  1. I get what you're saying. On the other hand one of the "bigs" with Kelly as with Josh was/is it could be Intercepted. Kelly threw a ton of them to tight windows, just like our current QB. Kelly averaged more than 1 per game in 8 out of his 11 year career.
  2. The OC put everything on his shoulders, why do see the faults of our QB, but make no mention of the zillion faults of our OC. 46 passes, 9 rushes & 1 reception that produced the only TD(56 total plays he was directly involved in). The other plays 13 rushes by Singletary & 8 by Gore. That's 56 vs 21. They were 11-21 on First Downs, drove the ball all game long and Josh made several tight window 3rd down passes that most QBs in this league can't make and many of those he did so on the run while scrambling out of trouble which makes that even less QBs in this league can make. The play calling and penalties killed more drives than Josh did. Again he made 4 or 5 boneheaded plays, I won't deny that, but don't say he shouldn't put everything on his shoulders while the OC did just that.
  3. For sure BillsVet. 4 out of their last 5 first round picks have been on defense and the other of course Josh. Not one was used for an offensive skill position or O-Lineman.
  4. I love Kelly as much as the next guy, but go back and really look at his stats. A different time, with different rules I get it, but 60.1 completion percentage, 221 yards per game, 237 TDs vs 175 INTs career & 84.4 QB Rating and he got to get his feet wet in the USFL for 2 years, not in the much harder to play NFL. Thurman was the one that made our offense go back in the day, Kelly was the benefactor of it. Josh doesn't have an absolute weapon like that, who for several years was probably the best player on the field in every game, though if yesterday was any indicator Singletary may fill a similar role. Going forward after first Pats*** game Josh had 17 TDs and 3 INTs, again only 3 INTs over the last 13 games including the playoff game. I'll take a nearly 6 to 1 TD to INT ratio any day of the week and twice on Sundays please. That ratio was only achieved by 4 QBs this year: Brees, Jackson, Wilson & Rodgers, that's pretty good company to keep. Does he make a few boneheaded plays in most games and miss some open WRs, yup, but he improved quite a bit during the offseason and again on the fly after the first Pats**** game. I like where he's headed and hopefully with another offseason of improvements he should be well on his way to where we want him. He's come so far since last year when it was look at your first option and if it's not there RUN!!!! That's what Daboll was telling him last year because truth be known Josh wasn't ready to be a starting QB in the NFL, but Peterman was God awful. He's come a long, long way since then.
  5. What were you watching? His knee hits, no one is touching him, his knee comes back off the ground and is contacted. When his knee hits again he's past the first down marker. They even came back from commercial and showed a freeze frame of when he first got touched and he was clearly off the ground? Puff, puff, pass.
  6. Yup, like he did the rest of the year. I need to look at the tape, but I'm sure that's a play Josh wishes he could have back.
  7. 100% agree, I'm right where you are. A couple bad plays but again 372 total yards in a game where the offense gained 425 total yards.
  8. Absolutely, the kid played his heart out today. 372 yards total offense, the leading passer, the leading rusher and caught the only TD today on the road in his first ever playoff game with coaches who had their heads up their butt. I thought he did quite well considering.
  9. Then he should've answered it the same way he answered similar questions during the year...."I'm sure Josh wishes he had that play back."
  10. Who said we were championship caliber? If you thought we were going from 6-10 to championship this year I don't know what to tell you. This year was always a steppingstone to the next couple of years.
  11. Are you really going to count week 17 with most of the starters sitting? Other than that we lost to the team who finished first in the AFC, the Ravens by 7, lost to the Pats*** at their place by 7 & to Houston at their place by 3 in OT. It'll be ok.
  12. Have fun living in your misery, don't let me interrupt ya any longer. If you can't see that they improved a lot this year and have a ton of resources to spend this offseason, then I know you're full of it and not worth the time. Please continue.
  13. I didn't say it did or didn't. I was replying to Billsvet who blamed the defensive collapse on the defense being on the field for most of the game. His exact quote... Check back to the NE game. When your defense is on the field because the offense doesn't score, people get tired. These aren't marathon runners on defense and even McCoach can't have enough players to sub in every other play.
  14. What are you talking about? Houston finished with a whopping minute ten more in TOP. Wow the Bills offensive players must have been tired also, right? No one should've been tired with an all but even TOP, most had last week off.
  15. No the better question is still what happened to the defense. The defense spent the first half on the sidelines while the offense went on several long scoring drives and the same came be said for the first 10 minutes of the third quarter. It's not like the offense was going 3 and out just punting the ball back to the Texans. They were very well rested at the 5 minute mark of the third quarter and fell flat on their faces.
  16. With over 90 million to spend and 9 draft picks, I think not.
  17. We had only given up 22 or more points in 3 games this year, yet give up 22 from the 1:33 mark in the 3rd quarter on? What the hell happen to our defense?
  18. Bud the TD drop was a perfect pass, it counts as a target. The two throw away I'll give you that's it. He's the guy that's supposed to catch tightly contested passes, especially when they are on the money. It's literally what he's on the field for.
  19. Will not matter if they get the two pointer. Also FG doesn't win it.
  20. How come the defense giving up 19 points in the final 16:33 isn't on your list?
  21. Allen? The guy who had 372 total yards out of our 425 and was our leading passer, rusher & caught our only TD? I know he made a couple bad plays, but that's the guy you want to pin it on?
  22. I totally disagree with everything you just wrote. 10 targets, 49 yards. If you're going to be the big bodied, sure handed, makes the tough catches WR, well then you have to actually catch them. Beasley had 5 less yards on half the targets.
  23. It's not because of Josh, he was running for his life on a bunch of drop backs, dumb penalties & miss blocks on the o-line and dropped passes. I'm not blaming the guy who had 372 total yards out of our 425 and was the leading passer, rusher & caught the only TD we had. Nope even if I felt they way I'd know enough that Josh gave it everything he had and shut my mouth and have his back.
  24. So you use a bigger, slower WR because he sure didn't make the contested catches a big bodied WR needs to make.
  25. I don't think that trying to ease your 2nd year QB early on, in his playoff game, on the road no less, is all that uncommon. Matter a fact it happens all the time, see Tom Brady and a million others.
