  1. Has the league provided any video demonstrating what is allowed and what is not. Where do you draw the line? This sounds like a giant gray area, worse than “is that a catch?”
  2. Did you attend a weekend retreat or something with all the mods to gain insight into their deep personal thoughts on this? I’m here quite a bit, and I’ve never noticed the cheerleader level of bias you mention. It sounds like you may have crossed some lines somewhere to me if you were suspended on three separate occasions. Just a thought, but maybe a little self-scouting would be helpful for you. FYI - I guess you can go to PPP for greater freedom of speech (I avoid that place!), but you can get in trouble here too. I’m not trying to stir anything up, I’m just trying to help you avoid further issues. Going out of your way to offend people generally does not end well, in my experience, so maybe that could be part of your self-scouting.
  3. A very smart guy (a retired pediatric neuro-radiologist) once asked me if I knew what the cure for high prices was. I hesitated and he said “high prices.” If something is too expensive to sell successfully, the price will come down, or an alternative will be found. That is often true, it seems. I believe he said it when he bought a house up the road from us, right before the housing collapse in 2006. Ouch! It’s easy for me not to get too worked up about the cost of the PSL’s, because I’m not facing that big, new car size invoice. I just pay a little extra second hand when I get my seats on the secondary market (plus all the ridiculous fees, which is another topic). I’ll wait to see how things pan out before declaring a state of panic. I fully understand being upset, that’s natural. It’s going to cause a lot of angst for many, but these things have a way of working out. I’m sure some people will begin to enjoy the NFL experience from the comfort of home, and it’s a very good experience, indeed. Maybe pick a game or two a year to see live instead of having the whole season and trying to figure out what to do with tix for games you can’t make and/or lousy weather games. .
  4. My, my, my…. someone is pretty prickly about his phone! 😋 Look, I agree Apple should adapt to make things more seamless when dealing with non-Apple devices if it can be done easily. It is probably a calculated and dirty business philosophy. But on the list of things that bother me, you will find this somewhere near the bottom, and you’ll have to dig for a while to get there. It’s a phone, and it does what I need it to do. I didn’t get an Apple phone to make a statement about anything. It’s what we got when cell phones became available, and it’s what we still use. They piss me off when updates kill them, but I still have an iPhone. A cell phone, no matter who makes it, is just for convenience in life. It’s a tool, not a status symbol. I think of cars and a lot of other “stuff” the same way. As long as it does what I want it to do, it’s all good. There is nothing disingenuous about that.
  5. No, he was psychology, I think. This was with Mr Scott and the other guy (also an EMT, Mr Ende?) in religion classes. The Christian Brothers taught chemistry and biology while the lay people taught religion, which I always found interesting. .
  6. I will NEVER upgrade until it is a problem! Many versions ago I went into the store and the guy tried to sell me. I was there for my kids, but he wanted me to have the greatest and newest. “No way you want that old one, this is nothing like the old one. This is a thousand dollar phone!!! And everything is new!!!” Damn, I was just figuring this one out. THAT was the WORST sales pitch I have ever heard in my life.
  7. To be fair, I did not read the whole thing. But I am PRO TD’s! In a very big way! 😋
  8. I get a new iPhone every time they send me an important update…..which makes me buy a new iPhone. It’s not ideal, but on my list of problems it’s way towards the bottom.
  9. I’m not one to quote myself often, but @Gugny agreed with me, and it showed up in green. I thought more of him before that moment. I’m afraid I’ll have to shun you at the next tailgate, my friend. Have a nice life.
  10. The NCAA Tournament was invented as a National Holiday weekend for vasectomies and sciatica recovery. Frozen pea sales spike every year! This is an investment opportunity, I can feel it in my bones. Mortimer!!!
  11. I enjoy watching the Bills drafts. I’d hate for that 4th pick to eliminate my enjoyment for the rest of this draft and the best part of next year’s draft.
  12. Sorry to hear about the sciatica. I had a tinge of it years ago, and I sure was happy when it faded away! On another note, I think @Simon not only “can” repeat the Calipari story, but it should become a TBD Tradition to kick of the NCAA Tournament. Like the Night Before Christmas. Not quite the scale of the home opener tailgate, but still, a fine opportunity for a new tradition. Calipari deserves it, he’s that special.
  13. I hope so! Stack up great games on great games! I really enjoyed yesterday.
  14. Hey, it’s just a phone. Who has such a personal relationship with a phone? Mine does what I want it to do, it works. It’s not special, it just works. This reminds me of someone I worked with years ago who bought a Saturn car. It was such a big deal to them they joined a Saturn car club. I don’t have that kind of relationship with……stuff. Get a life. The “iSheeple” thing is an odd way to label people. I’m not big on labels, but does everyone with an Apple product fit the silly, demeaning term? It’s what I have. I’m not married to it.
  15. Apologies if that was poor timing on a tough topic. It wasn’t meant that way.
  16. I just happen to find him particularly annoying. He has earned it.
  17. …and the sun is a tad hot, be careful. 😋
  18. ….with blue cheese, right? This is always fun, like when you go to bed with a MegaMillions ticket in your wallet. It could happen…… For the record, forget all you people, if I get to choose between winning the MegaMillions and the Bills getting MHJ, I will gladly buy you ALL a beer instead. 😋
  19. Why don’t you tell us what Siri thinks? I’m not going there with her! I don’t trust her discretion. My neighbors are both clever and vicious. I bet she’s on the take.
  20. Seriously, who else was pretty sure this was a joke???
  21. Oh my, that’s………….…quite a haul there. 😂 But then again, they are the Browns.
  22. If they had a real coach to work with the recruiter who is running that program, they might be dangerous. Calipari likes to brag about the billions his guys have made in the NBA. So, why can’t he get a single win in the NCAA Tournament with so much NBA talent? He’s a shameless joke of a coach.
  23. Come on now, you’re not new here. 😋
  24. One of the interview questions should always be “Do you believe the Earth is round?” That could save a lot of trouble.
