Jets fans think they lost because their team collapsed. Bills fans think it is because they forced a great comeback. If the results had been reversed, so would the fans perspectives. In reality the entire game was dominated by bad mistakes by both teams. Bills won the slop fest. Much better than losing the slop fest. But does not change the fact it was slop fest.

I feel as though on a purely factual basis, all of the stats add up to exactly a 1 point victory. But that is just me.

my thought exactly. On the 3 and 4 QB sweep where allen picked up the first and ran out of bounds the clock did not stop. That was the play that caught my attention.

Or eliminate a couple of bad kicks the other way and we lost 20-17. I suspect almost every team every week wins each game if that team is allowed to change the outcome of five plays. I am high on Allen. I am high on the teams chances. I hope all of our mistakes were flukes and all of our opponents mistakes were typical. Not clear after only 1 game if I can know that to be true.

It is well known that the teams success if totally dependent on bulletin board fans being focused on the task at hand, and not be idly speculating about three weeks hence.

There is a lot of truth to these posts. But I also think the game plan that allowed the team to move the ball also created the turnover situations to some degree. The four drives that ended in turnovers and the one that ended in a safety, may have all also ended in punts. I am not sure that it is fair to assume they would have all resulted in moving the ball at will.

Over the years I have been read countless threads and had countless discussions about whether offensive results are a result of play calling or execution. On the other hand, I have not been part of many discussions on play design. I watched a 42 year old man wobble out to the field and put up a 125 passer rating last night. I will concede that both his execution and the play calling were excellent. But I swear at least half a dozen of the plays just looked completely unstoppable from the start. During the Bills Jets game, I did not get that sense even once from either team. Maybe it is all because of execution and play calling. I honestly don't know. How important is the actual play design? Do the Patriots really have unstoppable plays or is it just my imagination?

Bills legitimately should be favorites in this game. The money line shows the bills as favorites. But you can get even money on the -2.5 spread. Moneyline has it right. edited: I am idiot, and read the spread wrong. Disregard. Must drink coffee.

But we played the team who ranks 3rd from last in offensive yardage. Defense played great yesterday. They allowed one sustained drive, and were under tons of pressure do to the turnovers and safety. Offensive players should be taking the defensive players out to dinner all week.
