  1. April Shower! Hey, when you gotta go……. 🤷‍♂️
  2. We’ll never know what would have happened, but I think it was the best football game I’ve ever seen in my life. That may be recency bias speaking, but it was an amazing sporting event and I deeply enjoyed watching it. The ending sucked, but I’ll have to live with that. I refuse to let that dampen my enthusiasm. There is nothing I can do about it now other than look forward to seeing them back on the field. Mistakes happen, people learn from them and get better. I had a BLAST watching and look forward to more pleasant outcomes in the future.
  3. You kid (I hope), but at the Titans game IN NASHVILLE I was surprised how loud it was when we were on offense since it felt like it was more Bills fans than Titans fans. I realize the entire row behind me is in Bills gear making as much noise as possible when we were on offense, especially 3rd downs. We had to have a little talk. They thought just making noise was the point. Ugh….. That was the same crowd of people with one guy who started patting me on the head whenever anything good happened. He was more drunk than myself, and I’m pretty easy going. Late in the game he said “Hey! Your hair is all wet!”. I said “I know, you keep spilling beer on me!”. 😂 As for Josh home and away, it’s not that simple. You have to account for weather first and most obviously. We have had some INSANE weather games recently, but there are so many other factors. The quality of the opponent, the game situation (up or down early?), who has more injuries on either side of the ball (did we have a couple WR hurt at home, or are they missing some DB’s on the road?), game plan (they are the worst run defense in the league), etc. Every game is unique and I think it’s far too soon to draw any conclusions. Hopefully Sugar High Josh (it’s a real thing to some degree IMO) learns to control that energy and use it in a productive way. .
  4. Thank you for pointing out what this thread is worth. I am more likely to win the Power Ball than McD is to get fired. And I don’t have a ticket.
  5. Without looking it up, I think we played the Titans once in Buffalo, then 3 straight in Nashville. Someone here said the max you can play regular season games at their place is three times in a row, so we are back to WNY. I LOVE Bills games in Nashville because it’s a pretty 3.5 hour drive and it’s a great city to see a game. It seems like we’ve been going to KC for longer than should be allowed! Since the Cincinnati game is at night on January 2, I considered making KC my road game this year. Time will tell.
  6. That was the beginning of the end for my relationship with the NBA. We split season tix to the Braves with another family and I was all on board. My sister used to babysit for Bob Kauffman and his wife and he’d play with us at the community hoop. When the Braves left I was angry and gradually lost my interest. The season is too long and they don’t give 100% on a Tuesday night in Charlotte, as noted by my young son when we treated him to a game for good behavior while traveling. I guess we were lucky that nobody was just plain sitting out that night. It’s a shame because I enjoyed those Braves teams so much. Now? It’s gotten to the point where I might tune into a game in the Finals.
  7. Will ten Meadcoins cover it? Other than that, I’ll add the cost of my one parking space to my long list of expenses.
  8. You’d better think long and hard before making such accusations. What is the most likely response from PFF? Can you prove it and stay safe? If the answer is “no”, it’s best to abort before opening your mouth. Beside that, what was to be gained? They hurt his feelings and he wants to strike out? Or maybe it’s true but he just can’t prove it. Still, what is to be gained? Looks like the best case is you don’t lose an expensive lawsuit.
  9. As someone who has to pay for airfare, hotel, rental car and meals, an extra $100 or whatever is a drop in the bucket. Maybe I should be more frugal, but I like the peace of mind knowing everything is locked up before I leave my house and spend the rest of the money.
  10. When you are talking about that many digits, taxes become a VERY real and legitimate concern. My wife got a 6% “tax raise” when we left Florida. An NFL contract is an NFL contract. Melvin Ingram is almost exactly the same age as Von Miller, but Von Miller is much younger. It’s all good! .
  11. Wow! Definitely easy to like. He seems like a guy we would target. Fingers crossed!
  12. We can hope, right? And we will have made the world a better place! WIN/WIN!!!
  13. Main St in Williamsville is very close to the airport, has a decent Hampton Inn and many bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. Sometimes I spend some time downtown, but Williamsville is where I grew up and it’s a great option. Downtown is full of good options as well. Just to pound home the point, do NOT be afraid of good seats in the upper bowl. The view is surprisingly good. But don’t settle for the ugly ducklings if it’s your first time. Look at your total travel budget and consider the minor increase to improve the experience central to your whole mission…..being at the stadium and seeing a Bills home game live!
  14. I get that point. If I was happy with getting $300 for my tix, and I get $300 for my tix, why be upset? You got what you asked for. I ALSO get the lack of transparency could be irritating. If you had a real estate broker who listed your house for $300k, and sold it for $400k while keeping the extra $100k you’d be pissed. There is a lack of rigid regulation and transparency that would bug me. I only buy tickets a few times a year, and those SH fees tick me off probably more than they should. I just know someone on the other end is getting screwed along with me. I wish there was a better way that was easy. I guess you pay for convenience. .
  15. My son watched a Bills game while on his honeymoon in Hawaii last season. Big grin cracking a beer in a sports bar who opened practically at the crack of dawn for football fans! They either had no rules or found a way around them.
  16. With that background, I go glass half full and hope he’s the guy to know the difference and does all the right things. I won’t judge you by your family, unless it’s how you overcame. THAT is always beautiful.
  17. Dozens are expected. I meant to book a hotel room a few weeks ago for the first two weeks. Cancel the away week. I would have whiffed with a Thursday night and then a Monday night. The cost of fame! .
  18. Nice commute! My road game was Cincinnati where my college buddy has season tix, one with my name on it. WAIT! January 2 at night? I might stand for the cold, but I have to see what holiday schedules look like for the family. Yeah, that’s how I’ll sell it…….
  19. My plan is yes. I try to make the opener and one road game.
  20. Face it! Fourteen year old boys have few memories as fond as that night beating the Raiders in the end. It’s a special childhood memory.
  21. I thought we agreed to keep this quiet! Sssshhhhh! Monday night opener threw me, I must admit.
  22. Wow…..I haven’t been to a Monday Night game since Ahmad Rashad beat the Raiders. That was one long line getting out of the parking lot. Loved every minute of it listening to the post game show. Amazingly vivid memory. I planned on the opener, I didn’t plan on a Monday night!
  23. Our team looked like that for faaaarrrrr too long.
  24. I’d prefer to finish strong……and pray for the best early. Our first half and second half are VERY different!
  25. I’m not arguing, just balancing the bad juju vibe. We respect every opponent and never take anyone lightly. Let us not be forced to watch anything like the Jags game last year…….. ever again!
