  1. Josh Allen was just on Murphy's show and said, about the last two passes, he had never had to throw a pass like that in college, short dump-offs...everything was medium and long distance. He didn't know whether to throw them overhand or underhand?
  2. and from Joe B. https://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-7-observations-from-2018-buffalo-bills-training-camp-day-1
  3. Really dislike sports reporting with hot take perspectives, e.g. Cover One. A much more positive and nuanced perspective from a professional: https://wgr550.radio.com/articles/news/allen-looks-solid-early-inconsistent-late
  4. Very poor interface with Android Auto - unless the program is up and running on the phone, Android Auto won't play it - even tho Radio.com is an approved choice. Bring us back to TuneIn!
  5. Some teams have rookies report up to a week early, some - like the Bills - have them report same day as veterans. So what's the catch? I have to believe that by having rookies report the same day as the veterans, McDermott is allowed to catch up time with them earlier or later in the pre-season schedule.

  7. Can't get the app to work with Android Auto.

  9. CFL just started! https://press.cfl.ca/espn-and-cfl-announce-entire-2018-season-broadcast-schedule
  10. 50s, but I only moved to upstate in 1997 and became a Bills fan a few years later. Lean years, I admit, but a lot of fun...
  11. I've got a Tre jersey, first jersey I've ever purchased. Now a Harrison Phillips jersey is looking pretty tempting as well ...
  12. I just heard Schopp's quip about Allen's twitter controversy and whether that was what made Allen totally Buffalo. Comes across as a poorly thought out cheap-shot, that hung there without comment from Sal and Bulldog, and one Schopp had the good sense not to pursue.
  13. Lawson vows to raise his game: http://www.rochesterfirst.com/sports/nfl/nfl-buffalo/here-comes-shaq-lawson-20/1197409375
  14. Absolutely right - very few outright ignorant or abusive posters [see Jets and Dolphins forums, in particular], but the quality of the forum and the posts is much better than I've seen elsewhere - many very clever and/or funny posts.
  15. What's the leverage of the league, though, to force a team to upgrade a stadium? Other than having the other owners snubbing the Pegulas at the owners' meetings cocktail parties, who cares what the league thinks.
  16. I like New Era the way it is - never once felt that bells and whistles would add to the experience. In fact, the "old school" atmosphere of the place is one of it's charms - very Buffalo, in a good way.
  17. Yep, pretty funny to review the "expert" in hind-sight: on Carson Wentz: "slow to read the field" [sound familiar] Eagles gave up to much for him [sound familiar], Paxton Lynch and Cardale Jones both higher-rated prospects. Time will tell, but I'd take McBean's opinions over Ledyards.
  18. By design, Allen threw hardly any screens or bubbles - not because he can't, but because his coaches asked him to throw intermediate and deep routes. That accounts in large part for the lower percentage completion. Mayfield, in contrast, was all about the short pass - much easier to get that gaudy 70% completion rate.
  19. Excellent write-up - you put more thought and time into this one piece than Schopp and Bulldog [or White and Simon] have put into QB evaluations in the past year.
  20. I agree - haters gonna hate. Guy's super likeable, to boot - a great QB? Ask again in three years - same can be said for all the QBs.
  21. We also entered the draft in the "unfortunate'' and unexpected position of having made the play-offs, hence pick #22 - only so much you can do with the cards you're dealt and the math invovled. That said, I think a move up is still a possibility.
  22. I could believe McDermott and Beane think Peterman has more potential than most QBs in this draft. - they're in a far better position to tell than any "expert" on this board. I could also believe that a smart front office would leak [mis]information about QBs currently on the team or not, if it helped to get the person they wanted in the draft.
