  1. There’s no upside in arguing with revisionist curmudgeons like him, @BillsFan4. Darryl told me that the fund and the outpouring of love from the fans, “saved my life because I was going to end it for sure.” If someone that calls him or herself a Bills fan can’t find joy in knowing that, then you have to just hope they’ll start following another team.
  2. I’ll play “Glass Half Full” guy: “It’s great to see Tre claiming the ball as his. Our D is going to rock this year!”
  3. Absolutely, and vice-versa when the Sabres have breaking news and they switch to John Murphy's show.
  4. That is trash. I was off work yesterday and was ready to keep the radio locked on WGR55. They switch to the Instigators and I bail a nanosecond later. The programming director needs to understand the audience.
  5. Ironically, I found a note in a bottle today as well. It read," Hello, July 16, 1995, Orchard Park, New York. I've tossed this bottle into the water to bring joy to any Bills fan who finds it. It occurs to me that the Patriots have Drew Bledsoe as their QB and he's only 23 years-old. He will be their starter for the next 10-15 years and we will win the division every year as a result. It's a stone cold lock."
  6. If you think that's bad, Cruise just announced that he is now filming a sequel to TAPS where he is, beyond belief, still in military prep school.
  7. I don't want to see men's feet, so it's a big NO from me.
  8. He was a joy to watch. RIP, Sweet Pea.
  9. I use Go Daddy. They also have easy hosting if you decide you want a website.
  10. “Look At Me Post.” If the shoe fits...
  11. Thanks, that first link is great stuff. Here’s a small sample: Fourth—and you should be furious that we are at a fourth complaint about the return following a trade of the Hawks’s ONLY young, mobile, NHL-ready defenseman—the scuttlebutt is that Nylander has motivation issues, that he half asses it sometimes. So he’ll be a great ***** fit here with Duncan “***** You” Keith and Brent “Best Shape of His Life Because Spheres Are Shapes ***** You” Seabrook, whom the brass is so scared of that they traded Henri Jokiharju for some joker who struggles to compete in the ***** AHL. Good. Very good. Tickets still available.
  12. John Scott reveals that he choked out Risto in the Sabres stick room. https://www.listennotes.com/fi/podcasts/dropping-the-gloves/free-agent-frenzy-2-hour-NSufwXD_EaO/?t=2795
  13. 59 years to the day that 7 year-old Roger Woodward became the first person to survive a vessel-less plunge over the Falls. Surreal. http://www.infoniagara.com/history/rogerwoodward_miracle.aspx
  14. Conception. This was playing for some unknown reason. 9 months later I was bummed that I had to move.
  15. Here is Joni Mitchell’s Miles of Aisles Full Album. She’s at her peak here and every track is a gem.
  16. The wife and I went to see Yesterday last night. Very well done and a must for any Beatles fan.
  17. That's a shame. He was a blast to watch play. RIP
  18. I feel bad for the waitress. A $5,000 tip-of-a-lifetime that probably will get taken back by the credit card company.
  19. Sabres have signed a 3rd-string goalie among 4 FAs inked today. https://buffalonews.com/2019/07/01/curtis-lazar-john-gilmour-andrew-hammond-jean-sebastien-dea-buffalo-sabres-nhl-news-2019/ Up-to-date FA tracker for all teams. https://www.diebytheblade.com/2019/7/1/20677252/nhl-2019-free-agency-tracker-buffalo-sabres-panarin-lee-bobrovsky-zuccarello
  20. No worries. Not trying to be militant about it, but it seems to be a common mistake and I used to be a newspaper columnist for many years and always appreciated editors that caught my errors. Love the topic, btw.
  21. Saw. With the the grammar lesson out of the way, it was the Niagara Power Authority’s 25th Anniversary spectacular at the Niagara Reservoir in 1985. They were done by the same people that had put on the show for the rededication of the Statue of Liberty a couple of years earlier. They were choreographed and set to music simulcast by 97 Rock. Purple fireworks exploded over Jimi Hendrix’ guitar riffs on Purple Haze. Jaundiced explosives filled the night sky as Donovan sang Mellow Yellow and silver, glimmering pyrotechnics lit up the evening landscape as the Beatles sang Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I wish I had had some way of recording it for posterity’ sake.
  22. I don't know. He was on that Dr. Drew Rehab show some years back and was a complete mess. I didn't think he was going to be long for this Earth. Here's hoping he is okay and makes a full recovery.
