  1. I'm not sure there was any rage... I am out-of-state, so I normally listen to replays. Really like all the others...Howard, Jeremy, Bulldog, Sal, Paul, Nate... Schopp's schtick is deliberate, we're talking about the prick, right?
  2. I'm well aware of this. Regrettably, this tarnishes my otherwise fine record of crafting angst ridden Bills screeds with proper spelling and grammar. Would have edited it, but someone quickly mentioned the error, and I enjoyed the variety of replies citing my gaffe.
  3. Schopp talks Bills in the same manner that one might discuss, say, constipation. There is no media personality, even on the national level, that goes to the extremes Schopp does in dismissing ANYTHING of a positive nature with the Bills and especially Josh Allen whom he despises. Schopp, that insufferable douch bag, used to have ex-QB now fine analyst Dan Orlovsky on the program regularly when Dan was down on Josh Allen. Now, Orlovsky is praising Allen and the douche bag is dismissing it with the notion that "nothing in preseason means anything" and no assessment is possible. With deepest apologies to all the haters, Debbie Downers, and the like, it must be said that Allen is meeting the eyeball test this meaningless preseason. It's OK to be optimistic, it really is. Mike Schopp, please bottle the Bills acid and STFU. And Bulldog, grow a pair and stand up to this idiot once in a while.
  4. It's not ESPN. It's Mike the insufferable douche bag Schopp, who hate HATES the Bills.
  5. Yes. But you see, we're not talking about Tuel or Peterman.
  6. A confident Josh Allen could be very dangerous; he's armed. And the D looks like a pack of Velociraptors. They might be good. My Josh Allen thoughts from 15 months ago.
  7. It's theRalph. Not Ralph, thank you. And I am not in need of attention...I'm already famous. theRalph has given you all the explanation you require.
  8. Thank you for that. I'm in Michigan and was unaware of these! Just to clarify...I like Howard and Jeremy - they don't play the negativity card much at all. And Sal Capaccio is as good as they come.
  9. He could get injured on the first snap....but the crescendo of his game thru the end of the season tells me to expect great things in September.
  10. Ya, but Bills' news is a drug you need...even if the dealer cuts it with negative crap.
  11. For all it's faults, the NFL has certainly made the offseason nearly as exciting as fall Sundays. We now have superb awareness of the machinations of the league in March and April. And most Bills' fans are, I believe, very impressed with the free agent class. Many, like me, have already developed a confidence and trust in the McBeane braintrust. Can't wait for the draft! But the Debbie Downer Syndrome (DDS...which, like the dental reference, causes fear and pain) is still rampant with a group of fans, as well as with the afternoon drive personalities fielded by WGR550. If I hear once more that Josh Allen could be horrible next season, or that the wide receiver group is worse than last season, or that we really haven't improved the line..... I attribute this negative way of thinking about the team, in part, to the hangover of drought effects. I mean c'mon....even the national media is warming to the Bills' offseason. But when you are a radio personality and feel the need to constantly cover your ass because the team has disappointed in past years, I turn you off. And when you DDS sufferers post here...you will get slammed, like the one thread I just read. The OP had to turn off the comments lol. Take heart Bills Nation. It's OK, I promise, to have great hopes for the season. The Patriots are done. The end of the dynasty has arrived...not because Brady or Belicheat are retiring, not because of natural timing/cycles, or not even because of a sinkhole developing under Gillette Stadium. It because KARMA will throttle this team after their disgusting, bordering on sub-human owner got caught with his pants down enabling human trafficking. He will spin in the wind and you may join me in pointing and laughing. At him, and then his team. Out. -theRalph
  12. The TITLE is so very inspired. I just turned them off. Bulldog, one can tell, so very much wants to tell Schopp how really full of ***** he is. But he won't. He should just smack him once...it'd do them both worlds of good. Josh Allen is money. Anyone can see it. Shopp hates this. What can one expect from this new-age analytics twit that doesn't believe in culture.
