  1. Watch the game again, I just did as it was on the NFL Network. Duke's hands were free on the first attempt at the ball and he most certainly should've caught it. The replay in slow motion clearly showed that ball was right there for him to catch, the announcers even commented on it. Booger said something to the effect that Duke has got to get two hands on that. The arm isn't grabbed until the second attempt at the ball. Not the greatest picture, but you can see both his hands and arms were free to catch the ball. I recommend you rewatch the game again and see the replay of it, it's clear as day, it was a perfect pass.
  2. He had the second most passing yards(264) this weekend in which Brady, Brees & Wilson played. Between all the QBs playing this weekend there were 70 playoff games worth of experience and only Allen & Tannehill were first time starters. Tannehill completed 8 passes for 72 yards. Allen also had the third most rushing yards(92) this weekend only getting beat by Henry(182) & Cook(94). Henry had 34 carries, Cook had 28 carries & Josh had 9 carries. He had nearly twice the yards per carry(10.2) of any of the 15 guys with 5 carries or more. The only one that he didn't have twice as much was Henry who averaged 5.4 on Saturday. He did this against a playoff team and his stats compared to other playoff players this weekend match up extremely well in his favor and that doesn't even include the 16 yard TD catch. Josh's 372 total yards(264/92/16) on Saturday would've finished second compared to all the other teams total yards only trailing Seattle's 382 yards. That's the other team's whole offense vs just our QB. That's with no favors from his offensive coordinator, who asked him to do way too much in his playoff debut only calling 21 carries by our RBs in a game we were winning or tied in almost all of the 69 minutes. Meanwhile Josh was directly involved in 56 plays(46/9/1). Why do you care what a few lousy ESPN talking heads are saying, when the data says something else? Why do you continue to bash our QB, when you should be praising him and bashing our OC. All you're doing is showing your lack of football knowledge on this subject.
  3. That is his second attempt to catch the ball, why didn't you show the first? Anyways here's the picture of the first attempt at the pass. Notice both arms seem to be free at that point.
  4. He probably will stay, but in my opinion he should be fired. Every good coach will protect a young QB playing on the road in his first playoff game. Up or tied almost the entire 69 minutes and he calls for 46 pass plays? Josh was directly involved in 56 plays(46 passes/9 runs/catches the only TD) while only 21 runs by the RBs were called? On top of all the pass plays, he under used Singletary who was running really well when he got the chance. I only saw 1 or 2 play-action passes which help a QB out(See Kirk Cousins). When the Texans started getting to Josh there was only 1 screen called and where was the max protection to give him more time? That's not even getting into the player personnel usage throughout the game. Josh is now 2-4 when throwing 35 or more passes & 0-3 when throwing 40 or more times, Daboll should know that. It was a horrible game for Daboll, when it counted the most.
  5. I'm haven't thought about it much yet, but if I were you I would ask @High Football IQ. He's the man in the know!
  6. Don't have a percentage, but he improved a lot. Sometime earlier in the season I heard a guy, who had interviewed Josh and he said Josh told him last year there were a bunch of plays that Daboll would tell him look at the first option if it's not there then run. He wasn't even trusted to go to his second option. He's come a long, long way since then. Now get rid of Duhball and we'll really see what Josh can do. I know let's line up Lee Smith and Patrick DiMarco as our only 2 wide outs and run them deep in the freakin playoffs.
  7. I was also really down on Metcalf. Started slow, but has heated up as the year has gone on.
  8. I love this!!! First we won't know how many playoff teams we play next year until next year's regular season is over otherwise we would've only played 4 this year(Dallas, Pats****x 2 & Ravens). I also love that people still insist on trying to predetermine how tough or easy a schedule is before FA & the Draft are over and the first several weeks of the new season have been played. 5 of the 12 playoff teams from last year failed to make the playoffs, including the Super Bowl runner up. If you think coming up small in your first playoff game, on the road, is when you have 372 total yards on the day the offense gained 425, well hey that's on you not me. Play calling and offensive line penalties killed more drives than Josh Allen did and that's a fact. Lastly I'm glad you had to go back 40 years for your example, fail, but at least you know your memory is still there!!! I think you thought we were really going somewhere this year because you seem hurt. It would've been nice to get that first playoff win under our belt, but make no mistake this year was a steppingstone to the next several years. EDIT: Forgot the Iggles were the 5th playoff team.
  9. I agree on all points. This team needs to use the next couple year's of first round draft capital to draft offensive players. 4 out of the last 5 first round picks have gone to the defensive side of the ball, the fifth of course being Josh. 0 offensive skill players or Offensive lineman in the first round out of the 5 and only 2 this decade(Spiller & Watkins). The last offensive lineman picked in the first round was Eric Woods in 2009. Only 4 offensive non QB players drafted in the first round since Lee Evans was drafted in 2004. No wonder the defense & offense are where they are.
