  1. They would've been better off just keeping Teddy... he probably needed another year to sit and get his body right, but walking away like they did was flat out stupid.
  2. Fixed this for ya
  3. I'll let you know in 14 weeks.
  4. I entirely agree this is foolish, but whatever, who cares.
  5. Good read.... more and more people are starting to see what Bills Mafia (Bills fans) are all about. While we're largely a punch line because of our antic, we've also become a curiosity and an "experience" from other fan bases and the media. When I meet people (non-Bills fans) who come to Buffalo for games to watch their team play and see what Bills tailgating is all about, I have NEVER found someone who was disappointed. It's an experience that is unique, weird, and spectacular all rolled into 1. We take it for granted in a way... we love it, but we also don't totally understand how good we have it. If they build the new stadium so many people are clamoring for, this will pretty much end... the proposed sites (Aside from a new stadium across the street on ECC land) would eliminate the large sprawling areas for tailgating, private lots, and crazy atmosphere. So beware what you wish for people... this amazing experience we all get to have every Sunday home game could come to an end and we'll be just like every other NFL city ?
  6. I honestly dont know how he is still on this roster, but you're right he needs to play better.
  7. I think people are looking for a reason to bash Marrone here... I mean the guy gives you reason enough like getting into a scuffle with a star player to begin with... but this interview is kind of funny and honestly doesn't need criticism. It's already been said, but I'll repeat it... What is Marrone supposed to say in this situation? The player faked being sick and is now faking a back problem. The Media knows it, the coaches know it, the fans know it.... but the professional thing to do is to not acknowledge it and just move on... the Media wants a sound bite and wants to catch him in something, and he just kinda laughed and bull#### an answer. Everyone laughed because it's a crock, but again, in a professional organization, what's the guy supposed to do? Worst thing he could do is come out and say "Yeah he's faking it." but the owner doesn't want that, and it reduces the already non-existent leverage the Jags have to move the guy as it is... Don't get me wrong, I hate St. Doug, and love watching the Jags crash and burn under his EXPERT leadership... that is expert at crashing a good thing... but he didn't do anything here and actually comes off as kinda funny because he's just spit balling bull#### about the situation while laughing knowing everyone in the room knows he's making it up as he goes along. Entertaining, and he is an asshat, but not because of this.
  8. They have faith and trust in Gilmore on the outside, I think you're 100% right, they're going to clamp down on the short game and leave their outside CBs more on an island and make Allen beat them by pushing it down field with lower percentage throws.
  9. Doesn't change that that player then needs to succeed... USC for instance has had many 1st round QBs but I would argue only Carson Palmer has been a good NFL QB.. some journeymen who made careers but Palmer is the cream of that crop, our own Matt Barkley included. It's the QB that matters, the school may lend something to draft position, but it doesn't make the guy a better QB. Sure he may have played a higher level of competition, but in college they're all system QBs for the most part... only a few really transcend the sport to be more, and those guys always go 1 overall like Luck or Manning before him.
  10. They have plenty of O-Line.... Dawkins - Spain - Morse - Feliciano - Ty McDermott - Long - Bates - Boettger - Ford If you cut Boettger you still have McDermott (OT) Ford (OT/OG), Long (OG/C), and Bates (OT/OG/C)... more than enough depth with guys who can all play multiple positions. If Feliciano can't go, you start Ford at RG and Ty at RT (which they should do anyways). You still have Long and Bates active as your interior backups and McDermott as your backup OT. If Ty then goes down you'd rotate over Ford to RT, and kick Long in at OG. For rotation or disaster situation you still have Bates and McDermott to rotate in for the interior and edges of the line. That's how they will do it regardless of if Boettger is on the team, the guy hasn't been active for 3 weeks. The Bills are an anomaly having this many linemen, most teams carry 8, we care carrying 9.
  11. It's true of every College that they have not produced a good NFL QB, until they do! Then all of a sudden are they a "QB factory"? Of course not! It's about the player and what they do when they get to the NFL, not the college.
  12. If it were me, I would activate both and cut Ike Boettger... they are going to need rotation on the line for the Pats anyways, and Phillips was playing outstanding in both penetration and gap filling. Add both guys to the active roster and start a 5 man rotation rather than a 4 man rotation using Taylor and Peko situtationally based on their strengths. When you have a gluttony of skill like we had coming in with Star, Phillips, Phillips and Oliver you can have just 4 DTs, but when you're trying to figure out your situation because of injury IMHO you're better off having more bodies and giving both guys a shot rather than just 1. If they are doing this, since we would need to cut someone, I would promote one in Harry's spot since he's going to IR, but I would wait until Thursday or Friday to promote the other one and make the corresponding roster move to cut someone. That will severely limit the Pats ability to sign the guy we cut and pump him for information.
