  1. Yes, I think the offense will continue to get better and better, though Mathews will be a big loss for as long he's out. Good timing on getting Powell back this week.
  2. I was thin.king at the start of the game that the Bills looked like a very confident bunch today. They believe in themselves, and even more so now
  3. Peterman had a solid game too.
  4. One thing he is not, Rex Ryan. Thank god that idiot is gone.
  5. we'll find out just how good this D is against one of the best Os. Keeping them to 3 points in the RZ will determine the outcome.
  6. I doubt Castillo puts together the run game concepts in a vacuum, rather they are done by committee with Dennison. In other words, if there's an issue, Castillo will hear about it.
  7. the GM signs off on all contracts, and should damn well keep a strategic eye on the current and future situation, otherwise he won't be around for long...
  8. It's a road game against--maybe--the best team in the NFL; get your hopes up at your own peril... For me, I just "hope" to see them be competitive.
  9. It is an interesting story and a testament to his character. He came into the NFL as a 290 DE who ran the 40 in 5 seconds. The Skins eventually transitioned him to LB, so he lost the weight. It seems he was just coming into his own when he became an UFA, but the Skins couldn't afford him at that point. Injuries marred his stint with the Raiders, who gave him a pretty good contract. It seems the stars aligned for Zo when Rex/Whaley picked him up and Ragland/Lawson were injured. Good things happen to good people who work hard.
  10. One thing you can guarantee under this new regime, they will give it their all! I will be shocked if they hold Atlanta to 20 or less at home, so that means the O needs to take a step forward. They are getting better, but it might not be enough this weekend. To win, I think the Bills will need a score from their D and/or STs. They are playing the team that should've won the title last year, after all...
  11. i think it benefits the Bills to play them late. The O is still a work in progress, and the D will only get better.
  12. My take after the KC game was they don't have much of a pass rush, which then filters down to the secondary. Trading Chandler Jones was a big Belichick mistake...
  13. i expected 2-2 after next week. I'm getting more confident about the home games now. For example, I pegged the Raiders as a loss, but not the way they look tonight.
  14. The daunting schedule is starting to look a bit easier, a bit. I'm feeling better about their chances in all of their home games. defend the home turf, then a win a few on the road, and we have something here...
  15. Jax seems a bit Jeckyl and Hyde so far. I was surprised by the blowout win today and the blowout loss last week.
  16. Yes it was, and to also get KC's first in 2018. It doesn't bother me much that it might be 30th, what I like is they have 4 picks in the first 2 rounds, and ammo to move up for a 5th if they desire. I could see them drafting 5 players in the top 50 next year.
  17. Re the secondary, Interesting tidbit from the broadcast today about TWhite. Mentioned that pre-draft McDermott called White's coach to find out more about him, and the coach told McD he should take him. I assume McD pushed Whaley on the plan to trade back once he was sold on White.
  18. In addition to being a rook, i would think it has a lot to do with the slow progression of a new offense. Let's see what happens in the second half of the season.
  19. yep, first road game for Broncos. Should be a toss-up.
  20. Not sure if you were including the Bills in the statement about it being an off year for offenses, but I don't think they are an exception. Doesn't get any easier next week with Denver. I do think they will get better as the season progresses, but they sure have a tough schedule...
  21. I was thinking along these lines as well. They don't have anyone who requires being double teamed, as well as Being the go-to guy. That said, a little better throw and that's a TD...
  22. my expectation for the year was the Bills would be competitive in most games. Anything other than a close loss will change my view, for better or worse.
  23. both Ds are very good, so I think it is going to come down to which QB is able to make the most game-affecting plays. "It's just my opinion man..."
  24. The more I learn about this matchup, the only way I see the Bills winning is if Tyrod outplays Cam.
  25. i sure hope this happens. The guy tore it up at world juniors for Canada, then Bylsma puts him at wing.
