Jets fire GM Mike Maccagnan, name Adam Gase interim GM
Commish replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the video from Gase's press conference today. What about this guy makes anyone think he's a good communicator or leader? Terrible body language: slouching, not looking at questioners, hat pulled down over his eyes. He'd better be an offensive genius to overcome this attitude, but I haven't seen that either: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4KoW_wzuH0 -

Bills sign TE Jake Fisher to 1-year deal
Commish replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was just thinking about that conversation reading this thread. Actually it was Chris Brown on with Murphy, and I remember thinking that Chris Brown was going out of his way to say nice thing about Jason Croom [a Peugula daughter's boyfriend thing?], but then he has nothing but positive things to say about all the players - which is why I don't find Brown at all interesting. Murphy and Tasker will both gently call out Bills players/poor play. -
Still under $400 out of Rochester, one-connection - doesn't seem to bad.

OTAs Phase 1: Let The Process Begin

Nsekhe is monstruously large in that clip - seems like a good dude off the field, too. -
'Buffalo is very, very interested' in Matt Paradis
Commish replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Paradis grew up on a ranch in Idaho. Continues to go back home to work on the ranch. Small-town kid. Sounds like Josh Allen - Buffalo should be a good culture fit for Paradis. https://broncoswire.usatoday.com/2018/02/10/matt-paradis-denver-broncos-center-idaho-ranch/ -
Steve Tasker is horrible on One Bills Live
Commish replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm a fan of 1 Bills Live, Murphy particularly, and appreciate that Murphy and Tasker actually enjoy each other's company, but the first hour can be brutal. I'll start listening at 1pm. They save all their guests - and they get a lot of good national guests from a variety of "takes" on the Bills - for the second and third hours. It's a matter of taste, I imagine: a show for glass half-full people. -

The Super Bowl is all about the food, and after a few beers, I don't pay too much attention to the game, anyway. Until the Bills get into one...

Just got a stadium survey from the Bills
Commish replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You can fill out the survey even if you don't get it emailed to you. Here's one link based on a google search, I'm sure there are others: https://www.whec.com/news/buffalo-bills-survey/5204151/ -
Week 17 -- rooting for a win or loss?
Commish replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have Allen throw short to medium passes w/crossing patterns the entire game. Win, lose or draw, doesn't matter. -
Allen's going to get injured doing what he's doing: trying to single-handedly carry a team w/o an o-line, running game or WRs. Given that this year is now about developing Allen, why not tell him: stay in the pocket on every pass play, and either complete the pass or throw it away before you get hit. No designed runs, no scrambles to avoid sacks. It gives him the practice he needs in the pocket. Granted, very likely to lose all three games going forward with this strategy, but the best thing for Allen? - I think so.
-
Me neither - listen pretty regularly, never once heard him hang up on someone. And is he a "corporate shill" - the guy' s salary is paid for by the Bills, that's no secret. Given who's paying his check, his coverage is skewed positive but fairly balanced, but he - gently - criticizes players and decisions frequently.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - Bills Still Have A Lot to Work On
Commish replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The good news is that Allen's a smart dude who learns from his mistakes - next time, he'll set up right, his receivers will have worked on what to do/where to go in a scramble - and hopefully, it's in a game where the end of Q4 really matters, i.e. not Bill-Dolphins 2018. -
Chad Pennington on 1 Bills Live had the following thought: Allen's next step is to learn to be a three dimensional thrower, that is, learning to put arc on the ball to get it over a defender that's immediately between the QB and his receiver.