  13. Just to put you in the mood during the lead up to Monday Night Football!! This is my guitar laden version of the REAL MNF theme that debuted in the 1975 season. https://soundcloud.com/stevesalter/heavyactionrev1
  14. Because it would’ve cost two first rounders. Beane would NEVER make that trade.
  15. Schopp has become so arrogant that it makes me wonder if its an act. But it's gotten worse over time, so it must be just an malodorous ego. Bulldog is even tiring of it. He'll B word slap Mike one of these days.
  16. Anything to make news. Anything. Carter is a buffoon.
  17. Way to cite an example (which means a specific instance, not more generalized drivel). lmao
  18. Untrue. He did that a cpl times early on. He also bit on misdirection a few times. He improved as his night progressed. Demonstrated great speed in getting to ball carriers. Made a number of tackles for short gain, and a nice tackle for loss. If you're going to analyze a player's performance, you should watch the game closely first. Edmunds is a good one.
  19. What dumb choices? Cite examples. Enough of these sweeping generalizations. Have you been watching??
  20. Not what I wrote. I said “to a degree”. Thx for reading!
  21. Time for another RalphRant: This post's title is insane...maybe. But it is no more insane than the negatively charged, analytics infested, 3 -13 cover-your-ass sort of drivel I've been hearing about the Bills' chances this season. This inanity has been largely present in the national press, but also in the local radio shows. A national guest on the Flagship the other day even went so far as to say the Bills are the worst team in the league. Of course this notion is espoused and spread like foul flatulence by the current crowd of drippy analytics geeks that have no index for heart and desire. Here are my five reasons the Bills will surprise the league this year, indeed returning to the playoffs... 1. Josh Allen will excel as a rookie QB. "Analytics" as a science is, to a degree, both valid and valuable. But past that degree, analytics isn't worth a hockey puck. There is the Eyeball Test and the "it" factor, which Allen passes and possesses, respectively. He came from a program that was under-talented, but this is of great value to him since he is already familiar with adversity. The other high QB picks don't share this attribute. He has progressed before the Bills' eyes, and he is obviously completely unafraid to aggressively throw anywhere on the field (in addition to being probably the most gifted prospect in a generation). The only reason there is no real QB separation yet is that they're all playing well. 2. Contrary to the annoying opinion of the local afternoon radio host, words like "process", "family", "DNA", "culture","chemistry", "got-your-back", "attitude" and "accountable" do indeed have a huge impact on the performance of a team. And Sean McDermott is a firm believer in this. It has much to do with the Bills playoff appearance last season. Even the Dalton throw. It's the Law of Attractions at work. The Bills outdo many, if not most other teams in this regard I believe. This was in evidence last season. How much better will it be this season? 3. The Bills' Defense is in it's Sophomore year, with a highly regarded DC, and stocked with inarguably more talent than last year's squad. There is no rational reason for them not to improve. The secondary, so important in today's NFL, may be amongst the best in the league. 4. This is meant for the receivers, but applies to all players. It is very, very difficult to make the NFL. Rex once said it's easier to win the lottery, which is accurate. This just in: The level of talent in the NFL is pretty even across the board. The players are all good. But there is more than talent, much more. There is team, intelligence, experience, coaching, and effort, and yes, character (see point 2). There is some speed at the receiver position now, but this notion that the Bills receiver group was so bad is crap. They're all good. An intelligent offense that throws into mismatches (check) and good and great throws (check) make receivers look great. Our receiving corps is just fine. This also applies to the O-Line. It's so much more about scheme and team. They're all good. 5. The point about the schedule difficulty is not a point at all, but more a surfeit of inane projections based on reputation and expection, not performance. These teams are all new and all different. We have to see the performance. The Bills will be a tough out on the road and will be a surprise early in the season. Shady is going to blossom into something we haven't seen before, simply because a pass offense exists. They're going to be better. Period. I do wonder what kind of odds one could get on that Allen bet...
