Are the Patriots now the drought-era Bills?
Coffeesforclosers replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would the vets and opt outs come.back? There's no reason to take BB's ass chewing film sessions and Patriot Way BS if they aren't a contender. And they are not a contender let alone a dynasty anymore. Retire, or go somewhere else and get paid what the market will bear. -
Are the Patriots now the drought-era Bills?

I predict a dramatic decrease in the number of "Brady" and "Bruschi" jerseys at the Ralph, and a dramatic increase in the number "Allen" and "Diggs" jerseys at Foxboro. Remember, this is the fan base that would walk out of Foxboro before halftime if B&B were down two scores. -
Bills sign Brandon Beane to contract extension!!!

Maybe, just maybe, there's a dynasty starting here. A real one with multiple Lombardis. -
Week 14: Steelers at Bills on SNF

Agreed. Josh still has some work to do on eating sacks and living to fight another day. -

Watt is going to make his plays, just like Bosa did. As long as they aren't turnovers, we should be alright. A sack is just a TFL, and this offense has no trouble producing chunk plays. -
Playbooks staying and leaving with Daboll
Coffeesforclosers replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why would Daboll want to leave? How freaking good are him and Josh? I know coordinators are supposed to become head coaches, but why not stay here with a franchise QB and build a dynasty? -
The josh haters are out in force today

The GMFB crew we're raving about him, so we're the NBC sports guys, and Shannon Sharpe was in awe of some of what he did. Nick Wright just needs a hug and some clicks. He's got nothing but to troll. -
Post Game thread Bills @ 49ers
Coffeesforclosers replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love how Dabolls game plan targeted the strength of the 9ers defense. Their whole scheme fell apart once the learned they couldn't hold up against the pass. Didn't matter if they played man or zone or mix, Saleh was exposed last night. -
San Fran appears to be poor at pass protecting

I've got the feeling that the D we're seeing now is what McD and Frazier would have installed in a normal off-season. Shortened training time and Covid crap meant they had to water things down and rehash last year's schemes. -
Week 13: Bills at 49ers on MNF (in Arizona)

Credit to the excellence of the training/medical staff and Pegs investment in the facilities. The teams discipline too; look at Baltimore's Covid gutted roster, and we're damn close to a full bill of health entering the post season. -
NFL Power Rankings Week 13

Ha! Sure, but I'd be alright with the bills being the worst 11-0 team ever. -
Week 12 Post Game thread Bills vs Chargers
Coffeesforclosers replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are only two rules that really matter in the NFL: 1. Good teams find ways to win. Bad teams find ways to lose. 2. You are what your record says you are. That's it. We saw why the Chargers are 3-8, and why the Bills are 8-3. The Chargers couldn't find a way to seize the game when the Bills were trying to give it away. That's because the Defense had a plan, and the will and the talent to see it through. SD had talent, but no plan due to slappy leadership. -
Lions fire HC Matt Patricia and GM Bob Quinn

Given the Ford family's track record, I'm looking forward to new Lions HC Josh McDaniels. That should keep Detroit the clown car franchise of the NFL. -
When the Patriot Way goes wrong
Coffeesforclosers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My bad. I should have noted that if you think a lombardi and a no questions asked trip to the hall of fame is worth $750,000 and a 1st, then the Patriot Way is the way for you. -
When the Patriot Way goes wrong
Coffeesforclosers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's probably because Flores is the first Patriot Way imitator to realize the difference between management and leadership. When his fellow Patriot OC designed a complex offense that nobody on the team understood and wouldn't change it, Flores canned him and brought in Chan. My guess is that was after the OC did the whole thing where he tore down his players in public and by name for not working hard enough or whatever. Flores realized he had to earn respect to get production, and to earn respect he had to understand his players as people. Patricia is learning this lesson too little too late per the article, but Flores didn't repeat the mistake of walking into a new organization convinced it was his way or the highway. And anybody that didn't like it wasn't smart or dedicated enough to understand the brilliance of what he was doing. -
Week 12: Chargers at Bills

I like this stat. Though I hope the D has improved over the bye, every game is a shootout until they turn up. -
When the Patriot Way goes wrong
Coffeesforclosers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Patriot Way consists of: 1. Tom Brady 2. Ten feet of BS 3. Bill Belichick 4. 30 feet of BS 5. A bunch of kool aid drinking assistants chanting "Do Your Job!" -
Week 12: Chargers at Bills
Coffeesforclosers replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's the chargers though. They find ways to be good and lose. The stripped interception return against NE in the AFC title game for one. And the 2010 Chargers who were statistically the most dominant offense and defense in the league, but lost 7 games due to historically awful Special Teams play and missed the post season. -
Week 12: Chargers at Bills

Chargers fans seem like the most confident 3-7 fanbase ever. That said their take on their season is that Herbert plays out of his mind, then Anthony Lynn decides to run the ball for the sake of running the ball. Then Anthony Lynn makes a shoddy situational football decision and/or shows poor clock management and they lose by a possession. Rinse, repeat to a 3-7 record. Herbert actually scares me the least in this. McD and Frazier found ways to limit Mahomes and force Russell Wilson into mistakes. Philip Rivers used to sit in the pocket, get the ball out in two seconds, and throw about 20 7-yard completions in a row. Those were long afternoons.
