  1. I brought up a very similar example, it will get you no where. Plain and simple Garrett took Mason down late, Mason didn't like it and tried to rip his helmet off, Garrett then picked him up off the ground by his facemask, and then twisted it off. Why would people think Mason wouldn't go back at him? There's not a soul on earth that could've predicted what came next. It really reminded me of the fight with Jim Kelly and Marty Lyons. I liked to seeing the fight in Jim back then and I liked seeing the fight Mason showed Thursday night.
  2. There's several on here who will not accept this answer, even though that's what happened. Save your breath. No he wouldn't, way too competitive for that.
  3. Yes and happened to an NHL player for hitting a guy in the head with his stick on purpose(McShorley SP?) He ended up with 18 months probation for it.
  4. Lots of players have come out in Mason's defense, Whoopee. If you can't form your own opinion, it's not an opinion worth having.
  5. No way he stays on the ground doing nothing, not in a million years. Garrett also wouldn't have been dumb enough to take his helmet off and hit him in the head with it. He would've been done for life.
  6. Haven't you tried to make this point 142 times already? The league still doesn't agree with you, but maybe if you get up to 200 times they may start listening.
  7. Which happened after Mason was taken to the ground late. Mason got mad, Garrett went nuclear. Garrett doesn't already know you can't go nuclear on an NFL field? In a primetime game no less. One got mad, one lost his mind. It's not anyone's fault but Garrett's that he can't control his temper.
  8. No he shouldn't. His actions were responses to what Garrett was doing to him. Just because you don't believe that doesn't mean Mason should be suspended.
  9. I agree Gronk should've been suspended, but under no circumstances can a player be allowed to take off another player's helmet and use it as a weapon against them.
  10. He simply reacted to the way he perceived he was brought to the ground late. Then to getting pulled up off the ground by his facemask. Jim Kelly would've done the same thing Mason did or worse if that happened to him.
  11. Nope. Garrettt clearly had a hold of the facemask and as he started pulling up a foot was placed in his groin. If many are disagreeing with you, are we the problem?
  12. He does try and push off Garrett with his foot. This was after Garrett had a hold of his facemask and was pulling it. If a 275 pound man was trying to pick me up by my facemask I'd hit him with a foot to a groin also. Pause the video and go frame by frame, the foot comes second.
  13. With you having about 50% of all the responses in this thread, I'm trying to figure out why, but I'm torn between Garrett is your boyfriend or you just broke up with Mason.
  14. And? If you walk by and give me a shove and then I knock you down, pick you up by your head and hit you in the head with a baseball bat are people going to stand around going, well he did push him?
  15. A.)Much harder to prove. The pictures you posted prove nothing. B.) Grabbing someone's nuts in a pile when there's a fumble has happened since the start of the NFL, players have talked about it forever. It's nothing new. Picking someone up off the ground by their facemask, ripping off their helmet and then striking them in the head with their helmet has never been done and my guess is after the long suspension is handed down, it will never happen again. The game footage on the other hand proves everything in an assault trial against Garrett. Don't even need to call a witness. C.) The first nut shot(If that's what it was) would be because Garrett was lifting him off the ground by his facemask, what would you do...sit there and do nothing?
  16. I have no idea how Pouncey's act deserves the same punishment as Garrett's. If Pouncey gets the rest of the year, Garrett would get all of next year also. Public opinion plays a part in this and the opinions of Pouncey's actions are far different than the opinions of Garrett's actions. He should be arrested for his actions, just like what happened in the NHL when a player used a piece of his equipment as a weapon and hit another player in the head with his stick. He got 18 months probation.
  17. This is the exact phrase I've been using since the Pats*** game. Our coach has Josh playing like Tyrod Taylor, who could hit Sammy deep when Sammy was healthy, but then after playing under McDermott for part of a season every deep pass was either too long or too far out of bounds. You have to allow a young QB to make and learn from mistake or he'll never reach his full potential.
  18. Seriously, you were too lazy to check before commenting? Passing wise the two seem to be going in different directions, Josh started the year slowly and is getting better and Lamar started hot, when no one thought they would throw as much, once teams adjusted his passing game has gone downhill quickly and he's reverted back to running the ball. Ran 36 times the first 4 games and has ran 63 times the last 4 games.
  19. I think part of it is Daboll, 9 new starters this year with even more new back ups & a talented, but young and unpolished QB. I said before the season that they would struggle on offense the first half of the year and start clicking the second half of the season.
  20. He did have some plays, I'll give you that, but at the end of the day 163 passing and 61 rushing for a total of 224 yards of offense. That's on 39 plays he either passed or ran(23 passes, 16 rushes). Around here if you're not throwing for 300+ yards a game you a failure at QB. Heck if Josh doesn't throw for more than 224 yards this place implodes.
  21. Could be, maybe they just are hyped up more early in the year flying around the field?
