  1. I don't think the salary cap is an issue with the Tyrod decision. According to Spotrac, the Bills are $31 million under the cap including his contract. If the Williams brothers retire, that gives them another $10 million. Regardless, Tyrod's cap hit is $16 million this year, and if they move on, they will need to bring in someone else--a big name will cost more than a caretaker, so there could be a net cap gain or loss at the QB position. The salary cap is NOT the reason they will move on from TT.
  2. It's too bad they couldn't retain someone from the current group. I know people have thrown Lal's name out there, but I don't know if he's got any experience devising an offensive system?
  3. I got the sense from listening to Pegula and Whaley that they want to establish long term stability. TP realized he made a huge mistake and set the team back by hiring Rex (changing from a very successful D), and I believe he will let things play out for at least the next 4-5 years. Sure, Whaley can't have another major screw-up, but I think they don't want any more musical chairs.
  4. I'm referring to his record as gm. There are a lot of people who hated him before the PC.
  5. Snowden and Assange should get a lot of credit for exposing the men behind the curtain...
  6. 26, at this point Whaley has become a polarizing figure. You won't change the haters. Since Whaley will be in it for the long haul, time will tell who is right.
  7. DR, For as long as I can remember (I'm old now though so I can't remember much) I've never taken MSM news at face value, rather I've tried to decipher what the players in the background, the Deep State players, were trying to do through the media. A few years back I recall GG and I had a bit of a debate (imagine that) about one of the ME wars (who knows which one now), that it seemed there was a spy vs spy "fight" going on between those who wanted to invade and those who didn't. I think you are correct, we are in the middle of a doozy right now, as Trump and Flynn are a threat to one wing--the CIA, who has been waging the covert war in Syria. Here's a good piece related to the hacking that also gets into the deep state fisticuffs. Moon of Alabama
  8. Hah, I was just about to start a thread called "The Purge." No more falling asleep in meetings, no more slackers. We may see some names let go (or traded), but teams win. Just look at how the Pats routinely move on from players. It'll be an interesting offseason for sure.
  9. I blame it's vs its.....
  10. I guarantee McDermott will tell Crossman that every ST player better know ALL of the rules that could impact a play on special teams....
  11. McDermott really needs to get this right. It's safe to assume that the D will improve statistically where it matters, PPG, so any improvement will depend on the O maintaining its scoring ability. I don't want to see the opposite of what happened when Rex came in: The O improved, but Rex couldn't maintain the level of play that Schwartz's D provided.
  12. Jax will be an entertaining situation to watch from afar. I guarantee Marrone is already plotting to get rid of Coughlin...
  13. he does provide a good fall back option though if McCoy chooses elsewhere. I'd hate to see them start over on O...
  14. i looked through the thread this morning to see if anyone said something like this. 👍👍
  15. Just checked Super Bowl 50 stats. His D gave up only two drives that ended up in FGs. Everything else came from TOs.
  16. Not at his asking price, and that is the issue.
  17. as Whaley said in his presser, all of those things are negotiable with the new coach.
  18. I think his worst move of all would be signing FA OL C. Williams. On the best list I'd include drafting a starting RT in R7, Henderson.
  19. no, but anyone can twit.
  20. Marrone knows how to interview well. He coached pettine up for the Cleveland job too.
  21. he wants someone he can work with and his choice. He has to get it right or else. exactly.
  22. Please God, Let it be a purposeful joke...
  23. he did not know pegula would fire him that day.No one asked him if he knew Rex would be fired at the end of the season, or if he thought he would be fired. It's a true statement that Whaley did not know pegula would fire him after their one on one.
  24. in general or when Rex had the one-on-one with pegula?
  25. hmmm...wonder why they got rid of Mario then? He was a perfect fit. "Is he playing this down or not"
