  1. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001089888/article/nfl-100-alltime-team-wide-receivers-announced
  2. Usually I have a difficult time with the really old guys like Dutch Clark at RB. However, hard to leave Don Hutson off, first really great receiver. I think they did a good job, but I would have taken off Largent (fine player) and added Calvin Johnson. Paul Warfield is a no brainer from his era. Marvin Harrison was terrific as well with the single season 143 catches record. Lance Alworth was incredible glad he made it. Could care less about Owens, I think the guys a loser and wouldn't want him on my team. JMO
  3. Don't worry they're out there.
  4. These kinds of stats prove nothing. At one time before Emmit Smith, it was said you couldn't win the SB with the NFLs leading rusher. Then along comes Emmit and bingo Cowboys win, and then TerrellDavis... The point about getting an arbitrary 300 yards passing has nothing to do with whether a team can win the SB.
  5. That's the biggest key to this game is ball security, the second biggest is special teams need to fight to a draw at least, and don't give the refs anything (like Jerry, Shaq, Jordan etc.) mouthing off.
  6. Essentially this is a boxing axiom at play, "you have to knockout the champ to be the champ!" Basically don't expect the decision, you need to be better.
  7. Nice to have a coach who doesn't blow leads and gets the win in spite of fans wanting him to air it out. Must be one of the reasons he's a successful NFL coach.
  8. He has been a critic, especially of Allen. If he is indeed coming around, I say kudos to him. Tired of these stubborn, die on this hill, protect my narrative at all costs types.
  9. Paywall? I was able to read it! Not a great article, just the usual Josh Allen is wildly inaccurate, still the same guy he was in week 4 and Pats don't need to change anything, hes a good athlete and runner but not fast like Watson and Jackson. Thinks Pats won't have much problem because he's a turnover machine.
  10. This in spades, those teams quit in several games. The culture absolutely had to change.
  11. Where is jrober to tell us he is a bottom tier QB and back it with his QBR.
  12. Big surprise coming from you
  13. How long is Dougs contract? If he has anything owed to him I'll vomit.
  14. Btw, it is okay to have 2 good players, it doesn't have to be this one is good, the other one sucks. Sign of the times.
  15. If you take age, potential, contracts etc. into account as HB mentioned, and establish that we are talking about going forward. The guys I trade him(Allen) for right now, subject to change in the future, Hapless is thinking like me. I get Mahomes, Watson, Wilson....I'm leaving Lamar out, you can put him here if you want. Not trading him for the old HOF guys: Rodgers, Brees, Ben, Brady, Rivers Not trading him for Vets on the decline: Ryan, Stafford, Dalton, Newton, Fitz Not trading him for these Young guys: Mayfield, Brissett, Minshew,,Trubisky, Darnold, Haskins, Jones, Murray, Lock, Wentz and Prescott(contracts) Not trading him for these JAGs Winston, Goff, Garapollo, Carr, Tannehill, Cousins(contract) It would be interesting to sample a group of NFL GMs privately and see what they came up with. I think many Allen haters would be surprised how few QBs they would trade Allen for. Likely more than the 3, I bet a hell of a lot less than 20. So taking the high road, middle ground-getting to double digits(10+) is trying way to hard.
  16. insufferable. The Bills defense was -8 expected points on defense their third worst performance this year after Philly and Cleve. That's what I'm talking about. Over and out. Done Yeah he did, but went on to ask if Allen had ever carried the team since maybe Minnesota last year. Me too. Like you, I can admit when my opinions need revisiting.. Agreed. It is so much fun thinking about the next few weeks. Enjoy.
  17. I thought you didn't care about yards- had a QBR of 121 in your language, our defense was not lights out and he looked like the best player on the field that day.
  18. The old saying use to be "when you display a skill you own it". I was largely refering to those who say he hasn't shown he can carry the team when needed, he can.
  19. Many seem to forget that a couple weeks ago against Dallas he played a pretty big role in the win. Dallas did put up a lot of Yards(450+) and First downs(30+) even before we got the lead. The defense didn't win it alone. I don't know about you, but when he was eating the Turkey leg, I didn't hear anyone arguing he wasn't the MVP of the game.