  10. Daboll asked him to pass 46 times, run 9 times & go catch a TD pass in a game that we were winning or tied in almost all of the 69 minutes of play vs handing it off to our RBs 21 times. 56 plays he was directly involved vs 21 hand offs in his first playoff game ever on the road. Why? When you can answer that one please start answering the following other headscratchers. Why did Duke play more snaps than Beasley when the Texans struggled against slot receivers? When the Texans started getting pressure on Josh where were the screens and max protections? Why did Singletary only get 13 carries all game? Why, at any point, were Smith, DiMarco, Kroft & Gore on the field while Beasley & Singletary were on the bench? Why were DiMarco & Lee Smith lined up as our wideouts? Why weren't we running the ball while leading the whole darn game? The zero TD passes had way more to do with the OC & offensive line play & penalties than Josh. He should've had one to Duke, it was a beautiful pass, but it was dropped. Suppose he should've went and caught that one also, right??
  11. Allen's 372 total yards almost beat every other teams output. But he's horrible and has to go!!!!?
  12. If Tannehill is reborn lol.??? Damn I needed that. The defenses are keying on Henry so much that he's bound to have a some good games(Hint Daboll). Yesterday he had the least amount of passing yards(72) in a playoff win since 2009. Keeping with that train of thought yesterday Derrick Henry had the second biggest percentage of his team's total yards in a playoff win ever at 75%. If Josh was only so lucky.
  13. Why does he not get credit for the 16 yard TD catch? Shouldn't have thrown to the FB? There was no one open and if the FB doesn't jump 3 years too early, he catches that ball. He was on his way down when the ball got to him. He could've ran, but the Texans had a guy spying on him that play.
  14. Did we watch the same game? Daboll called 46 pass plays in a game we were winning or tied for almost the entire game. Having your young QB directly involved in 56 plays(46 passes, 9 runs & 1 catch) and only handing the rock to the RBs 21 times, 56 vs 21, did I mention we were winning or tied for almost the entire game. Singletary was slipping tackles & carrying defenders when he got to run, but only had 13 rushes, ya know...the whole lead or tied for almost the whole game thing again. Horrific play calling after Daboll got past his first 15 scripted plays. Where were the play-action passes, that help a young QB out? Where were the screens and max protection when the Texans started really getting pressure on Josh. Why did Duke play more snaps than Beasley when the Texans struggled against slot receivers. Why were Pat DiMarco, Lee Smith, Tyler Croft & Frank Gore on the field when Singletary & Beasley were on the sidelines? Daboll was the BIGGEST reason why we lost this game. The defense giving up 22 points from the 1:33 mark of the 3rd quarter on when we only gave up 22 points or more in 3 games this year. Giving up big 3rd downs including a 3rd & 18. Big plays like the Hopkins play and the OT play that set up the game winning FG, those plays in those moments we never gave up this year. Trying a 4th and 27 play with 3 timeouts? Those are on Frazier & McClappy, mostly McClappy.
  15. Really? Let's take a look. The first year of our run the defense was 6th in the league in scoring defense & 8th in yards allowed per game. They gave up 16.43 points a game. The last year of the run our defense finished 5th in scoring defense and 2nd in yards allowed per game. They gave up 15.125 points a game. This year we finished 2nd in scoring defense and 3rd in yards allowed per game. We gave up 16.2 points a game. 2 out of the 4 years our defense was as good, if not better than this year's defense, which was really good.
  16. Fumbles happen especially when a QB is scrambling. The lateral was a play that as McClappy says, he would like to have back. The pass to the FB should've been caught, he jumped way too early. Next.
  17. You're not serious are you? We had 4 drives in the first half. In order 75 yards, 9 yards, 69 yards and 74 yards for a total of 227 yards and 3 scoring drives. I quit reading after that astute observation.
  18. He was slipping tackles and dragging defenders for extra yards and he only gets 13 carries? It was downright criminal of Duhball.
  19. Maybe you don't ask him to throw 46 times in his first playoff game, on the road, while leading or tied for almost the entire game then? Brees benefits from a mountain of experience including a bunch of past playoff games. Allen does not.
  20. What we score doesn't mean firing Duhball, but asking your young QB on the road in his first playoff game to pass 46 times, run 9 times and go out and catch a TD pass while only handing the ball off 21 times in a game we were up or tied for almost the entire game is. No play-action passes, only one or two screens and no max protection when they started getting to Josh are all valid reasons to fire him. He just doesn't learn from games like this and is his and our own worst enemy.
  21. Asking your young QB to pass 46 times, run 9 times and go out for a pass 1 time(Was our only TD) while calling for only 21 hand offs in his first playoff game on the road no less while leading or tied for almost the entire game is a recipe for success, yes? 56 plays he was directly involved vs 21 hand offs, is down right criminal given how the first 2 2/3 quarters went. Where were the play-action passes that help young QBs out or max protection when they started to get pressure on him every play or screens where were they? Daboll's first 15 scripted plays and the player's execution were very good after that Daboll called an garbage game. 372 total yards out of our 425. 11 for 21 on 3rd downs with several coming on passes to very tight windows on the run. More drives(FGs included) ended because of bad play calling & offensive line penalties that put us behind the chains.
  22. A new OC. Don't have any specific one in mind at the moment and don't really care who it is, pick a random guy off the street for all I care...ANYONE but Duhball.
