Bills very interested in rudolph

Washington in particular is way overrated for round 1. He has been terrible in the pre draft workouts. -

I hate the 12th spot if we aren't moving up. I don't think Smith is there anyway. You'd have to move up again. The Blue Chip guys are gone because there are maybe 6 and you end up over drafting guys like Rudolph. The staying at 12 is a "hope someone falls to us" strategy. -

This^^^^ I have become pessimistic about the draft trade up otions. I think the Jets outmaneuvered Beane. May have to play ourselves into a franchise guy. -
So if we were the Giants....

As depressing as it may be, we are not in a great position to land one of the Big 2 at this point. The next question becomes do you try and trade up in the 7-10 range and draft Allen or Mayfield- if they are even there. We are in a pickle. Have to have a dance partner and I'm not sure we are wanted or needed. -
The path to the top is now clear

Yep everyone seems to assume the Browns want more picks. I think we are shutout unless we get to 2. And, it ain't looking good. So tired of this BS narrative. -

Bad week for the Bills. -
You think McBeane feels that way? They could also have some lower picks coming back from the Giants. They feel tremendous pressure to get up to 2 and get one of the big 2 LA QBs. The biggest question is are the Giants willing to trade. I'm not convinced they or the Browns are willing to move down to 12.
-
I think they may have outmaneuvered us already. I remain unconvinced that you can the big 2 anywhere but at 1 and 2. I also am not so sure that the Giants feell a need to trade down especially to number 12. And, Cleveland doesn't need to trade down from 4 either, they have plenty of picks and have to sign them. Sorry for the pessimism, but the only hope to get Darnold or Rosen is getting Gettleman to move the number 2 to us. And, I'm not sure he wants to.imo

I agree with what you say. We would like to move to 2 and get Rosen. If that is not possible where and who are we taking...assuming Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Barkley go 1-2-3-4 in some order. I still believe Denver would take Baker at 5 , but even if they take Nelson or Chubb we are left with trading up to 7 TB for Baker as the only alternative. And, you may be right he is viewed below the other guys and closer to Jackson. what scenario are you seeing other than number 2 that I'm not?
-
I want to believe and have been one of the biggest supporters of trading up to 2. I'm just very worried we are going to get shut out this year and still not may a real successful attempt at getting a top guy who can play soon. Allen is a talent, but a huge project imo and I don't doubt that most teams realize this as well. Sorry for the pessimism but I'm not comfortable at all like I was 7-10 days ago.

Thanks for the attempt at optimism. I have been very pessimistic since the Jets trade up and remain so. #12 is huge problem to overcome with a limited number of Elite prospects at the top. scenarios I don't like: 1. Darnold goes first, Rosen second, Mayfield third we are !@#$ed with the guys who could play soon. 2. Darnold, Barkley goes 2, Rosen goes 3, Chubb to Browns, Mayfield to Broncos 3.Darnold, Chubb, Rosen, Barkley, Mayfield I think we are big trouble unless you want Allen perhaps. I don't this high.
-
I'm highly in favor of moving up. Having said that I wish I could share the optimism. I don't right now because I think there are too many moving parts at the top and I'm not seeing it add up in the Bills favor. I think #12 is a big problem for the Bills to overcome because people don't want to trade down that far.

I've yet to see anyone say that there are sure HOFers in the draft at QB. I have seen many elite QBs taken at the top of the draft and a higher success rate at finding an elite QB as discussed ad nauseum on this site. I am seeing a lot of hyperbole, BS and complete risk aversion by some. Reminder : "The Settle Strategy" has no guarantees either and a far lower success rate.

You really don't want to hear what almost all of the scouts say do you? And that is that Rudolph is not an elite QB. You dodged our earlier discussion trying to use your opinion as evidence. Now you're trying to tell us that the top guys as rated by the scouts weren't elite. I'm sorry but this can't be taken seriously. Just take your Loss and drop the argument.
