. To a QB with six completions, and one of them was to you.
  9. Beats me. One of the Staples of the E-P system is receivers reading the defence on their own and running their route trees accordingly. See a hole in the zone, run to a hole in the zone and show the QB your numbers.
  10. I thought the same thing. When he rolled sideways, went ridgid and got alligator arms, I knew something was very, very wrong and my heart dropped. And you know it's really bad when they leave the helmet, but unscrew the facemask.
  11. Terry has to go to bat for Bills Mafia of Kazakhstan. They deserve that much. Sending the Jets to pimp the NFL in England is like sending Watford over to hawk the Premier League.
  12. Yeah. Measurements slow the game down, but 20 penalties a game are just fine.
  13. The game needs fewer, better Zebras. Rugby has more players on a bigger field, and they get by with 4 on-field officials, only one of them actually calls fouls. That and all rules decisions are broadcast live, to the public as part of the game.
  14. Tre must be powerfully mad to be anything other than soft spoken. Good on him.
  15. Yup. And guys who aren't up to scratch should be playing for their jobs, and know it.
  16. I'm here for the correct use of an umlaut over the a.
  17. He's here, he's there, and he fails everywhere Bobby Hart, Bobby Hart!
  18. Brett Kollman did a great breakdown of how NE stuffed the Rams in the Superbowl that's relevant. If NE's DL win their blocks quickly enough, they will show a false leverage to the RB. The RB reads the false leverage of the block and makes a cut to where a hole should open. Instead they end up cutting into the teeth of the defense as the DL sheds their blocks and LBs fill in. I think that's what Judon was doing, but Moss always, always tries to get north and south ASAP regardless of what's happening.
  19. I reject all of these arguments! The only way to make this team better is for me to burn all my gear, throw beer cans at my TV, and have everyone over the rank of ballboy lined up and shot. If the team doesn't win the SB, then the whole organization needs to be blown up. In between committing organizational suicide every year, we must also worship NE and possibly Miami. I demand wild overreactions to provide some kind of instant gratification! Rabble!
  20. Whoever is the RBs coach can go too. Our RBs run the ball into our linemen so much it's got to be coached into them to dive back inside. Either that or they can't read their blocks.
  21. I've made my peace with this year being whatever it turns out to be. It's up to McBeane to make choices that determine whether this is the end of something or the start of something. The faults in this team are obvious. We got so wrapped up in this new era of football that we can't run the ball, and we can't stop the run. On its own, that's just a cliche. But we're soooooo bad at it that teams can drop 7 or 8 into coverage AND get home with 3 or 4 rushers AND defend the run at the same time. And that's how you waste all this skill position talent and Josh's rookie deal years. At minimum, the OL personnel and coaching need an overhaul, and Daboll needs to go out behind the woodshed.
  22. These threads are insane.
