  1. Deion didn’t hit anyone when it was warm out. He must shudder at the thought of a cold weather collision.
  2. It seems we are slipping a bit. Or, maybe Beane isn’t the idiot some people like to think he is? Highly unusual. 🤷‍♂️
  3. I don’t know what she knew at the time, but my mother-in-law had episodes like this when she was close. It wasn’t a month, or even weeks, but in the final few days she was talking to and about people from her past. In high school we read several books about Near Death Experiences, and I’ve read countless books on the topic since. I find it fascinating, and somewhat comforting. There are a LOT of things we cannot begin to understand. The people who work in the Hospice field are angels on earth. I don’t think I could do what they do, it takes something special.
  4. It is considered poor form to say it’s all about the money. 😋
  5. I think he’ll save this one for a playoff game against thew Bengals. It’s GOLD!
  6. Interesting that you chose those two players, as it says a little something about RB’s in today’s NFL. McCaffrey was the 8th pick in the draft so much was expected, while Pacheco was taken in the 7th round. You can get a really good RB in late rounds if you know what you are doing and get a little lucky. I’d have no problem with taking a RB (or even a QB) with one of those late round picks.
  7. I think smaller conference tournaments had some surprises which got automatic bids stealing some spots. The Big East will probably be right back to 5-6 bids next season. It was just the way things fell this year. From my BE team (Xavier) college hoops board: I think we could see The 3 Big East teams do really well, even though I haven't looked at the matchups yet. I believe the national champion is almost always a top 25 offense and defense in the adjusted KenPom rankings. All 3 BE teams are top 25 in both. There are only 8 teams that are and the BE has 3 of them. EDIT: I was away at a wedding so I missed the hoopla when this came out. I heard today that of the four #1 seeds, three did NOT win their conference tournament. Only UConn won, so that alone is 3 extra teams getting an automatic bid. I think some tournaments out West went that way too. . .
  8. You’d look better. You’re a Bills fan so it’s not even close. 😋
  9. When I see the tread title I think you mean “again.” But it is again, AGAIN???
  10. Our son had a dirt bike accident in elementary school. He ended up in a back brace for several months. By the time he got to high school we had noticed what appeared to be some occasional low back and hip stiffness as we’d watch him in sports and life in general. The Docs said everything was fine, but we were not so sure. One thing led to another and we wound up at Doctor Joe’s, the chiropractor. If he was particularly tight or had a big basketball game we’d get him to Doctor Joe between school and game time. There is ZERO doubt as to whether it helped him to some degree. In fact, after one of his first appointment he got a Technical in warmups for dunking. Here’s the thing, even HE seemed surprised! He had never done it before or even come particularly close. And that wasn’t just a one off, he clearly moved better after being adjusted. That dunk cost me $100 as I had the carrot out there. I didn’t see it coming from a 5’10” at the time sophomore. Unfortunately, the new coach had a rule, get a T and you sit the rest of the game, even if it hadn’t started yet. Now, this new HC was standing right there watching him do it, but he didn’t know the no dunking rule either! We got whooped, and the HC got an earful from the AD.
  11. But, have there been any cryptic Tweets? That’s what we all want to know about! I try to always be a wait and see guy, but we know we have a pattern, of something, here. Demons? Or process servers?
  12. Are we discriminating against Zombie movies here? Because I don’t watch either. When did that become “a thing”? EDIT: Of course except for Young Frankenstein, which was hilarious. .
  13. I have to disagree, to some extent. St Patricks Day is the only day of the year you get to listen to live bands along the River in Savannah while wading thru streets flowing with vomit and urine from the porta-potties that had been overflowing since noon. The sweet smell of celebration! You can’t get that every day! ….unless you live in New Orlean. 😂
  14. We should give the guy a break. It’s not like he said he doesn’t BELIEVE in soup. THAT would be crazy. Still, I love soups, so I don’t think we will be able to be friends.
  15. I’ll give you that one, but I need to be graded on a curve. The wife is away, and I have the son’s dog on top of my two. Our puppy loves having a fresh victim. I may have self-medicated a bit. 🤷‍♂️ In case this could in the future be held against me, I was kidding, of course.
  16. I have a buddy that size. He has back problems. 😋 But I’d never want to line up across from him. If he just fell on me once it would be a nightmare. .
  17. The only surprise will be when I find out who this guy is and if I should be thrilled or angry.
  18. He’s made about $7.5 Mil for mostly playing catch and holding a clipboard. Genius indeed!
  19. There is a HUGE difference in quality from PT to PT, but I don’t think insurance has anything to do with it. When my son tore his ACL we went to the PT the local surgeons recommended. They actually set him way back by treating him like an old lady rather than a 16 year old athlete. We elected to take him out of state for surgery (Steadman-Hawkins) but first we had to find a serious PT who could help him regain quad strength he had lost already because he was babied. Pain equals progress in a situation like that, I’m afraid. We had a good chiropractor in FL. He didn’t push more sessions on you, and he really did help to some degree. The problem is, if you adjust but don’t loosen the surrounding muscles you just get pulled back out of place. We found deep tissue massage to be more helpful than the chiropractor. Just my two cents. Hope that is helpful. Good luck! EDIT: I just noticed @muppy was looking for the super smart people. I apologize that you got us instead. 😋 .
  20. The 6th round should be devoted to depth at long snapper. I think that is pretty obvious.
  21. My wife asked a lovely guide why we saw virtually no overweight people in Paris last spring. She said “look around, what are we doing? What is everyone doing? We are walking or biking everywhere.” Seattle and areas with more educational and financial success seem to do better in general. My bottom line - Pizza, wings and Beef On Weck can’t be all that bad for you! 😋 .
  22. That’s why we draft some more! Just like DB’s, you can never have enough because they are always dinged! Or, is that just us? It sure feels that way sometimes, but it should even out over time. Our time is yet to come!
  23. Beane just signs them, he’s not in charge of hype. That is left to others, and sometimes they go too far. .
  24. Is this like looking for a Waldo, who can also anchor as a NT or 1T? At a quick glance it appears to be regional, but I think it’s actually a lot more socio-economic when you keep reading.
  25. Since I live in ATL, I’ll hope they do well and are at least interesting. Nobody cares much about the Falcons since it’s not college football, the main game in any town in the South. Still, it will make a few people happy and be a nice story.
