  1. The article below is being reported everywhere. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/brown-consulted-social-media-experts-to-help-force-way-out-of-oakland/ar-AAGZiWZ Also this about the video with his phone conversation with Gruden. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/the-producer-of-antonio-browns-video-said-jon-gruden-approved-the-use-of-phone-call/ar-AAH2s8x?li=BBnb7Kz Why would Gruden approve that?? Because he's Gruden.
  2. Let me guess....you yelled "If you smeeeeeeeeeeeell la, la, la, la what the Rock is cooking" right before this?
  3. As he said as a second year RAW QB, playing in his 12th game, there's still going to be some errors. Unlike several of the top notched QBs he wasn't given 15+ games to sit and learn, like Brady, Brees, Mahomes & Rodgers, he's had to learn while starting.
  4. I read on NFL Network the value is actually 350k? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001052924/article/odell-beckham-violated-league-rule-with-350k-watch
  5. And......he starts a thread to further two agendas, even though his "hot take" was wrong on one and his thoughts on the other the coaches don't share. Pretty sure Beane & coach have a better idea with regards to both WRs, but keep banging that drum. Bang...bang...bang.
  6. I really can't think of one since Kelly, Bledsoe possibly. Either way is good to see our young QB give a WR, who's known to fight for the ball, a chance. Those two could be special with a little more time together.
  7. Especially early in his career, we're going to see some throws that Josh wishes he could have back. He's a bit of a gambler thinking his big arm can fit it in a small window. As long as the good outweighs the bad and we're winning, I'm good with it. This was only his 12th game of his career, as he matures it should get better. I thought overall he showed good progress over last year and I love that he's unflappable, even down 16 on the road late in the 3rd.
  8. I agree! Last year in 161 attempts Shady had (3) 20+ runs, in (4) attempts yesterday Singletary had (2). Beane and coach look like they made the right decision moving on from Shady and giving Devin the starting nod.
  9. Actually Gruden said in his presser today that it had been an emotional time for him and he was upset. This one stung him and you can tell, he's totally bummed he didn't have a chance to work with AB during the season. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxsB56uv9-k
  10. So wrong so many times. Dude you might be the Gruden of this board. Hindsight shows Mayock handled this well, AB was off the rails. Gruden also listed people who tried to make it work &...wait...for...it Mayock is listed as one of the people in the video from today's presser below. He wasn't asked about Mayock and didn't have to include him, but he did. You're soooooooo wrong, but you just keep banging your head off a brick wall trying to deny it. Bang...Bang....Bang. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxsB56uv9-k
  11. I don't know definitely about Carr, but AB has been on a roll again in the last hour or so.
  12. Was he not loved as a child? Is that where all this is coming from?(I understand he's talking about Oakland in the tweet)
  13. You have to see how he does in comparison to Josh Allen. Most people had Ferrell pegged in the late teens - early 20s.
  14. I was going to say the same exact thing. Glad it worked out well for the good guy, the other deserves his tire fire, he's the one who started it.
  15. Why do people always try to make their case comparing a current marginal player to the best of all time? Rice had a work ethic second to none. Mentally he was better prepared on the field than any other player. Physically he was famous for his offseason workouts, so much so some of the best started training with him and copying him. His route running was far superior to pretty much any ones. He has 29% more career yards than the second place WR & 16% more career TDs than second place Emmitt Smith. Those are big percentages over the second place player in each category. He was a once in a lifetime player.
  16. May be, but probably not. Tom's short game is still top notch, but his long game is fading quickly. Moss was beating everyone deep back then. Also we easily had the best pass defense last year and coach comes up with good game plans neutralizing the pass game. I really liked our defense last year, especially being on the field all the time and being put in bad positions, but I love our defense this year adding Oliver & Edmunds having a year under his belt.
  17. How's this thought process working out? Once again off the mark, this was ALL on AB. Biggest tire fire I've ever witnessed in the NFL. Yup Mayock could've handled it better and released him after the threat. It would've saved everyone the couple days of nonsense that ensued. Gruden couldn't find the right choice if someone handed it to him.
  18. My God this is almost exactly what I've been saying in this thread...Where have you been lol? I could've used another sane person like 15 pages ago!! Glad someone with with a respectable opinion sees the same things. Past NFL, Duke would be on the field tomorrow playing for someone, but the game has changed and is always getting faster. Not Duke's fault, he's just a couple decades too late.
  19. I agree Shaw. He may or not be a good coach, but he has no business running a team. I'm sure I'm forgetting things but a small list since he returned to the Raiders: 1.) Traded arguably the most dynamic defensive player in the league to get them picks & clear up cap space to rebuild the roster. -This is the dumbest move he made since returning...you start the rebuild with Mack as your centerpiece. 2.) Trading Cooper to Dallas for what was going to be a late 1st round pick. - Again keep a few of your good players to help the rebuild. It's not Cooper's fault he plays for the Raiders. With the Raiders 6 games, 22 rec. 280 yards 1 TD. With Dallas 10 games, 53 rec. 725 yards 6 TDs. Average per game with the Raiders - 3.6/46.6/.16, with Dallas - 5.3/72.5/.66 3.) Signing Nathan Peterman - I mean I'm sure he's a good guy and all, but everyone knows who Peterman the QB is. He'll impress the hell out of you in camp & pre-season, but once it's real...he's a CB's best friend. 4.) Traded for Antonio Brown and redoing his contract to give him more money - I thought he didn't have money to spend on a big contract? Just a year later he signs AB in what would become the biggest tire fire I've ever seen in the NFL and they haven't even got to game 1 yet.? 5.) Drafting Clelin Ferrell with the 4th pick in the draft. - Good player, but not at 4th overall. They could've had Josh Allen, who most people say is the best passer rusher in the draft. The man is a beast. They then could've used their 24th pick and an additional pick to move up into the teens and still got Ferrell. 6.) Caving over and over again to AB, even to the point that with all he did he wasn't released until AB asked for it. - Gruden comes across as spineless, even taking AB's side over Mayock's. It was rumored he was already close to losing the locker room last year after the Mack trade, this will probably add more fuel for the fire with some players. Gruden has shown over and over again why he shouldn't run a team. He had a decent/good core to build around with Mack, Cooper & Carr. Blew it up and probably kept the worst of the three. They're so much further away from just being respectable than they were when he arrived. As I said yesterday Gruden couldn't win a coin flip if you gave him a hundred tries.
  20. So you're on the side of, they should've pampered him, even after all the chances they gave him? Of course they were going to try to recoup the bonus money, why wouldn't they? Because the Raiders are dealing with a union, they have only so many days to notify the player, agent and union of the actions they are going to take.
  21. He QUIT on his team in week 17 last year in a must win game, because he was more important than the team. Not showing up for practices is him being more important than the team. There's a pattern here, but it's not with the thought process of millions. He's shown how much they appreciate him by the amount of money the Raiders were willing to pay him. He could play Monday and catch 2 balls for 12 yards & a fumble just as easily as getting 10 rec. for 200 yards.
