  1. Love getting Kyle Williams 2.0 at 96...... A little surprised he was still there, but that's great for us.

  3. That's too bad..... I know a lot of Bills fans that were hoping to get him at 12.....
  4. Well, the first round wasn't all bad.......  I'm $50 richer!  Easy money!!!!  HA!  While I guaranteed the top 10....even as high as the top 5, even I didn't think Mayfield would go first overall.

I take cash or money order!  :)

sven, you should take that bet

    And I have.....

  5. Look....I have been as vocal as anyone on this board in my desire to stay away from this kid. But, what I have been consistent in saying is that it isn't because of his prospects of being a good QB in this league, it's been because he needs more work than the other QBs in the draft. He needs to get to a level of consistency that many of the other QBs already have. That's the biggest concern. In breaking him down during the pre-draft process, the biggest issue with him is not his accuracy......it's his footwork. Far too many times his footwork was jacked up and he was throwing off balance or off his back foot. That led to the completion percentage being low because his throws were too inconsistent. HOWEVER, if you watch him when he is at his best, when he is throwing with the proper mechanics, in rhythm and on time, he was as ACCURATE as any QB in this draft. The problem was, he didn't do that nearly enough and not as much as the other QBs in this draft did and therefore his completion percentage suffered. There were other things that didn't help him either. His offensive design for one was very basic and was based on a vertical passing game. His WRs, especially this past season were, let's just say, not NFL caliber. And I'm not sure he has the best QB coaching, and coaching in general around him. As I said, I was not a big fan of drafting him because I look at him as a bit of a project and as someone that will take longer to see the field. But, make no mistake about it, my preference not to draft him and to go another direction had nothing to do with the talent he has. When he is on, and everything is on time and on rhythm, he was as good as there was in this draft. There were times he looked like Dan Marino. But because of the inconsistency with his footwork, there were also many times he didn't even look like a first round prospect. Us as Bills fans need 1 thing with this pick. We need our coaching staff to get through to him and fix his footwork. If they can make him consistent with his footwork, most of the issues he had will take care of themselves. He will also need better coaching so he can anticipate when and where throws need to be made so he can be better going through his progressions. He does leave the pocket early a lot, but I do think that fixing his footwork and rhythm may help a bit with that. It may take him longer than others in this draft, but if he does figure it out, he could be special. Will he be able to figure it out, though? That's the question.
  6. While you never like to have to give up picks to trade up, all Bills fans should be pumped about this pick. This kid is a beast and could be one of the best LBs in the entire league for the next decade. There were many that had him as a top 10 talent in this draft, so to get him at 16 is awesome, despite having to give up the extra picks.... Great pick here.
  7. OK.... He was not my first choice. He wasn't even my 2nd or 3rd choice. I believe he is a project QB that will take at least a year or 2 to develop. I firmly believe the Bills should have gone in a different direction, not because I think the other QBs in this draft have more potential, but because they were closer to actually playing in this league. Just tired of waiting to see good QB play in Buffalo. I will say this....Josh Allen, if he reaches his full potential, could be the best QB in this draft. He has all of the physical tools you dream about a QB having. But how long will it take for us to see these tools? I don't know. I watched every game he played this last season and he just has so far to go to be ready to play in this league. His ceiling is higher than any QB in this draft. When he's on, he looks like Dan Marino out there. I'll give him that. But his floor, if he never develops, is Kyle Boller or JaMarcus Russell. Not sure I have ever seen such a gap between the very best and very worst a guy could be. I hope on behalf of all of Bills Mafia that he reaches his ceiling and does it sooner than later. We're all family here, so welcome to Buffalo, Josh. I hope and pray you have a very long and successful career here.
  8. $%^&$%&^$%&%$$%&^$%&$^% Josh Allen to Bills

  10. No excuse for Beane now...... This board has fallen perfectly for him. If the Bills don't land Rosen, he has FAILED. Period.
  11. Colts take Quenton Nelson
  12. Broncos took Bradley Chubb
  13. Browns took Denzel Ward ........ Really? They wouldn't trade down because of him?
  14. I think there is a big possibility it is Rosen here......
  15. I really want to believe the Bills are smart enough to stay away from Allen.... I really do. But I just have this nauseating feeling that Josh Allen will be a Bill in the very near future. If the Bills, after all of the draft trades, player trades, and a year plus of researching these players end up with Josh Allen in the end? What a disaster. The only thing that makes all of that worse is trading up for him in the process.... If Josh Allen is a Bill at the end of this draft, the clock starts ticking immediately on Beane and company..... Please Bills...... don't mess this up. Whatever it takes for Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield.
  16. NO..... Get out of here with this stuff.
  17. This is getting more ridiculous and hilarious at the same time....
  18. As long as it's not a trade up for Allen, I don't think you will hear that much out of too many. Sure, there might be some upset as to the price to move up, but the majority of us will be fine with the price, no matter what it is, to land Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield.
  19. Here's what I hope...... 1. The Giants stay put and don't draft a QB or 2. The Giants trade with the Bills and we end up with our guy or 3. This might be the best scenario...... Because of the personal relationship and friendship with Beane, even if they can't come to an agreement on a trade, Gettleman at least tips Beane off as to what they are looking to do. If the Giants let Beane know they will not be trading with anyone else, and will not be taking a QB, then that information is almost as good as a trade. The Bills know they can then do what they need to do to get to 4 and still get one of Mayfield, Darnold, or Rosen. I'm not sure if that personal relationship is good enough to get that information out of Gettleman, but it would sure help provide clarity to Beane as to what he needs to pull off tonight. It would also help to know who the Jets are taking, but that is probably less likely to be able to find out.
  20. They can't get to 2...... They can get to 9-10, though.
  21. Yeah....this is definitely interesting if Beane did say this. He wouldn't say this if he didn't know what the Giants want for #2. It would be impossible for him to say this if the Giants told him they weren't open to trading or, if they were open to trading, what it would take. So, yeah, if Beane did say he has the ammo to get there, he definitely knows the price and something might be on the table where he just needs to pull the trigger. No way Beane could say this if there wasn't a price already out there on the pick.
  22. That's the thing.... I'm not so sure the Giants do pass on QB. I know there has been a prevailing thought that they won't, but until they don't take one, I still believe there is a good chance they do. Hopefully they don't and we have a shot at Darnold or Rosen, but there is a good chance the Giants pivot and decide to take a QB.