  13. I almost feel uneasy having people give us credit for anything it's been so long lol
  14. This reeks of NSA cover up...
  15. Yeah I think our #1 need this upcoming off-season is pass rush DE. Whether they go out and pay for one or they draft one in the 1st, I think they know they need it badly. They kicked the tires on Trey Flowers in FA, and they were in the Clowney sweepstakes from a lot of accounts... I think they know what they need, and they will address it, but not over-pay for it.
  16. No just that in round 1 2 or 3 we;ll look for another starter for the O-Line like we did with Ford. I'm not saying all 3 picks will be O-Line, I should've been more clear.
  17. ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. I think he just needed time away from the team... trying to look Gase in the eye was giving him vertigo...
  19. No the narrative is that he hasn't played up to starting caliber when we've had other guys play better. You want your best 5 to play, especially in the biggest regular season game of the year. As of right now Dawkins - Spain - Morse - Feliciano - Ty is the best combination of linemen we have. Ford is a high end prospect for OT or OG, but he's having some struggles getting up to speed. I say you reduce the rotation to 80/20 and put your best guys out there, but don't take him out completely. You need Ford to develop for the long term growth of this line, but you also want to win now so you can't sacrifice playing ability for growth in a year where you've started 3-0 and are taking on the freaking Pats at home! No where did I say Ford was bad, just that he needed more help. Frankly Long was in there and looked just as bad as Ford. There is a big drop off from Feliciano to Ford/Long at this time in Ford's development. Don't put words in my mouth, just because i'm not pretending things are all sunshine and rainbows, doesn't mean I'm bashing the kid or calling him a bust or something. I want to win, and the best 5 guys protecting Allen is the best way to do that. Ford at this point isn't that. For the long haul they are rebuilding this line inside out and did a lot of work to add guys... but not all were meant to be permanent. Morse has been fantastic, they got Ty who's been VERY good, and they got Feliciano who was hurt but before he got hurt he was playing very well. Spain has been disappointing in spots and good in spots... but he's still about average for an OG in this league. Dawkins has been sub-par, and Ford has been sub-par. Ford should sit if Feliciano can play and ty can play. Dawkins is a necessary evil because they thought he'd take a step forward and IMHO he hasn't. But end of the day they are MUCH better than last year, and they are better than the 3 lines we've played and they're better than the guys the Pats are rolling out. It's very hard to build a line in this league, good linemen are almost as hard to find as good QBs... there are just more of them coming into the league every year. I think they did a good job adding guys who are NFL starting caliber, but if you want stand out OGs and OTs, they just aren't on the open market cause teams keep them. Thats why the Bills also signed the guys they signed to short "prove it" deals. So if they aren't that great, we can get out from under those deals and move on, either in FA in 2020 or int he draft in 2020, or both. I expect them to address O-Line again in a big way next year. They did a nice job patching it, but they need long term pieces, and that comes via the draft unless you want to WAY over spend like we were forced to with Morse. IMHO we'll go OG/OT in the first 3 rounds next year. It depends how Ford and Dawkins play out the season for where they'll go. Ford was supposed to lock down the outside with Dawkins. If he can't but can be an OG, they'll go OT again. If Ford can play OT, they'll look OG, but hopefully also consider upgrading Dawkins. It'a REALLY hard to build a line, and this one is light years better than last year, and still top 20 in the NFL. The best ones are REALLY good, but the rest are a lot like ours... patchwork.
  20. Yeah, it helps him in leverage when he is locked up with guys, if he can keep from getting pushed down he can stack up most guys, but if they get position on him or get him in the hand fighting stage to over commit, he's never going to get his balance back. I think that was exposed when Morse needed to pay more attention on the right side and double team over there, rather than allowing Feliciano to man the RG spot and he could float either left or right based on the play call or protection read. When the Center needs to automatically shift his protection to 1 side every play to make up for a bad O-linemen next to him, that's dangerous because the play call could need him elsewhere.
  21. Spain seemed to struggle later in the game, but I think it was because Morse was shifting over to help out with Ford and that left Spain more on an island than previously... the whole chemistry seemed disrupted when Feliciano came out.
  22. With the new android update, the One Buffalo app doesn't work... so beware anyone who has not done the update for Android OS 10... DO NOT UPDATE IT. I had to go to the ticket office and have them text me my ticket because with the new OS update the app just crashes as soon as you open it. The ticket office knows but the app hasn't been updated yet to fix it...
  23. The hope is this is just a sprain and the MRI is to make sure there is no tear. Either way he is unlikely to suit up for the game this week. we're going to need to make a waiver move to add a DT since we only have 4 in our rotation. With how much no huddle and hurry up the PAts run, even it Phillips can play, he'll be on reduced snaps and they would need to rotate more guys in. Since he is probably not going to play we need more than just 3.
